Hi everyone, what are your thoughts on the juice pro? I have a chance to pick a brand new one up at a very good price, but I'm not sure about the extrnded length. Thanks,

Oh yeah about the racquet ........ plays firm but quite comfortable being foam filled. Quite a tight 16x20 pattern gives good control but its powerful so sometimes its hard to get enough spin to get the ball down..... has the same mold and string pattern as my old K pro tours but they were much less powerful so you could swing out more and generate more spin. If you string in the 40's with a thinner poly its better. And best of all it comes with free chunk of metal in the handle.......

Thanks for the info, do you think a gut poly hybrid could work in this racket? I usually string my RF97 with Wilson gut @60lbs and Luxilon big banger original rough @58lbs

Hefty stick to bring around, huge power potential.
I'd say no, full poly with this frame surely.

My favourite poly strings are pro red code wax, big banger original, and RPM blast. Any thoughts on which would work best for flat shots hit with some topspin?

Yep, if you can handle the 336 swing /341 static weight , small racquet width and spin window, but nice power and sweet spot. So this puppy requires some skillz.
It is only 1/4 of an inch...I would not bother......but that is just me....
If you opt for a the surgery, do your homework or search for a local good(usrsa) stringer that does customization.
It will certainly effect its playability...

I don't think I'll chop off anything, I'm just not sure if it's going to be easy to adjust to the length or not.

I agree that the K Pro Tour was a better frame with the same mould. You could really go after the ball. The juice pro is a little over-powered for me. I really like the feel and paintjob of the juice though. Isn't the most maneuverable frame, but pretty stable
I use this racquet quite often this year. The extra length almost does not affect tofeel. The weight is quite light for me, usually i play 360 plus gramm racquets.
The racquet is very powerfull, did many aces and winners with it. But you have to control this power. In general the racquet is great, but a little light for me and maybe too powefull. Actually i can play quite well with it, but if somebody ask me i prefer classy feelings of PS 6.1 Classic.

what is the beam width on the j pro, i forget...is it a thick beam?

How would you compare the Juice to the RF97? I know you were on the play test of the new RF (your review was awesome by the way!) and the RF is my racquet of choice. I don't plan on switching frame anytime soon, but I just love collecting different racquets.

Thanks for the positive feedback, I appreciate it. The Juice Pro 96 is a much more whippy and modern frame than the RF97. I find that the Juice 96 provides some added spin on groundstrokes, serves, and slice backhands. The RF97 is much more stable and heavier. Also, remember the Juice Pro is an extended length (27.25) frame. Should help a bit on serve and might hurt you a bit on groundstrokes. Nothing you can't get used to.
I think something they both do very well is plow through the ball. They both own over 330 swingweights which allow you to feel the compression of each ball you strike. Really wins that battle between frame and ball. The balance is reltively similar, but I suggest you add some wight to your new Juice Pro to get it in your ideal spec range. It's already 337-345grams, but I would bring it closer to the 350-360 range to make it feel more similar to your RF.

Thanks for the great comparison! I'll be adding a leather grip and a few grams of lead the the handle, and possibly a few grams at 3 and 9 depending on the weight of the racquet. I do find that Wilson quality control can be a bit sketchy at times.
I do really love the plow through of the RF97, and the stability on volleys. Hopefully the juice pro will be a fun racquet too.
Somewhat agree with mike841, of the Wilson Rackets, this one did get my attention. I remember, just loaded with Spin and Power, and decent Control.
Im SixOne95 to RF97 to Speed Pro to PAT User (So coming off Classic Style Rackets and more to Modern Rackets each time, and this Juice always felt like a Nice blend between the Classic and Modern racket style. My Vote, get it....Note it does have a High SwingWeight, so if you get it moving...voola, its a Machine !
