europeans give a damn about "unwritten rules" because they know better. i don't like Sharapova but when I compare her to Roddick....i don't need to say any more. and what's the crowd's response to Roddick? nothing. what's the comentators' response to Roddick's bad behavour? uhm, nothing.

Sharapova's loss today had NOTHING to do with the fans. She was simply outplayed by a better opponent today. End of story.

its not a written rule. its an "unwritten rule". and just an excuse for a buncha prudes to rag. she should skip the nasdaq 100 next year.

I hope she does skip it next year as it's a mandatory tourney, which means she gets penalized with a loss of points, and she gets a fine. Thus that move will drop her ***** lower in the rankings. I'm all for it.

SHARAPOVA got OWNED today. kuznetsova was playing sooooo well. i dont usually watch womens tennis if it isnt justine Henin hardenne but when i woke up it caught my eye.good tennis. the booing, i would have if i were there.

It's working ok for Nadal, ain't it? Most of the top players use it too, though I can't recall Blake ever hitting it. Federer does it, but not nearly as often as others.
