This is what I recall.

1988 - air ace low (white, green, black) this might have been version II
1988 - air trainer I (white, green, black)
1989 - air tech challenge I (marine green, neon orange French / purple, marine blue US Open)
1989 - air tech challenge II (hot pink, black, grey - Masters)
1990 - air tech challenge II (hot pink, black, grey - French)
1990 - air tech challenge III (optic yellow - 90 US Open)
1991 - air tech challenge III (purple - French)
1991 - air tech challenge IV (black / red - US Open Davis Cup)
1992 - air tech challenge IV (baby blue / black)
1992 - air challenge huarache (white Wimbledon / white green US Open)
1993 - air challenge huarache (white, yellow, black)

Don't forget the Air Alarms fit in the late 90's somewhere.

Default FYI - Air Tech Challenge

Air Tech Challenges have been released in Europe

They are available on a few different web sites. Here are a couple:

From the Tennis Warehouse Forums...

TW,

Will you guys be carrying the Nike Air Tech Callenge retros that were released in Europe recently? If so, when can we expect them to be available for order?

http://www.hypebeast.com/2007/03/nik...allenge-retro/

At this point and time there are no plans of carrying the Air Tech Challenge at TW. The shoe does not have any of the support or durability technologies of the original. It is a retro, casual release only. Due to this, Nike has made it available only to fashion stores rather than tennis specialty stores, like TW.

So Nike must not just be re-releasing the same old shoes using different materials. i was under the impression that they were just using the old molds and producing 20 year old shoes using cheaper materials and selling them for the same price they sold for 20 years ago. What makes the shoe not have the same technology that it had back then??? I can see using cheaper materials to produce the shoe but does that mean that these retros are essentially newly designed shoes or are the molds just being tweaked??

As I posted on there, the comparison shoe is not accurate. Read the comments which explains all including the reason the Blazing Ball is not included.

Keep in mind, I do feel Agassi's 1990 US Open version colors were different and were brighter as pictured but the general release are exactly as shown on the new retro version.

even if they couldn't use the flaming ball logo, i wish they would have at least kept the black part on the heal. a while ago i saw a sample version on *bay that was white and gray (where the yellow is). that version was sweeeet. will pick those up if they come out. go to this old *bay auction to see what i'm talking about. #110085043170
