Default Henman Out at Queen's Club!

Shocking defeat to Karol Beck official just a second ago! 6-2, 3-6, 7-6 for Beck! Unbelievable... What happens to Henman now at Wimbledon? Will he play Nottingham? What a shock, do you think staying longer on the Terre Battue messed up his grass-court preparations? I can see the Brits crying! Beck saved a match point! Your thoughts on this startling upset, please.....

He has actually shaved his beard off, his cheeks are as smooth as a babys bottom

But I am glad he lost this week, the worst that could have happened is that he got to the final and felt tired.

Now that would do more damage to his Wimbledon preperations imo.

Anyway who cares? We got Jonny Marray and Ian Flanagan playing Grosjean and Hewitt tomorrow.

British players are the new Argentineans, watch out!!!

Liam and MaSha, please restrain yourselves -

MaSha, one loss does not spell doom for Henman. Please evaluate your comments, and apologize for them.

Liam, please do not make outlandish assertments, like coining the British players the "New Argentineans."

The two of you combined grate on my nerves like fingers on a chalkboard. Neither of you contributes any intelligent thought to the threads you choose to post in or create. You simply offer up bizarre predictions or lustful thoughts spurred by the tempest of raging hormones in your adolescent minds and bodies.

Please, for the sake of all of us, come back when you can contribute something of worth to the discussions (and when you figure out how to turn the red font off).

Ok then it's official that the Don has no sense of humour.

Of course the British players aren't going to be as good, you actually believe that?

Dear me are you for real?

As for the red I have said before it is for me to know where my last post was. Who is making you read it?!?!?!?

Wait, Don, you're kidding? Apoligize for my comments on Henman's loss? You're cracked man. Liam, don't mind this guy, doesn't see anything with a optimistic eye. Whatev, feldy, chill out, and this loss is most CERTAINLY quite alarming for Tim's legions of fans.

Don, I see where you are coming from, and I find that last post of yours hilarious, these younguns do contribute a funny post every once in awhile, like when Masha was upset because he couldn't stop ma$turbating to pics of sharapova. In the meantime, I'd ignore the threads they start, and maybe their moms will call them for dinner before they can post too much nonsense.

Henman losing is ridiculous. All the emotional stamina of a five year-old.

@wright, thank you for your agreement. Personally, I'm not all that perturbed by their continuous displays of idiocy on this board, but I'm well aware that I am not alone in being a bit annoyed by these two. I have always felt it my role to rise to the occasion and lead the group, and thus, my post condemning these two was authored.

As for being young Mr. Curran, I am 17 as well - your age is no excuse for your continuous ignorance and idiocy. Keep up the fabulous work.

Aaahhh

I get it, Don you don't get sarcasm, my apologies for assuming you knew what it was. It must have been my ignorance

Here is an explanation:

1) A cutting, often ironic remark intended to wound and or amuse.
2) A form of wit that is marked by the use of sarcastic language and is intended to make its victim the butt of contempt or ridicule.

My so called ignorance is actually good old Brirish wit!
And as for the idiocy I have no idea what your going on about?

Soz kidda!

Mr. Curran, perhaps you have heard the expression "Give credit where credit is due." I live my life by these words, so as not to come off as arrogant. However, you have not shown me that credit is due, so I will not dignify your ill-measured attempt at a rebuttal with a complex response.

What I will tell you is that cutting and pasting a definition from dictionary.com does not give you any kind of "wit," sarcastic, caustic, or other. The fact that none of your posts contain all or any of the criteria for sarcasm outlined in the definition you cut and pasted only serves to display your infinite idiocy to me and the entire board.

Good day Liam.

I feel more comfortable now calling you by your first name after all we've been through together, if that is alright.

No probs mate you can call me by whatever name you like!

May I call you "The Don"?

Well you say my post didn't contain any sarcasm in it, yet my post about the British players being compared to the Argentineans is about as sarcastic as you can get!

Godbless Ya!!

You guys should really pay more attention to what the players themselves say. Yes, Henman's loss was surprising, and it would seem like a damper on his Wimby prep, but it really isn't that way. In his post match interview, Henman was totally dripping with confidence, which is the only kind of preparation he needs because he's an experienced enough grass court player to have good form when it counts...meaning at Wimbledon. Henman himself said that the loss is disappointing, which is understandable, but that it will in no way hinder his preparation for Wimbledon. He also said that he's playing very, very well.
Now when a player speaks like that, my confidence in their performance for when it will truly count, also intensifies.
When Yevgeny was still playing, and would lose all those early round matches in preparation for the slams, I didn't worry that much because I knew that he had been in a strong contention for slams before and that he would lift his game when he needed to. Had it not been for Guga, the incomprable Kafelnikov would have won at least one, if not two more RG's. And please don't argure with me on this point. His form was staggering each time he lost to Guga in the QF when Guga went on to win the title. Those were by far Guga's hardest matches to win in each of his runs to the title.

Vanja is right about Yevgeny. I seem to remember him playing his heart out some years ago against Guga, only to lose in the end. Really tough luck, but at least he has won RG before so it's not so bad. As for Tim, he has done badly at Queen's before and still played well at Wimby. So if you're a Tim fan you shouldn't get too worried about this result.
