Default PRO TENNIS TRIVIA THREAD

Someone made a request to TW to create a trivia folder and Chris said thanks, but no thanks. I am enjoying the trivia, so I thought I'd create a trivia thread for those interested in keeping this thing going. If the desire to have tennis trivia burns out, the thread will dissappear, but if people are really interested, it will continue somewhat indefinitely. Here's an easy one to start the ball rolling:
Which (mulletted) late 80's player turned Borg on to the party lifestyle?

Not tennis trivia but trivia nevertheless:

1. Question: Who had the most basehits in the 1950's?
Answer: Ritchie Ashburn

2. Question: Who had the most home runs in the 1950's?
Answer: Duke Snyder

3. Question: Who got "hit in the face" the most times in the 1950's?
Answer: Rock Hudson

OK, my turn... this oncourt misunderstanding involved two claycourters and some bananas in 1998. What happened?

And this question isn't that hard---which ATP pro had one of the funniest quotes of all time---"85 percent of the women on the WTA tour are fat, lazy pigs." (Pause). "I'm sorry, I was wrong in saying that. It's 80 percent." And which TV commentator had the best flub when he said---"Michelob, because so much is riding on your tires."

The WTA quote has to be Ivanisevic or Safin.

Nope, it was Krajicek. And the TV commentator was Drysdale.
