Default How to hit topspin forehands spanish style on clay?

What is the proper technique to hit a spanish forehand on claycourts? Do you need the wiper motion? Do you have to hit the in front of you and lean on the backfoot? Could anyone please advise?

I play with semi western forehand and double handed backhand.

If anyone could help it would be appreciated.

If you could do some search on it. There was a huge debate on how to perform these type of game.
But basically, yes - you should have this whipper motion, hit in front od you (higher than usually). You should play from semi-opened position, placing your weight on your back leg, and than:
-when playing in the line step into the target place;
- when playing crosscourt, you are just pushing back and slightly forward, so one more time, into the target.

Whole power of the stroke is taken from uncoiling motion, started probably from balls of your back foot (right for FH for right handed pr.)
Other notes:
- spinning power is taken from low to high movement of the racquets head;
- you should not precede with your hips like guys on TV, lol. This should be smooth motion. What you see on TV, on slow motion looks normally.

Try and imagine yourself (or actually doing) hitting the outside of the ball...it will give you more rotation on your shot, providing you with more spin and crosscourt angle as well.

Make sure to hit out in front of you, almost like you're swinging really, really early.
