I heavily depend on spin, slice, topspin, and everything inbetween. which would better suit me? i use a ps tour 90, but looking for an upgrade, i LIKE the weight distribution of it, and how it plays and swings.

thanks

If you like the weight distribution of the ps90, then based on what i hear of the k90 the ncode would be better as its weight distribution is similar if not the same as that of the ps 90.

P.S. The weight distribution of the k90 is supposedly more like that of the prostaff original

I think you should have added none of the above too.

maybe, but i dont think so.

What is your level?

4.0-4.5. ive been playing since i was 14, so a year and a half. I have ambitions to become a pro (i've been told by coaches i have the talent), but i obviously have a late start, so im just going for it, see what happends.. I did take lessons when i was 6 for a month, then played maybe 4 or 5 times for the next 8 years.

so ya, i guess many people may belive im not good enough for a 90 in frame (who knows, maybe im not), but ive tried an rds 001 mp, redondo mp, a couple of OS head frames, and then one that suits my game the most so far is the ps tour 90. i actually found it randomly at my club in a bin of unwanted/broken racket, some bigger adult had left it a couple of years back, it had scratches and the bumper was broken and stuff. i got it fixed, and since then its been like a diamond in the rough for me, lol. only problem is its a 4 5/8 grip, and way too big for me. im 5'5, but i find 1/4 too small, and 3/8 so-so, so i might go for 1/2. i just want an upgrade of the pro staff, hopefully more stable, because i dont want to keep using something thats discontinued, amongst other reasons.

i have access to a demo of the ncode tour 90, so i think im going to give it a shot hopefully this weekend. and i'll see from there i guess.

thanks to all who voted, but... note to self: never include an "i dont know but i felt like voting" option ever again... lol

thanks for the onloy constuctive reply from anyone in this thread so far... except for maybe kartik's

Then why does you profile state you are 22?

who writes the truth in their profile... LOL. but hey, look at it this way: i can be whatever age you want me to be.

btw, thanks for another non-constructive post... i was hoping you would be able to chip in frazeur, since your signature says that you have both ncode tour 90 and ps tour 90, but i guess not.

also, merry christmas to you too

I'm sorry I couldn't help but I seriously think it's a little too early to be thinking about the k-90. I'd atleast wait a month or two after its release to hear feedback before buying it. The yonex rds mid seemed to have nice specs when they first talked about it but didn't play as well as I hoped. Thankfully the forum has a classifieds section and I managed to sell it, but it might be a waste of time .... Hope that's constructive enough :p

All that being said, I think the shorter handle might be a step forward towards replicating the ps 85's specs....So you could be our guinea pig

At a 4.5, you should be able to handle either stick, and even more so if you are strong. Go with the K90, as the reviews say (overall) it is better than the N90

I'd say if it ain't broke, don't fix it. But since you brought it up...

Two racquets I have experience with that are in that headsize/weight range are the Head LM Prestige mid and the Prince NXG mid. If you want to demo some other gear and like the 90, I consider these two to be NOT sucky. The Prestige is a wrecking ball with suprisingly good spin on call and the flexy NXG is a little less powerful, but has spin potential that could get you cited for breaking the laws of physics in 28 states. Well, that's my impression anyway.

I doubt your ready for either stick

excellent post, full of quality eh... notice how the title of the thread said: which would better suit my game (a spin type of game); not "Am i ready for this stick or not". that is up to my discression, not yours. if you were my coach, maybe, but you are not.

if i want to ask you if im ready or not to use this racket, i will. but in this thread, i didnt. thus, dont reply with something about what i didnt ask.

thank you very much

I think this thread should be this:

What racquet is better when used wearing a diaper:
K-90
Ncode-90

You want to be a PRO and you can't take a few needles or jokes....these so-called coaches must have a screw loose to think you have "the talent" to be a PRO. Thanks for the laugh...its been a rainy day in PA.

Also....not enough people have really played w/the K90. I doubt more than one or two on this board. Wait till February/March to ask you silly question.

How can you judge a racquet that isn’t even available yet. Just going by the specs is a bad way to buy a racquet. But from what I hear the new k90 is more like the 6.0, so I would say the nSix-One is better. But you should wait and play with the K90 before getting it....same with the nSix-One (if you haven’t already). If you play well with the PS tour 90 then I would go with the nSix-One. I found that the nSix-One is very spin friendly.

ass face...you asked about the K90.

ROFL, give me a few minutes to stop laughing at that comment...

ok im good. after that comment, i dont think you have read a single post of mine in this thread, and there havent been too many jr, if you cant count ill help you... its 6.

if you still dont understand, notice how the title says k90 OR (HINT: SEE OR) Ncode tour 90. what does OR mean to you jr?

unfortunately I am unable to help you with a comparison, as I have not yet had a chance to demo the (K)90. As for the "constructiveness" of my post I merely wanted clarification on the discrepancy between your profile and what you have stated in this thread.

I doubt your ready for either stick
What knowledge of his playing ability do you have to make such a comment?

I do not see how a person's reception to guff have anything to do with his ability to be a professional player. As for the timing of his question it is a bit premature, how does his timing make the content of his question silly?

I could "chip in" by having had demoed the racquet as others have, but I have not yet had the chance.

ass face...you asked about the K90. The guy does not own it, so how could anyone (him inlcuded) answer your very stupid question.

I smell something vile...I think you need to change your diaper.

Grow up
"my coach thinks I have the talent to go pro"

Yeah...a pro whiny punk.

According to your profile you were born January 1, 1970, 36 years old and you are name calling people ass face. You take time out of you day to insult, belittle and to demean him. Our purpose here is too help people that ask for it. You purposes appear to be entirely to the contrary, your kind of poster is not wanted here, I can assure you that. You are welcome to return when you decide to- as you put it- grow up.

SFrazeur, you're so right about Borat's comment. Well the knowledge he has is that the OP said he's a 15 and a half year old 4.5 player. Now I'm a year and a half older than him, probably 4.5 or better, and I'm using all these 90 inch frames. Why? Because it suits me.

To the OP. Wait for the K-Factor to come out, but it sounds like this could be a stick for you :D

Duzza:

thanks for the advice, and i think thats what ill do. i went yesterday to the store and they only had the ncode 6.1 95 for demo, no tour 90 :( but my dad said thats good because he'd rather i focus on my game, and wait for the rackets till later.

Frazuer: thanks for that post you made. I was just hoping you could contribute by saying how you feel the ps tour 90 and ncode tour 90 compare to each other. thats all.

thanks a lot!

Sorry, but if you've only been playing for a year and a half then you are not 4.0-4.5. Believe me.

Most people never make it any higher than 3.5 even after 25 years of playing.

Have you won any 4.0 or 4.5 tournaments?

BTW, the PS Tour 90 and the nCode 90 have very similar, if not exact, weight distributions. The K90 is supposed to be closer to that of the PS 6.0 85.
