Will anyone prevent Fedal from sweeping the remaining Masters and WTF?

Up until Wimbledon it was all identical to 2006. Fed winning everything on hard and grass, Nadal winning everything on clay except the 3rd clay Masters which went to a surprise winner. Then the pattern stopped with Zverev and Dimitrov winning NA Masters and Nadal ending his title drought on hard courts by winning the US Open.

Obviously nothing can ruin their 2017 season at this point as they both won multiple Majors. But will they finish it on a high, the same way the most of the past 9 months have been for them?

I predict that Paris will go to someone third.

LOL no way. There is nobody to stop them. Just as I started to get hypnotized by this place to think the previous two years were so dull, this absolute crapfest called 2017 took that to a whole new level.

Anyway, since it's only between them two, I'll cheer for Fed at the Masters and Rafa at the WTF. Which means it will be 32 Masters for the Bull and 7th WTF for the Maestro. :D

Fed to take Shanghai , Basel and WTF.
Nadal to take Paris.
So yeah they might just edge it.

Would be real sad if nextgen scrubs vultured another master 1000.

The field is a wasteland. Why wouldn't they sweep the remaining events, and who is going to stop them?

IMO Zverev is the only one likely to pose any kind of challenge given his record at the Masters this year.

Agree, don't see anyone other than Fed, Rafa and Zverev winning anything. It is not even close. If by chance Delpo takes out Zverev tomorrow, it may just be Fedal alone.

Goffin can stop anyone when he's in the zone.
He must be in the zone once every decade since his H2H against the big guys is pathetic.

H2H:

Fed-Goffin 5-0
Rafa-Goffin 2-0
Djoker-Goffin 5-1
Murray-Goffin 5-0
-------------------------
When has Goffin ever been in the zone in a big match? Must have missed that 10 minute stretch.

He's just now getting into the zone. Mark my words. Vamos healed Goffin!

I really like Goffin, in theory, because he's a small guy, he's named David and there are too many Goliaths in the modern game.

I think the smaller guys are more fun to watch, more athletic, very entertaining.

But a guy David's size has to be winning 30% or more of his return games to compete at the top, because he's never going to get to that magic 90% or so of service games (on HCs), and that just isn't going to happen.

If Diego served as well as David he'd be winning Masters, I think.

1. Zverev
2. Dimitrov
3. Cilic
4. Del Potro

Nadal is getting Dimitrov right now likely followed by Cilic so some testing.

Del Potro in the zone can derail federer and Nadal. Zverev is going backwards , krygios needs mental help, Thiem is only ever going to be a threat on clay, and the rest just aren't good enough to challenge federer or Nadal on any surface if they play well.

That said Cilic might take Nadal out in shanghai if he zones. But he was rubbish in Tokyo in a tournament he should have won so I would bet any money on it.
