Default PK 5G Pro and 10G

Used a PK 5G Pro and 10G weighted to 14.5 and 14.1 oz strung today. Anyone try the 5G PSE? Cannot believe how easy it is to keep the ball deep, to volley, and the pace on the serve. Like turbo-charging an old slow swing.

PK 5G weighted to 14.5 oz? And your arm didn't fall off? Damn. For singles or doubles?

I've got my 5G taped up to about 12 oz.

Ronaldo, did it FEEL heavy at 14.5 oz?

No, not heavy at all but the swing motion was soooooooo smoothed out, felt like could keep the ball in play all nite long but there is this women's final, eh?
Will try it for dubs tomorrow. Better not be late on the swing though.

Heavy racquets are great for hitting your groundstrokes deep and improving stability on volleys. But it has its downside in my opinion.

For example, the maneuverability suffers, especially on the volleys. And most importantly, the ability to hit outright winners from just inside the baseline is seriously compromised.

I think the best thing to do is to weigh it so that the swing weight comes to a compromise between the best stability and the best maneuverability you can obtain.

14.5 oz.? Wow! Do you have to start your swing about the time the ball leaves your opponent's racquet so you can hit your shot cleanly?

It's 1:47 right now, here on the west coast. Anyone think Ronaldo has finished that swing yet?

Played 4 sets, 3 1/2 hrs, will play singles after the Final. Btw, play next to a guy using a PS weighted to over 15 oz.

So???

After 3.5 hours, are you still pleased with the uber-leaded 5G? Did you learn anything new while playing doubles?

I'm reluctant to add any more tape, but you've got me wondering.......................................

Well did hit two balls over a fence into traffic but that was the 1st two sets and it was home run derby. Volleys are a lil tricky. It is a bit of work too.
