Today I was hitting with some friends. For some reason, these older Penn/Wilson balls that lost their fuzz, yet still had good air in them, was making a really loud noise whenever I hit them. Yet, when I hit with new Dunlop balls, I was getting no where the sound I was getting with the older balls. Has anyone had this happen before?

Yeah, all the time . I love balls that get "broken in" like that the sound brreds cofidence on my shots.
