Worst tournament in history. 2 weeks of friendly matches to see 8 out of 24 teams out.
Euro's even in the 16 Team Era were interesting only starting with the semifinals, till then you would see Portugal 1-0 Czech Republic or Spain destroy France in Donetsk without France even trying a valid shot on goal.
Would like to see semi's like Northern Ireland vs. Ireland and Albania vs. Hungary.

I think Man Utd have a bit of a problem with that. There was something a few months back with Martial and a youth player arranging something similar. I remember a few other things in the past 18 months too.
To be fair, it probably happens at most clubs. Strange how it keeps getting out though.

Teams who performed far worse than Albania in qualifying are there. My point was they accumulated 11 points in 7 games without the awarded match. Also considering their superiority to Serbia it would have been no surprise to take the 3 in Belgrade without the abandonment. Denmark failed to beat Albania in their 2 matches, they had their chance and did not deliver.
Confused how this makes Albania frauds, slightly fortunate maybe. Had it been another country (not Albania) maybe you would not brand them frauds?

It's made of Matic and 10 pieces of wood. Denmark suffered from that incident a lot more so I am not as pissed as you think considering the ongoing heated rivalry with Albania. If Serbia were in Denmark's place though, I would be raging.

Sterling absolutely awful. Kane very poor. Lallana and Dier were great.
Russia are woeful though, and our inability to take advantage of that says it all. I won't be surprised if we don't make it out of the group stage. Shame because we've got a talented side I'd say but there ya go, you knows who's responsible.

England actually played pretty well I thought, just too slow and a lack of quality with the final ball and finishing.
I'd prefer Alli in the number 10'ish role that Rooney was in. Dier and Drinkwater holding, but that can't happen.
Better teams are going to punish us easily, but it was nice to see Roy go for the attacking selections.

I don't think they're weaker than Slovakia. They have a good team in the offensive side, but their defenders sucks, specially Akinfeev. He made that great save from Rooney's shot, but the goal was pretty much defendable (he raised his arms like a t-rex, come on).

I voted for Portugal, mostly because I'm Portuguese. I believe they can win it, but I also believe there are better teams. Our team is uneven. We have pretty good midfielders and wingers, but only one striker (and not very good at that). Our defense may go from quite solid to a complete mess (Bruno Alves is a huge liability and Eliseu, Ricardo Carvalho and Pepe on his awful days may also represent a risk). If they remain focused all the time and play at their absolute best (and with a bit of luck), we may have a good change and finally win a big competition (damn you Charisteas!).
