Did any channel air the semifinal matches? The Tennis Channel did not and as far as I can tell, neither did ESPN. I missed Vincent Spadea taking out Roddick... something I would have liked to have seen since Spadea is one of my favorites.

ESPN dropped the ball in favor of b-ball. Wonder why TTC had the semis listed then failed to show them?

Don't know, but crazy that Spadea beat Roddick.

May I just say that Spadea did a amazing job hanging tough when he was down and indeed played a great match. He was broken twice in the second set but immediately broke back which I believe frustrated Roddick quite a lot.

I saw this match from the 2nd set onwards, spadea was playing great. He just blocked Roddick huge serves and dictating most of the baseline rallies. Frustrating Roddick by running him from corner to corner and forcing him way out from the baseline. Roddick was just almost at defensive position most times during rallies. At times he drew Roddick to the very uncomfortable net position and from what I saw, Roddick volley still pretty much sucks. There were also quite many times he just bang winners at Roddick huge second serves. He's got great backhand too. Great win!

I remember a couple years ago when Krajicek was around #4 in the world he and his coach thought Vince Spadea had the best 2 handed backhand in the world, bar none, even Agassi's.

Vince played a great match and definitely deserved to win this one. Roddick however was not at his best and probably contributed partly to his own downfall. But overall I think Vince won this one. Yee is right about Andy's volleys- he really needs to work hard to improve this shot.
