Keeps you hungry, no?

Yes and no! If the rumours are true, it looks like we'll of purchased a failed Bolton left back for £25 Million and David Luiz will of returned

Two weeks to see how that turns out whilst England are playing Slovakia? Not so much fun :p

We're just fortunate we got hold of Rijkaard Barcelona when we won in 2008. :p

Somebody trolled me last night, almost had me convinced that Jack Wilshere was joining the Glens. lol

Joe Hart joins Torino on a season loan.

Yes and chickens will start flying

Doubt my hope is as ridiculous as chickens flying.

hahah All I was seeing on my facebook page was people complaining about him. 2 minutes into the matches, ''where are their balls?'' And a lot of other stuff. Had to unfollow a few on my friend list because I was bored getting these angry Glentoran updates.

Looking like David Luiz back to Chelsea could actually happen, crazy stuff.

I'll always remember him and Cahill playing 120 minutes in Munich, on one leg each. It was a heroic effort from him, plus his on field personality is like what Conte displays on the touchline. So it makes sense.

Fingers crossed we can get it done in time.

United are still linked with Fabinho, but I wouldn't expect it. That was priority number one for King Jose. Have all the transfer done, not being in a catch up position, not feeling the Moyes with David or LVG. Special indeed.

Wilshere on loan to Bournemouth.

If it wasn't for that beautiful goal against Norwich, I would have probably had to look up who the guy is. :D That's how much he has disappeared.

Loaned to Bournemouth. How embarrassing for the next Hoodle, Gascoigne, Robson, etc, etc. The next reject on the breadline more like. :p

Ross Barkley to buck his ideas up or he will be the next Jack Wilshere.

From Arsenal to Bournemouth?

Getting loaned isn't really the embarrassing part. it is not what I would have expected at this stage of his career. Just with all the hype he used to get. You know what they say, don't believe the hype. You can only blame injury problems for so long.

I could be wrong and he could be starting for England soon enough. He might rebuild himself here.

Leicester City have spent a club record 30 million on bringing the Algerian striker Islam Slimani from Sporting Clube de Portugal.

That's a big goalscoring source that the Portuguese giants sold. 27 goals in 33 league appearances last season.

Emotional scenes.

I turned my ps4 on for the first time in months. I'm downloading the PES17 demo. Trying to play a football game at my post prime stage and with a ps4 controller. I'm sure I will have to take a few beatings before I get a win. Starting at the hardest level is the only way to play. Hopefully I can do United vs Barca.

Excite.

Sissoko snubs Everton and moves to Spurs. @TheMuzziah will love that.

We'll miss Super Sli.:( I've never seen a player "growing" so much in so little time. He isn't the most technically evolved player, but he's relentless. I wish him the best and I hope Leicester fans will embrace him with the same passion we did.

Having said that, we have Bas Dost, Castaignos, André and Joel Campbell in our team now. I think we'll be ok. :p

(Kudos for using our real name, by the way)

He's young enough to rebuild his career. Not like he's Balotellied it or anything. Think it could be an amazing signing for Bournemouth potentially. Some of the hype was probably excessive (isn't it always?) but I still expect him to have a good career as a top player.

I don't follow Primeira Liga much, but I saw him score in his last match when you played Porto. He looked quite emotional. Looks like he really enjoyed his time as well.

Dost? That guy scored a lot of goals for Wolfsburg, good addition you got there.

Well you corrected me recently. ;) Sporting CP is also fine I assume?

Yes, I remember that... But most people end up making the same mistake again and you didn't. So you deserve kudos for that.
Sporting CP is perfectly fine.

We like all of our players, but some of them are a little more special on our eyes, like the players who developed at our academy in Alcochete (Rui Patrício, William Carvalho and so on) or players like Sli, who showed true grit and professionalism all the time. Besides that, he's a cool guy, well liked by everyone at the club.

Yeah, I don't quite believe it yet. But it is, without a doubt, one of our best recent signings.

Had one match. 1-1 vs Arsenal. Neymar for me in the first half, then Busquets got sent off and I could feel the heat. Have to relax on those slide tackles. Arsenal scored and I was lucky to hang on at the end. Mascherano got a man of the match 7. woohoo.

Yeah, still only 24. I was thinking he was 26 for some reason. You never know, he could end up being one of the players of the season, if things go well for him. We'll see.

haha classic Everton that, they are raging. Apparently everything was agreed, private jet sorted to take him to Liverpool and he didn't turn up. Lol. Kept refusing Koemans calls as well.

You can always rely on Everton to give you a good laugh. :D :p

GOAT laugh Klopp it has to be said. It's infectious.

Probably would've been a better move to Everton though to be fair. He's not good enough to get into Spurs Midfield on a regular basis. Surprised that they've gone in for him. A Good Euro 2016 does not make him an amazing player.

Is it too late to predict United walking the league?

That's my prediction also. I think Mourinho could probably of beat Leicester with last years squad, throw in the new signings? There's every chance.

I'm more confident of Chelsea making the top 4 now Luiz is back, he changes the whole dynamic of the side. His personality fits with Conte, has quality on the ball, allows us to play 3 at the back like the manager has wanted etc.. Just a shame we couldn't of got the deal done earlier in the summer.

Have you forgotten that Luiz doesn't defend?

Luiz is actually pretty good, he's just prone to having lapses in concentration and moments where he does some strange things. Those really stand out and get highlighted, which is understandable.

He has pace, is strong in the air and is great with the ball at his feet though. In a defence that has been bad anyway over the last 18 months? That's a definite upgrade. Especially if 3 at the back works out, he can make up for Terry and Cahill being slow, their positioning can cover up for his mental lapses.

Him being there can improve the whole defensive unit, if it's handled right. Conte seems like a manager who can make it work, I just wish he had pre season to do it and not 3 games into the season.

It's been a huge transfer window for the Premier League. The clubs have spent an incredible total of 1.165.000.000 pounds this summer. It's the first time that 1 billion mark was crossed. Also, 13 clubs have broken their personal record (referring here to spending on one player, not the entire spending in one transfer window).

Top 10 transfers:

Paul Pogba to Manchester United from Juventus - 89m
John Stones to Manchester City from Everton - 47,5m
Leroy Sane to Manchester City from Schalke - 37m
Shkodran Mustafi to Arsenal from Valencia - 35m
David Luiz to Chelsea from Paris Saint-Germain - 34m
Sadio Mane to Liverpool from Southampton - 34m
Granit Xhaka to Arsenal from Borussia Monchengladbach - 33,8m
Michy Batshuayi to Chelsea from Marseille - 33m
Mousa Sissoko to Tottenham from Newcastle - 30m
N'Golo Kante to Chelsea from Leicester - 30m

Manchester clubs spent the most, over 150m each.

Very odd, because Real Madrid also won't be able to purchase anyone from this point until 2018.

La Masia is starting to die.
Their squad is complete. An upgraded version of Morata is now back so they have another great source for goals.

It's a pity we couldn't keep up with the recent standard but I am sure the academy will continue to produce new world class players.
