Was hoping Dundallk would get United. Would have been cool to go see United play in Dublin. Sell out 50,000 in no time. Dundalk's normal stadium holds 3000.

And we have the Europa League draw completed.

Group A: Manchester United, Fenerbahce, Feyenoord, Zorya Luhansk
Group B: Olympiakos, APOEL, Young Boys, Astana
Group C: Anderlecht, Saint-Etienne, Mainz 05, Gabala
Group D: Zenit St Petersburg, AZ Alkmaar, Maccabi Tel Aviv, Dundalk
Group E: Viktoria Plzen, Roma, Austria Wien, Astra Giurgiu
Group F: Athletic Bilbao, Genk, Rapid Wien, Sassuolo
Group G: Ajax, Standard Liege, Celta Vigo, Panathinaikos
Group H: Shakhtar Donetsk, Braga, Gent, Konyaspor
Group I: Schalke 04, Red Bull Salzburg, Krasnodar, Nice
Group J: Fiorentina, PAOK, Slovan Liberec, Qarabag
Group K: Internazionale, Sparta Prague, Southampton, Hapoel Be'er Sheva
Group L: Villarreal, Steaua Bucuresti, Zürich, Osmanlispor

Eight 3rd placed teams from the CL groups will be joining the top two teams from these groups in the knockout stages. The main question is will Sevilla be one of them. :)

Man United got some ok opponents that might warm them up and test them nicely.

Yep that was odd. I think that Euro results boosted all the three candidates, plus they all played a Champions League final.

Pity he wasn't available for Uruguay in the Copa America this year. He only has himself to blame for the biting incident though.

Think that ban had finished, believe he was just injured. So not to blame this time.

Mourinho would make himself look like a complete hypocrite if he did anything other than play the reserves considering the way he's spoken about it before and I do doubt he's going to take it very seriously.

Can't believe you still can't bet on Sevilla to win the Europa League. Just won't be able to resist coming third and going and winning it. Quite a thirdable group as well I think if they don't do great, plus the allure of the Europa League will probably be too great. Maybe next time they'll request not to have the Champions League place so they can keep winning their pet competition. Don't want to risk qualifying. Wish they'd done this last time, just gave the Champs League place to the last one. Ah well.

Either way it'll probably be won by someone coming third in their Champions League group, does seem to happen more often than not these days.

Well if he wants United to challenge for the title he really should mix things up in the Thursday Europa League matches, his stars will need to be fresh.

Though I am happy with them doing so well in the previous 3 seasons, Sevilla's run has to end at some point. They were also well pushed at least once in all of those seasons. In 2013-14 they needed a penalty shootout to beat Betis, one of the biggest injury time away goals ever in the competition to knock out Valencia and another penalty shootout to beat Benfica in the final. Think Juve would have defeated them easily especially considering that final was at their ground. In 2014-15 they had a tough one against Zenit, in 2015-16 they needed penalties at home to beat Bilbao. It's not total domination of the opposition and next time someone pushes them hard, and there are some quality teams in this Europa League, I think they won't manage to come through yet again. We'll see.

Yes you are right. He missed 2015 Copa through suspension, but 2016 absence was because he got injured in the last game of Barca's 2015-16 season, the cup final.

Crazy start for Ancelotti and Bayern in the Bundesliga. 6-0 win at home over Werder Bremen.

Alonso, Lahm and Ribery scored one goal each, while Lewandowski scored a hat trick. That's the 2nd hat trick already for him this season, he now has 6 goals in 3 games.

I don't think it is much because of Bremen. Bayern seem direct again like they were with Heynckes 4 years ago. I know it's only been three games, but I wouldn't be surprised one bit if Bayern win the treble.

Here are some of the records that can be achieved this season.

Cristiano Ronaldo (364) can reach the 400 goal mark for Real Madrid in 2016-17.

Manchester United can become the first Premier League club to score 2000 points in the history of the Premier League. They're 42 points off the total.

Paris Saint-Germain could break the 100-point barrier for the first time in 2016-17 having finished on 96 points last season.

Juventus can become the first club in Serie A history to win six consecutive league titles.

Gianluigi Buffon (590) can reach the 600 appearance mark in Serie A. Only Paolo Maldini (647), Javier Zanetti (615), Francesco Totti (601) and Gianluigi Pagliuca (592) have turned out more times than him so far.

Both Lionel Messi (22) and Cristiano Ronaldo (26) could surpass Ryan Giggs' record (30) of assists in the Champions League.

If Manchester United win the Premier League, Zlatan Ibrahimovic will finish top of the league table for the 14th time in 16 years – a total unsurpassed at the top level in recent memory. England would be the fifth country that he's won a league title in after the Netherlands, Italy, Spain and France.

Edinson Cavani (81) could become only the fourth player to reach the 100-goal mark for PSG.

Bayern Munich coach Carlo Ancelotti is bidding to become the first coach to win the Champions League four times.

On October 1, Arsene Wenger will become only the second coach to reach the 20-year coaching milestone in English football since the Premier League era began in 1992.

Lionel Messi (456) could become the first Barcelona player to score 500 goals for the club in competitive matches.

Real Madrid (6) share the record for consecutive Champions League semi-finals with Barcelona but can go outright top if they reach that stage again.

Wayne Rooney (246) is just three goals away from equalling Manchester United's all-time goal record currently held by club legend Sir Bobby Charlton (249).

Francesco Totti (248) can reach the 250-goal mark in Serie A. Only Silvio Piola (274) has scored more times in the Italian top flight.

Philipp Lahm (481) can reach the 500 appearance mark for Bayern Munich.

Cristiano Ronaldo (93) can become the first player to score 100 Champions League/European Cup goals.

Everton midfielder Gareth Barry (597) would surpass Ryan Giggs (632) in the Premier League's all-time appearance ranking if he plays every game this season.

Didn't they finish like 6th or 7th last season? I don't think they can drop that low and get relegated.

Well, Leicester went from relegation battle and 15th spot to being #1 in England in only one year. Everything is possible in the English Premier League. ;)

Let's go Franceso.

Wayne Rooney will have the United goal record soon.

Ronaldo should have 100 in champions league.

Yeah, a lot of records going down.

I hope Mkhitaryan is starting today. Yes, write that Jose hates Mata and wants him to leave, but come on, play Henrikh.

The game is on BT sports and I hope Paul Scholes is there. And I hope he is electrified by the performance. :p

Milner a left back? Is this some sort of an experiment or are the regular ones injured?

Did he commentate anything about this season's matches so far?

I haven't heard anything from him so far. Always seemed to be like he was more anti LVG. We've only started, but you can see the team playing real football again. Hard to see Paul Scholes being too negative today if we keep this up. haha Don't want to get too ahead of myself, though. Hull could be tricky.

Great save from the Spurs keeper.

He was pretty much anti everything about the club last season. Can't blame him, he is used to seeing something totally different than that. Someone said after we lost one game (think it was to Liverpool in the Europa League) that Scholes showed more passion in those 2-3 minutes that he talked about the club's problems than the players have shown all season on the pitch.

He did call Pogba overpriced recently but other than that, I don't remember anything else. I would love to hear him today too.

It's a 1-1 draw between Tottenham and Liverpool. Spurs got their first goal against Liverpool at White Hart Lane since 2012 when Bale scored.

Loved some of the end to end stuff in the end, it could have gone either way, draw a fair result IMO.

Looks like Mane is a bit shy when I am watching him, nothing big from him today. :D

So that's Liverpool, Arsenal, Leicester and Tottenham all with an average/poor start. Manchester clubs and Chelsea can create a gap of more than three points between those clubs and themselves early in the season.

In majority of other leagues, that gap would already be a big deal.

****ing robbed,,, Lallana was onside and that shirt pull on Matip should have been a penalty, ref had a shocker. Don't think it's a fair result anyway,, absolutely battered them for 70 minutes,,that disallowed goal changed everything. Disappointing coz we were the much better side but overall a draw away to spurs is by no means a bad result.

@Emperor of Belgrade ,, mane was pretty good, yet again one of our best players on the day,bit rash at times though.
No one was particularly bad today I thought, although Coutinho should have done better with his chances in the first half.

So yeh, pretty good performance and whilst we should have won, there are plenty of positives to take forward.

Oh and Rose is a ****ing twat of the highest order.

Why is Rose a twat? Because he scored? :D;)

From what I have seen, Alli is the guy who is really asking for trouble.

Any other team and I'd be annoyed. Only Hull are allowed to play ultra defensive IMO due to their circumstances. How can the commentators say Hull deserve a point? They have basically done nothing but camp in their half. They make the Italian teams look like the most offensive teams in the world.

No, because he was trying to wind Mane up and get him sent off. Mourinho tactics.

They bombarded Hull for the entire match and scored a nice goal in the 2nd added minute. Justice won (yeah hard for you to believe that United are representing justice :p).

Winning 3 points against a team who parks the bus is one extremely good feeling, I know that very well. I guess many United fans are going wild.

Mourinho putting a youngster in and him winning the game sounds so hard to believe!
