I'm partial to Samsung sets these days... and usually head to my local Costco to see what they have available.
I picked up a 40" Samsung model 5050 last year on sale for about $400 OTD. It's LED and while it won't connect directly to the internet... it was priced about $100 less than the models that do. (I use my PS3 to handle all my media streaming... your results may vary!) |

I'm a Samsung fan as well. I have a 32" model. Also have a 40" LG that I've had no problems with.
I'm able to use my XBox360 for all media needs, and it works well with both sets.

Olde English 800 yo thats my brand. Drink it in a bottle, 40, quart or a can.
As far as TVs just buy whatever. Then pay an equal amount on aforementioned OE800 picture wont matter.

Just go for it, Sony XBR or Panasonic VT series.
Samsung's 8000 seris line is their best I have one in plasma but it has pink blurry whites on white scenes.
