PT113B (these twins) are identical mold to iRadical/TiRadical and LMRadical MP (no ridges). The layup is different and softer.
Just like the retail stocks, they are 95 sq in.

thanks for a reply.

for some reasons it looks bigger and rounder. what years of retail radicals we're talking about?
i think radical's head rounder and bigger since ~6 year ago. I think it was like prestige, say, 10+ years ago....

Post some pics with cap grommets.

I'm thinking leather grip and lead in the hoop at the moment.

Novak used to play with the LM Radical MP Tour. I've had a chance to hit with his old LM Radical and it felt stiffer than the PT113B. I also owned an H22 (nBlade PJ) from his batch and that felt really soft, softer than the PT113B.
The PT113B is a twin tube construction (like LM Radical) but the layup is very different from the others mentioned. There is more weight in the head and throat, therefore, the starting SW is high. My rackets are 335g strung, but the SW is 345 (balance is 32.5cm). Novak's racket is SW of 370, but it swings nicely. My arm got tired after about 20-30 minutes of swinging his racket and I started mistiming my shots. The racket is extremely stable.
The flex is 61 (strung), however, as compared to YT Prestige MP (strung flex is very close), the PT113B feels at least 4-5 points lower flex. It flexes different.

As for the head shape, I believe it is the angle of those shots and the paintjob that makes it look rounder or bigger. It is, indeed, the same shape and string pattern as LM Radical or TiRadical or iRadical or MG Radical... I use the MG Radical grommets on them.

Would you mind sharing your setup, just for the sake curiosity? My ti rads have about 3.5g at each 3 and 9 and babolat leather and an OG and come in at 340g.

Since it is a pro stock, it would be hard to compare. My setup is 335g strung with Tour bite Soft (50/48 lbs), synthetic grip (Karakal) and two overgrips. No dampener.
I have silicone in the handle (bottom 2-3 inches of the handle). Lead at 12 (double lead tape layers about 6 inches long, so 6g), additional 4g of lead from 3/9 o'clock down to 5/7 o'clock.
So, I have about 10g of lead in the hoop and probably 8-10g of silicone in the handle.

I just picked up a few Ti. Radical MP's on the cheap. My current racquets are Yonex Vcore 330 and have traditionally played Six.One 95 18x20's in all different models. I am curious as to where the best place to add weight is on these Ti's and how much to add. Any help would be appreciated.

I think the best way is to do it by feel. But if you want a great starting point. I put 1/4 in lead, on both sides of the grommets, the entire length of the bumperguard (10 all the way to 2). Leather grip, and some weight in the handle to get the balance where I wanted it. I ended up adding capped grommets just because I had a set, but I think it would be fine without them...at least to start :)

Enjoy the frames!!
It's about the journey....not the destination!! :)

Got my reissue MG Radical OS and I was disappointed with the performance. Granted I only had a couple of hours of play time, went straight to doubles games, but not what I expected. The factory strings were tight but this thing is a rocket launcher.

Forehands were extremely powerful, either it was the fences or a few inches from the baseline no in between. The serves I think is where I found some nice power and control. Backhands totally did not work and slices were either on point or floated up and really long. Volleys were powerful, couldn't place the ball where I wanted to, it trampolines off the string bed. Also the stability is suspect on the volley and I was basically praying my smashes went where they were supposed to.

Also I was expecting a sort of soft mushy, pocketing feeling but the feeling I got from the racket was metallic and sort of stiff or dry, very similar to Aerogel 300. The string bed as large as it was, was not predictable. Is it the head control strings, should I try something different? Coming from the LM radical mp and 4D 300 tour, I figured I'd get a similar feel with larger sweet spot and a slight increase in power, but no, this is a totally different animal.

I would definitely restring with your regular string setup. You will notice a big difference. The LM Rad is a great frame. This is a big departure from that, but still can be a great racquet. Once you find string/tension, you will be able to unlock its magic. I take great pride in the fact I can make any racquet playable. I think of it as a challenge, and enjoy the process of finding what works for me.
Good luck and enjoy the ride!!

yeah man you gotta restring those MG rad reissues. theyre all gonna have some loose sonic pro in there that plays like a sloppy trampoline.

So you went with caps on both i rads. Must play super-solid with that set up.

I did. I only played with the standard grommet for a couple sets before putting the caps on. The balance didn't change much and feels pretty good and is fairly solid. Need to test it out some more with a hard hitting opp to see how it is. currently strung up with Prince Prem Attack/Control. The other is with a Tier One poly, Tour Status.

I'd like to be added to your esteemed club. I just dumped my 3 very comfortable, yet wet-noodle-like Prince Tour 100 18x20's for 2 Graphene Radical Pro's. Very impressed so far. I'm still trying to get my set up right. I currently have them at 50 lbs. with Volkl Cyclone 18g. They're a little harsh with a full bed of poly, but power and control is HUGE. I'm going to restring them with some Gosen micro 17g at 50lbs and see if that loosens them up a little. Anyone out there have recommendations for a softer set up... please reply!
Thanks.

synthetic gut helps a lot in the comfort department. it does give up some control, though, as you get a more trampoline-y response.

I strung up one with poly after using a full bed of sg. i noticed the nice pocketing and action on the ball but it did a feel a bit harsh. I was at 45#s too. With the SG, I didn't feel I lost any control Just some spin on ground strokes and kicker. (i.radical 18x20)

not sure bout the i.radical ... that graphene rad pro is a beast of a racquet though. it's just a conundrum bc it's so hard on the joints w/ poly. its ok with syn gut, just a little less forgiving on hitting inside the lines.

I think the RA on the iRad is 64. I've only played for a short time with these. Need to dial in strings or so...but SG is working nicely with it.

Hi, I am using Cyclone 17g (46/43lbs) on my IG Radical Pro. Feels really good.

You might want to go lower tension, and see if it works for you...

Hi guys,

I am using IG Radical Pro. Have not tried other Radical series such as Graphene XT, Graphene, or even the older Microgel series, that are currently (still) available in TW. Just wondering if it is worth exploring? Is that anything that is close to IG Radical Pro? Any thoughts would be great...

Thanks.

The new radicals are very stiff. Nothing like the IG Radical.

Added about 25 grams in the handle and plays like a dream! I am super excited. This thing feels better than anything I have tried in the past 5 years.

Yesterday I played with a hybrid setup of volkl vtwist in mains with cyclone in the crosses. Both at 17g at 48 lbs. I felt the cyclone made the bed feel brassy and unforgiving. I picked up my other Rad with syn gut at the same tension and I got the softness and feel back I lost with the hybrid. I'm going to cut out the cyclone and add in a gut cross to see what that does. I'll be back with my review next week.

My favorite radical is the first generation Rad Trisys MP

How do you compare the originals with the later Radicals?
I like most Ridicals I have played with.. with the exception of the Flexpoint.. Like Microgel, Like the Graphene, Favorites are the Liquidmetal and i.Radical.. All MPs.
The i.Radical I had (Disappeared mysteriously from my tennis bag) played has the blend of typical Radical and classic stick feel..

From left to right: 1 bumblebee, 2 zebra's, 3 LMs, 1 Ti, all made in Austria. Don't say I need to weed my garden. Cameo from our stone pig.

How does each of these models play? ... specially the Bumblebee and the Zebras?... compared to the LMs?

Are you referring to the MP versions of these racquets? Depending on the iteration, the MP and OS could play quite differently. The Bumblebee rads played like a tech-free graphite racquet in both MP and OS. Not mushy but not stiff either. the MP played just like the OS but with a smaller sweetspot. SW was high but not unmanageable for most players. The MP played stiffer than the PT 280 and frankly, was only above average. The PT 280 was really a better racquet. Similar power, larger sweetspot yet more comfortable.
The zebras were in fact even heavier. I didn't like them. Fairly numb feel but the weight just crushed balls, with either the OS or MP. The best radical of the heavy "early" radicals were probably the 98 radical. Lower swingweight, improved feel and great stability.
The radical started getting light with the Ti Radical. In OS form, the Ti has the best feel. Old school classic feel in the lighter frame. The Irad was ok. A bit metallic about the feel. I used the OS bumblebee for a long time, went to the PT 280, went to a one-hander and have been using MP frames for the last 15 years. This year I found out I have a partially torn ACL, meniscus and am going through physical therapy. Just can't run around like a jack-rabbit anymore. So how have I adjusted? - I have 3 Ti Rad OS now and will go back to being an aggressive baseliner and the 2-handed backhand.

Joined the club, with two Ti.Rads and one i.Rad MP.
Later I noticed that first Ti.Rad changed head shape after stringing - it's about 5 mm shorter, and tension was just 22/22 kg. Second one is still unstrung.
Any ideas why this happened? Is it something known/common for Ti.Radical?

How about Blx blade with lead tape 2-10 and leather grip vs Ti Radical MP?? I played Microgel Radical MP customized with lead tape and leather grip but was so soft and no power at all compared with BLX...I was wondering about the feeling of the Ti.Radical MP???
