I use the N6.1 95 now and am looking for a backup racquet and thinking of having a different one which I can also test occasionally. I looked at the specs of both O3 White and N6.1 95 on racquetsportsindustry website, and they have almost exactly the same power level, with the O3 White significantly lower in weight and swingweight.
Compared to many other racquets, the N6.1 95 has a larger power rating, possibly reflecting its heavier static weight. For example, the Wilson N5 98 has much lower power. The really light and head heavy racquets of course have more power, but I was surprised how powerful the N6.1 95 was in comparison to many lesser frames which you would think have more power. But, the O3 White seems to be an exception. It is a 11.1 oz racquet which has the same power as the N6.1 95. Its stiffness is very close ( 67 to 68 ). Has Prince somehow created a racquet which has player stick specs except with less weight? Or it does lack stability and plow thru? |

im almost positive that the n6.1 95 has less power than the n5 and the o3 white. it even says that n6.1 95 has low power and the n5 has medium power in the racket specs that tw put up.

I would have thought so too, but see this (I agree TW would have said low vs medium etc): (last column is power):
Wilson H1 Outer Edge 135 135 28.50 253 39.25 15.45 75 329 3825 Wilson n5 (98 ) 98 27.25 278 37.50 14.76 63 312 1974 Wilson nSix-One 95 (68 holes) 95 27.00 347 32.00 12.60 68 329 2125 O3 White MP 100 27.00 315 11.1 33.25 13.09 67 317 16×19 2124 O3 Shark Hybrid Midplus 100 27.00 314 11.1 33.75 13.29 66 322 16×19 2125 Type SX 100 27.5 336 33.50 13.19 68 326 16×19 2328 Quote: The power formula used here is: (headsize × length index × flex × swingweight)/1000. "Power" refers to the intrinsic power potential of the racquet. I have never felt that lighter racquets are more powerful, in the sense of being able to hit a heavy ball. They may have more repulsive power though. Anyways, the 03 White is still an enigma |

the n6.1 would have less power than the n5 when swung because the n6.1 has a higher swing weight causing u to swing more slower and weaker than the n5.

Im personally looking foreward to demoing the 03 white along with the 03 blue and 03 tour versions. And for the the player like racquet with light weight, im thinking its the o-ports (The only tennis tech that works imo)

The O3 Hybrid Shark is very similar to the O3 White buts its ports are at 12 and 6. Power level according to Racquet Sports Industry is almost the same, according to the Prince web site White is more powerful, according to TW and posters on other threads, Hybrid Shark is more powerful.
Which is correct? I searched but could not find a pointed 1-1 comparison between the two. |

I think thats because the ms hybrid has a power level of 925 while some people talk about the os hybrid which is 1025. so the o3 white is weaker than the os and more powerful than ms becuase the o3 white has a power level of 1000 on the prince scale.

TW classifies O3 White's power level as low-medium and the Hybrid Shark Midplus as medium (so more powerful).
