Yesterday I was at the gym, and looked out of the window. Far away on the grass was a little pup (white with a few spots) sitting on a blue tarpaulin. It was such a joy to see him sitting there looking important. Like "Everyone, look at me, how i am sitting here". This litter of pups run around in the parking lot of the building which houses the gym.

Back at home after dinner, I went out( after the men's doubles final). My black dog was sitting on her hind legs (that's one of the most wonderful sights to me, a dog sitting on his/her hind legs). Especially if the ears are at attention. She had one ear upturned and her mother was licking it clean. Her mother licked her eyes and then started cleaning her ears.

Do post a pic of them, if you can.

Traveling in an overheating GMC Vandura on Highway one - completely stoned, BTW - I met a strange lady who made me nervous. She invited me to her place and after spending the night together we enjoyed breakfast.

Back in the summer of 1996 I shined bright in a five a side tournament in Dublin. I was the only kid playing because of family connection. We lost the final 1-2, but everybody was watching the final and I had my moment to shine. Lovely goal with outside of the boot left foot. Consolation goal, but it was thee goal. After the game, all these drunk plumbers and co, they talked about what a great future I had in football, despite the fact that I was a goalkeeper in school and maybe the worst outfield player ever. That goal was a perfect fluke. Semi final I scored the winning penalty. Who is this kid with nerves of steel? People ready to call me the next Keith Gillespie. lol I can always remember that day. It was a lot of fun.

I got a trophy that I kept. Goal of the tournament. Good times.

Traveling in a fried-out combie on a hippie trail head full of zombie I met a strange lady - she made me nervous. And she took me in and gave me breakfast.

Buying bread from a man in Brussels
He was six-foot-four and full of muscles
I said, "Do you speak-a my language?"
He just smiled and gave me a Vegemite sandwich

Which by the way, vegemite is terrible. No offense to any Aussies on here, but I tried vegemite years ago and it was awful.

People here are sad if there hasn't been a pleasant moment to share in nearly four weeks.:(

I ran into the nicest couple two nights ago. They rode with me two months ago and came back to tour with me again both Thursday and Friday.:):)

I'm watching Ray Donovan marathon of Season 4 episodes...great soundtracks!

ELO, Warren Zevon, Bob Seger; I just heard the Billy Bragg recording of a song Woody Guthrie wrote but never put to music...California Stars.:)

I've got the first two episodes of Mr Robot S2, but don't know when i'll get around to seeing it.
I have Fear the Walking Dead to catch up with (s2).
Was S1 good? I haven't even watched TWD since the fall of 2014. I got disengaged from it somehow.

BTW, @stringertom, I watched the Pilot of Ray Donovan and I wasn't impressed. Does it get better?

You won't miss anything by NOT watching FTWD. I was more watching it out of nostalgia or something. It is NOT gory like TWD. I rather like the actors / characters much better. But it still does not reveal anything as to how it all started.

Just skip it.

I don't believe I've seen the pilot. The level now is great IMO. Acting, directing and production levels are all strong...the soundtrack choices really hit the themes and moods they're exploring. Lots of subplots within each episode to expand on each character. Liev Schreiber's face alone expresses the grittiness of his role as the patriarch of an incredibly dysfunctional family, especially dealing with sh*thead father Mickey, played to the hilt by Jon Voigt.

Watch some more...it will grow on you.

Can't stand Liev Schreiber, the guy looks [for the role he's playing] soft like a wet noodle, full stop. You need someone suave but gritty, menacing and maniacal for a high-end fixer.
I guess we'll agree to disagree then. I think he's superb in the role, with a lot of grit as opposed to his appearance in The Manchurian Candidate.

His whack job of the Russian mobster in last week's episode was very chilling...a choke hold, two head butts and a successful wrestling of the gun and firing close range into the guy's jaw to kill him with brain splatter across his own face...that's not soft.

He can do the part all he want [and he isn't a bad actor at all, it's just that...] but his cuddly and puffy look can't be masculinised even with the stubble on his puffed up face. Some just can't wear it right. He should do fine in Valentine's-themed movie.;)

...end of Part 1.:D

You've seen too much of sewretch. Now all macho men look like wet noodles and milque-toasts to you.
You'll never be able to enjoy gangster movie/ TV shows again. You are ruined for life.

Sewretch does remind me of Sydney Greenstreet, who appeared as a villain in one of the best gangster films, The Maltese Falcon. Also, his dynamic with Peter Lorre in a handful of films reminds me so much of the sewretch/sentinel duopoly.

Now that you've mentioned it...if only sewretch had that chiseled look, he could be in gangsta movies, as the demolition man.:D

Had a 2 hour run on Saturday (6 am). Nice and cool, as opposed to the evening heat which is around 40C/100F.

However, the moment i finished my run, i found i could not raise my right shoulder. The pain was sharp and severe. I think it's the same spot i injured many years back while playing tennis. I think I iced it that night or the next night and the icing helped. Otherwise i was holding my arm and moving it about with the left arm.

Scary, because during the last few short runs, I've been dropping my right hand since the shoulder was "tiring". And that usually should not happen for short runs.

I had hoped to reach about 2.5 or almost 3 hours by this time, but i am stuck at 2:00. And the last 30 mins or so are really tough. So i am thinking of not doing more than 80 or 90 minutes now. Such a shame, i can barely do a half marathon :( My legs were fine, though, during and after the run, no fatigue, but the body was sort of drained in the last 30 mins.
Perhaps you need less gym or run and more tai chi or yoga.

I was with you and relishing your talk of Greenstreet and Lorre ... till the final part. That was a below-the-belt hit, Tom, very bad ... very bad indeed !!! It's more like a Sewretch/BB duet here.
