Festivus for Cespedes leads to A Comedy of Error(s).Defensive errors lose it again for the mets. At least it wasn't the middle infield this time
Go bucs.
Gonna be a tough division again. Brutal. Not a Pitt fan...but I'll gladly take them over the Cards and Cubs.

On another note can someone please get rid of that crappy tampa bay stadium! Aggggggg. There are so many great ballparks in baseball right now and that thing just keeps showing up every year. Its like watching a game from some crap park in 1985.
each nl division looks like a three team race if they stay healthy
Mets/nationals/Marlins
Cubs/cardinals/pirates
Giants/Dodgers/Diamondbacks
I think the Marlins will fizzle out in late June early iuly they just have too many bad players cuz loria is cheap. The nl west is just which team stays healthy they're all pretty equal. Cubs and cardinals are the clear favorites in the central for the division and a wild card pirates have a shot but they got worse.
Mets
Cubs
Giants
Cardinals
Nationals
That's how I think it ends up. Nationals have an easier schedule and should pick up more wins than Pitt and I see Pitt losing more to the cards and Cubs this year. Dodgers lost greinke and have a ton of mediocre injury prone starters behind kershaw. They have the talent on the field and in the bullpen to beat out the Giants but the Giants rotation is better. Dbacks lost pollock already that's a killer.
Was all forgiven by KC Royal Crybabies for the high and tight WS pitch???6 innings 3 hits 1 walk no runs 9 k's against the toughest team to strike out. Thor is gonna finish the year top 5 in cy young voting nasty stuff by him Henderson Reed and familia to shut out the royals
Saw nothing wrong with that call. The runner tried to grab the fielder and actually did. Its obvious. Whats funny is toronto acting like it was a basic slide. Bfs.Well I guess we just saw this new rule enforced in the Jays-Tampa game. It'll take a while for the players to get used to this because they've been taught their whole lives to do whatever it takes to break up a double playy.

The ump has no choice but to make the call the way he did. If runner did in fact interfere then ump has to call runner going to first out. Period. What I didn't like about it was that they reversed it so completely into a DP that ended the game. They've left too much discretion to the umpire on a play like that where EE may have been safe at first anyway. I have no doubt that Bautista reached out with his arm, but what if Forsythe makes a bad throw regardless and/or EE beats it out? You can't tell me that the umpire knows those 2 things beyond the shadow of a doubt.
Gregg Zaun said it best: "This is not 12 year olds wearing cleats for the first time. It's major league baseball.
But I can't say I was surprised. I had a bad feeling the minute they went to a review and saw Bautista reach out with his arm. My exact words were "They'll reverse this just to "make a statement." Umpires and refs in all sports love influencing the game.

But he did intend to interfere with the turning of the double play by grabbing fielders foot. Therefore they made the right call. If he slides and does not grab fielders foot then call is not made. There should be no controversy here. Toronto is pissed cause they lost game. But it was a good call.In that case, the rule itself is faulty. And if you thought it was bad coming out of Toronto, just wait until it happens in August, September, October to the Yankees or Red Sox or Cubs or Cardinals or Mets. You won't hear the end of it if what we saw last night decides a WS on a slide that was legal last year.
Last year we saw guys getting injured on dirty slides, hence the basis of this rule change, but that's not what happened last night. Bautista had no real intent to injure Forsythe. I mean, if you can't slide like Bautista did, how do you slide anymore? The more I see the replay of this the more it looks like a regulation slide that guys have been doing since the game was invented. He could've tucked his arm in, but I think that's being really picky on what was a relatively safe slide.
And I've seen much tougher DP's turned than the one Forysthe quite frankly botched last night.

Didn't have a dog in that fight so I'm not butthurt but that whole bench erupting over what is just baseball and then publicly promising retaliation smacked of nursery school behavior. You mean the World Series Champions? I think you have them mislabeled. Sorry for the butthurt over the loss.
Man I just loving having baseball going on. Put it on in the background, or on the radio, it's so relaxing. And I love checking every morning the scores, stats, and highlights. Ahhh I'm so glad it's back. Can't wait to hit up some games this summer!
Agreed by far the best radio sport.
What games do you usually go to? Haven't been to citi yet wanna get down there. Have been to the old Yankee stadium and Shea. Used to go to the new haven Ravens games (A team) but they left a long time ago. Sometimes hit up the Binghamton games cuz minor leagues are awesome. Get to see upcoming talent and they're cheaper and better seats

It was actually pretty cool. It was built like a triple aaa park only thing i didnt like was netting all the way down the foul lines. But i understood cause people who dont normally watch baseball would get killed. Its probably a soccer field now lol.How was Barcelona?

Oh man that was 1992 i think i have some old camera film pics somewhere. Nothing digitial. I dont really know why they took baseball out of the olympics in the first place. Other than thw pros not playing.Interesting, any pics?
