Default FedEx.. argh !!

Do all methods of shipping offer insurance? I was told AirMail doesn't and express does only sometimes (depends on contents).

I like FedEx service, I do, but today I got a call from them saying I have to pay 90 euros (order was around 120 USD which should be VERY close to the 90 euros) for customs... Ok, well, I was counting on somehting like this.... but when I got the price breakdown, 60 euros were for FedEx to pick up and fill the forms.... thats 70-80 bucks FOR FILLING FORMS... I have filled various customs forms before, both in Portugal and UK, and it never took more than 10 minutes, so how the hell do they take so much?

I'm never going to use FedEx for outside EU shipments, and would really like to know if TW works with other fast insured parcel services or I may be forced to go somewhere else as I'm not gonna pay the same in customs than the price of the goods.

I must say that TW service was great, they shipped very fast, and I know this isn't TW fault, but I woudl like to know the alternatives.
Thanks
