Imagine if they were at Roland Garros, or the Davis Cup somewhere! It would have been 10 times worse. The crowd booed Sharapova and cheered for Golovin. Dont see anything wrong with that. Plus, as the commentators were saying, many of the fans dont like Sharapova due to her grunts.
europeans give a damn about "unwritten rules" because they know better. i don't like Sharapova but when I compare her to Roddick....i don't need to say any more. and what's the crowd's response to Roddick? nothing. what's the comentators' response to Roddick's bad behavour? uhm, nothing.
pathetic. am I wrong? if people don't like somebody they become so inventive. they will always find something. not very mature

Sharapova's loss today had NOTHING to do with the fans. She was simply outplayed by a better opponent today. End of story.

Golovin's grunts? All you can hear was a slight whisper vs. Sharapova's shrieking at the top of her lungs...idiot

its not a written rule. its an "unwritten rule". and just an excuse for a buncha prudes to rag. she should skip the nasdaq 100 next year.

I hope she does skip it next year as it's a mandatory tourney, which means she gets penalized with a loss of points, and she gets a fine. Thus that move will drop her ***** lower in the rankings. I'm all for it.

and how many points did davenport get penalized? she'd survive it. sometimes theres just principle involved. let em use serena to sell their tournament.

bad coaching.

exagerating the use of reverse FH on each blimey shot ... losing power there ...
It's working ok for Nadal, ain't it? Most of the top players use it too, though I can't recall Blake ever hitting it. Federer does it, but not nearly as often as others.

You'd better become a Federer fan, its less stressful.
I have a feeling, with clay court season on, being Fed's fan may become a lot more stressful than before, so this is a bad time to join a bandwagon. I say, wait till Wimby, then join.
