Wonder why DH was the only one that looked ready for those pics. The others DO look like faces on wanted posters.

You could just check them out on court--not many are made-up there. (Which is actually a plus--they usually look their worst on-court, so if they look OK there, they're usually a thumbs-up. How many celebrities can we say that about?)

Ivanovic, Sharapova, Kirilenko, Azarenka, and Hantuchova all look good without makeup IMO.

Yeah... I try to stick with the stuff I think the regulars here will approve of. Unless it's a particularly "spectacular" pic (if you know what I mean, and I think you do).

I don't always post every pic in a shoot, or pics that are unflattering to an otherwise attractive player. That sucks for completeness' sake, but is more fair to the player re: fan impressions. Addition by omission, in other words.

(Although you could make the case that most of the "mugshots" were pretty unflattering and I posted them anyway. So I'm a hypocrite there. )

I agree, makeup does wonders. The others seemes like they were photographed just getting out of bed.
