I wouldn't make too much of his loss at Delray. He's just coming back and it takes time to be consitent night after night. Plus the body has to adjust to playing at that intensity, especially when you reach your mid-30s.
Think about it, Agassi could be playing the Senior Tour right now. How ugly would that be? Nobody would take a game off him. |

You must be deluded, barry. Why do people have such hateful feelings towards people they don't even know? I watched the entire match and could tell something was obviously wrong. He was hesitant to run and he missed pretty much every single backhand return. This is Andre friggin' Agassi, when he gets his racquet on the return he never misses. I guess he purposely lost the match to a guy that had never previously taken a set off him so that he didn't have to play, then he dropped out of the Australian Open because he didn't have the guts to play in a depleted field in his best Grand Slam.

2nd time he has done this, kind of says it all. Guess it is the only place he ever gets injuried. |

not that I agree one way or the other, but I can absolutely understand why Agassi would skip the AO and played a small tournament a week later.
First, it wasn't a week, considering the preparation time for the AO and the 2 weeks during the AO, it is more than 1 month of lead time. Plus, even assuming Agassi was about 80% healthy before AO, he might not want to work so hard and risking the injury again just to get to the 2nd or 3rd round of AO and then lose at the beginning of the second week due to not being 100% to begin with. The season is 10-11 month long and AO is in January. It is totally understandable that taking care of his health issue is in his best interest. Playing the small tournament was just simply a better channel to test how fit he was at the time, rather than in a Grand Slam. |

His court movement was the same in both sets, just could not serve. So if it was a foot injury, it never was visible during the match. If anything he could have claimed a shoulder problem which would have been believable. So many injuries, he should retire. |

Even Mac said it does not look good, Agasii was grabbing his shoulder! Can't believe he pulled out with a foot injury, he faked it! and quit the tournament! Took his toys and went home for the exhibition match with Roddick 3 week later. |

But, fine, whatever, of course, if it makes you happy, you're right. He made up the whole thing. All he wanted was the money. He stashed it away with all his other millions while chuckling about how he "fooled" everyone - except you, of course. How sad to live with such a negative opinion of people you don't even know. |
