A rather interesting story in Romania to add to the more famous leagues,

A row has erupted in Romania over the decision to crown Viitorul champions of Liga 1.
A 1-0 win over CFR Cluj secured a momentous title win for the club, which was founded in 2009 by Romania great Gheorghe Hagi.

FCSB, formerly Steaua Bucharest, defeated CS Universitatea Craiova 3-0 to ensure that they finished on 44 points, level with Viitorul.
They missed out on the title by virtue of their inferior head-to-head record during the play-off phase of the league, with Romanian football's governing body confirming the decision via their official website.

However, FCSB owner Gigi Becali has vowed to appeal to CAS, insisting that their better record during the league's first phase means the title is rightfully theirs.
"We're first, the four games [between the clubs] were in our favour," Becali said to Digi Sport.
"We're the champions, 100 per cent. We will go to CAS in Lausanne and they will give us the trophy."
But Hagi, who created Viitorul after an acrimonious departure from Steaua, says the club "don't know how to lose".

"I'm proud, happy, because this academy and this great team, these children, have fought with their last ounce of energy and achieved the impossible!" said Hagi, whose side is largely composed of academy players.
"Even though we know some are upset, we are happy. The big must behave like big men. They must know how to lose.
"We're the youngest champions in Europe. Now this city has entered the history of Romanian football. I've been investing in young people and that's one of my greatest qualities. I'm happy now that I did the right thing."

Viitorul's win came courtesy of a penalty from Gabriel Iancu, another former Steaua player, and capped what has been a remarkable rise in the last eight years.
Should their title triumph be ratified, they will enter the third qualifying round of the 2017-18 Champions League.

Bit of an update for several leagues.

Final home game of the season for Real Madrid tonight, and it's against always difficult Sevilla. This one probably decides who is winning La Liga. It's now or never!

Juventus visiting Roma tonight and they could mathematically seal a 6th consecutive Scudetto, which would be a new Serie A record.

If Monaco win tonight they will need just one more point from the next two games to end PSG's 4 year reign and win their first Ligue 1 since 2000.

Feyenoord have won their first Eredivisie since 1999. Kuyt's hat-trick won them the last game today. Ajax can now concentrate on the EL final.

Benfica are champions of Portugal for the 4th season in a row. It's their 36th Primeira title.

With Liverpool hammering the Hammers, the top 4 looks done to me. My guess is the Reds will be in the playoffs. Manchester United have a lifeline in Stockholm while Arsenal will miss out on Champions League for the first time under Wenger's long reign.

Wrong place to ask, but this place is full of heartless. I might get lucky.

I'm one of the unfortunate people using a POS called windows 8.1. My paste button is grayed out everywhere. Copy and paste aren't working on any program. Also, error messages for other programs I click on. As we all know, copy and paste is vital to a tro, to a poster like me. Lose my identity if I can't post images. :p

Yes, I've looked online at various 'help' videos.

Yeah, I realize this is not a windows 8.1 help forum. Best help would have been never getting it at all. Aww well, if only I could see into the future.

Anyway, I see City are linked with Donnarumma. Looks like they do know that they need a keeper. :p I'm familiar with him from my Footy exploits. 'Next Buffon' is obviously a lot of pressure.

Chelsea looked like they were getting him for a while last summer, think they wanted £60+million though. He's entering the latter stages of a contract now though so the price could be a lot less.

It'll be interesting to keep an eye on the keeper situation in general this summer. Madrid wanting De Gea or Courtois so one side could need to find a replacement. What's happening with Buffon. Oblak and Lloris have been talked about as replacements, City are in the market for one etc..

Whoever signs him is getting a keeper for the next 15-20 years if all goes well. Even at 60 millions that doesn't seem that much for a top keeper for maybe 20 years. Probably the best thing from his point of view would be to stay at Milan for a few more years, further establish himself, no point adding a huge price tag on top of all the other pressure and expectation on him.

Having said that, I wouldn't complain if Liverpool were to sign him.

Also signed him on Footy Manager and he was amazing.

Certainly is a lot of pressure but to be starting for a club like AC Milan at 17 as a goalkeeper no less, is quite a bit of pressure to. To be doing that and doing so well already certainly suggests he must be made of some strong stuff.

I have windows 8.1 but I've never had that I'm afraid, can't be much help. Could it be a virus or something?

haha I reckon everybody signs him. Well, not everybody, but he is the keeper to go for at the start. Having managed Milan, he along with Romagnoli are using the club as a stepping stone so you really need to win something quick to get them to get them to sign new contracts. It was beyond comical with Romagnoli. Let me join Barca, let me join United. But screw that, I#m never letting my best players leave unless I absolutely have to. He did end up settling about 5 successful seasons worth later.

I was looking to get Donnarumma again on a United game I was playing, but PSG swooped in first. Best thing about it was, the next season they came in with a 50+ bid for DDG. Yeah, that was pretty weird.

Managed to solve the problem with windows 8.1. Cheers. No virus. If you ever have a problem with windows 8.1 - ''reimage'' does actually work. Of course, I guess it depends on the problem. I had to spend some pennies, but I was told by somebody I trust that it is definitely not a virus/scam, so I loaded the program and it worked its magic. I reloaded windows after it all and everything worked again. The windows button on the keyboard even brings up the apps and stuff again. I was expecting to load it up again and even less to be working.

Kane's four goals against Leicester got him very close to a second consecutive EPL golden boot. Would have preferred Sanchez to win the award but oh well, congrats to Harry.

Manchester United season awards just finished. Goal of the season goes to Henrikh Mkhitaryan for his scorpion kick against Sunderland. Axel Tuanzebe is the Reserve player of the year. Players' player of the year award went to Antonio Valencia, while Sir Matt Busby player of the year went to Ander Herrera. Ibra misses out sadly but two future captains definitely deserved it, consistently giving everything on the pitch for the club, well done. Another good thing is that the goalkeeper is no longer our best player. Herrera ended De Gea's three season winning streak.

Really nice WAGs btw. :D

Good job and all that. Really shows how lame United have been when Antonio Valencia wins an award. I guess playing out of your natural position gets you more props with your fellow players. Still, I wouldn't fancy him against the elite of Europe. Just hope we are playing against them next season.

I guess flop of the year is not awarded at this ceremony. :p

3 seasons later these two guys on the bench would be Premier League top two goalscorers, one of them winning two golden boots in a row and the other breaking Ruud's 10 game scoring streak.

You never know who will be the next star.

Bless him. He put out an Instagram saying he is ready for the final. I take it many took it literally because Instagram went into ''meltdown.''

Can't even hear what he is saying in this video. Remixed with music. :/

I was hoping he extended his contract for one more year. Oh well.

Are you any optimistic about the final?

I was thinking that myself when I first watched it. Had the volume down and all of a sudden I see Zlatan in the water with the United shirt on.

I'm in the cautiously optimistic stage once again. Probably like the Liverpool fans are today. I hope for an early goal etc. But this is United now and we could have a nervy game. Really haven't seen anything from Ajax apart from some of their goals. What about you?

I take it you have seen this. Triple H presents John Terry with a WWE title. haha It does crack me up. Can imagine next season and we are waiting to find out what JT is going to do.

I would like to announce that I have signed with WWE for their British invasion.

I only watched some of Ajax's Europa League highlights. Obviously a good side, got through a tougher draw than us to reach the final. Not optimistic. Zlatan, Bailly and Rojo are out while we have been wasteful all season. Failing to either score winners or kill games off. But as long as we win I'll be happy. Last missing major trophy and CL qualification on the line, it's too important for most of us to care about the manner in which the team hopefully wins.

Haha I thought it was interesting to hear him say on Monday that he hasn't ruled out retiring completely, so you never know! Maybe a change of sport is on the cards. Speaking of gifts and the like, did you see what David Luiz got the entire squad and management? He spent about £1 Million on these wrist keys for their cars, made of diamonds, billions of years old asteroids etc.. Crazy.

Congrats to Chelsea on winning the Premier League. Congrats to Tottenham for having the best attack and the best defense this season. Congrats to City and Liverpool for making it to the top 4. Hopefully we'll join them on Wednesday. Wonder if Arsene will stay after he missed out on CL for the first time. He still has the FA Cup final at least to concentrate on. Kane with a second consecutive EPL golden boot and now is only one goal away from 100 goals for Spurs.

Juventus win a record breaking 6th consecutive Serie A, with one more game to go. Now they can play the reserves in the final game to rest their stars for the CL final.

Philipp Lahm and Xabi Alonso retired yesterday. Great careers, guys. Aubameyang beat Lewandowski to the top goalscorer award in Bundesliga by one goal, well done Auba. Also congrats to Hamburger SV for still being the only German team to play in every top flight season. They beat Wolfsburg on the final day in a duel that would decide who will be safe and who will play relegation playoffs.

All eyes on Spain tonight. Real Madrid need just a point away to Malaga to be crowned La Liga champions for the first time since 2012. I don't even care if Juve smash you in the final, just please get this job done guys!

Some goals scored today. Harry Kane is smelling Shearer's record. That wasn't commentator hyperbole. That was from me. Spurs keep getting better. The title dream doesn't seem outlandish to think of. Well, at least until they lose their first 4 games next season or something.

If you've got it flaunt it. The way I am, I know I'd be doing something similar if I had that big money.

I play this wrestling manager game from time to time. John Terry will now be entered into the database. Not as an active performer. Authority figure. One of the British companies sign him up or maybe I will. :p

Yeah, it is all about the result. Getting back to the big league. Don't care if the win is achieved in the dullest match possible. I hope I don't have to take a penalty shootout.

Looks like I'm a little more confident than you. Wasteful, wasteful, wasteful, but that doesn't mean we can't score 4 in the final. This is the match to do it.

As a neutral I'd like to see someone else manage Arsenal and try to take the club's on pitch performances a notch or two higher. For that reason I hope Chelsea thrash them in the FA Cup final even then I'm not sure the Arsenal board would feel forced to take decisive action. 5-0 to Chelsea should do it.

If Gervonta Davis fought Frampton right now (so Frampton would move up I suppose) who would win?

I don't know. I'm not so keen on Frampton moving up. Davis isn't that tall which helps, as we saw how LSC used the physical advantages in the rematch. I just don't like Frampton at that weight. But yeah maybe GD would be too green.

What say you?

I think Davis would beat him already. He has a much longer reach despite his height (69 inch) and he's a strong bull at his weight. He is green but he'd be bigger, stronger and more powerful, and he's already very skilled. I'd give Frampton a live chance however and would expect a really good fight. I'm pretty impressed with Davis, though like Frampton I don't think he'll be well suited to jumping many weight classes. Look at Mayweather compared to Davis (just a taller and bigger guy), and he was fighting in the same division in his early pro years. Gervonta reminds me of a mix of Mayweather and Mosley.

Yeah, although maybe some proper random drug testing could negate some advantages (Still a mismatch physically regardless). I personally think any fight Frampton is involved in at 126+ is always going to be very tough for him due to his height (and reach). There is talk of Corrales at 130. Also did you catch this? http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b08r6txf/fight-game-the-mcguigans-series-1-episode-1

What do you make of Josh Taylor O'Hara Davies? Taylor looks a real prospect.

Brook Spence this week too, boxing in a good place.

Neither are on my radar.

This show looks interesting - will take a look.

Frampton would smoke him and the Walsh family all at once.

And also Lomachenko, all in the ring at the same time.

Good stuff. Liverpool is a miracle pretty much, I was looking at one of those net spending graphs.

This is quite a statistic.

There was only six hat-tricks in the Premier League this season and Kane scored four of them. In fact, the 23-year-old has scored five hat-tricks in the last 26 months while Spurs as a club have managed six in the last 25 years.

Only four strikers have scored more top-flight hat-tricks than the Spurs No.10; Michael Owen (8), Thierry Henry (8), Robbie Fowler (9) and, the Premier League's all-time leading goalscorer, Alan Shearer (11)

Indeed, if only January hadn't happened and it could've been even better.

Very impressive, truly a goal machine. Still think I'd put him behind Aguero and Costa in the best strikers in the League on their day. Think Lukaku could become better because I think he can improve a lot, it's hard to see what Kane could improve on. Goal record is unreal though, could take Shearer's record.

Chelsea holding some nice EPL single season records. Most wins, most goals scored, least goals conceded, most points... Very impressive.

Two European giants in the Europa League final which is in two days, it's going to be a good story either way. Still can't pick who to cheer for.

@Tiki-Taka @Noleberic123 your thoughts on 2016-17 La Liga season? ;)
I thought you wouldn't poke me, looks like I misjudged you. ;)

There were better days. Congratulations on winning La Liga, this time your team were clearly better over the season.
