Federer's string on PS 6.0 85

I know Federer used to use a whole gut string job. But what was the tension and gauge of the string, and what kind of gut. Thanks.

i think that he used nat gut in the mains and enduro in the crosses, not very durable mind.

I think i've seen a pic of him w/ the 85 w/ babolat stencils, a la pete. Maybe vs natural gut? I dont know for certain, I'm just pretty sure I saw that pic

The only thing that would make picture #2 more strange would be to see him with a babolat.

Federer used Babolat VS gut 16g @ 54lbs ... no hybrid

A guy on these boards who actually talked to Fed around 2000-2001 (when he used the PS 6.0 85) gave me the info. Do a search for it...

Looks like Federer then used Wilson gut in the 85. Wonder if that's one reason why Wilson started retailing Babolat gut, just so Federer's frame wouldn't have a Double Line stencil.

Yes, I am sure that is the case with retailing VS.
But he didn't start using Wilson Gut until last year.

Federer got a Babolat contract when he was young but when he was freed from it, I guess he just bought his own. And wasn't Wilson Gut released in the last 2 years?
