He seems like a dick too. At a challenger event a few years ago here in Dallas he was berating ball kids, complaining and moaning about the crowd being noisy, mumbling after every single point he lost. Was great to see Frances Tiafoe kick his butt 3 and 3 during that match.

It's not the concept or the definition I have a problem with, but the context in which it was said: as part of a idiosyncrasy in which men should be looked down for being with a woman who has had sex with someone else in the past, as if that made her a lesser human or something. That's a high school doucheb*g mentality.

Isner wouldn't be near the top 150 with Ferrer's serve. Just look at his breaking% and then look at Ferrers hold% and keep in mind that his hold% is gonna be way lower than Ferrer's because he's useless off the ground.

The thing with Bedene, is that the BBC and the British press don't really have a choice in reporting about him.

They can't make a judgement call on who is and isn't British.

The ''not really British'' mantra also harks back to long-gone racist and xenophobic times, so it's not really a subject which most people like to dwell upon too much. Even so it seems justified in Bedene's case, as he is only ''British'' for convenience purposes.

Bernie. I try to get behind players from my own country but seriously, Tomic makes it so hard to actually want to root for him.

Kyrgios is starting to get on me nerves too.

If only these two nuff-nuffs had half the 'fighting' spirit and determination of their DC captain. [emoji17]

I don't dislike him, and I know that there's a general love-in about him on this forum, but Stan Wawrinka always comes across as surly, unpersonable and not exactly a ''good sport''.

Outside his tennis, he doesn't appear to have any personality traits which would attract someone to support him.

I like your thread idea and hating Bedene fine, but it doesn't help the British Davis Cup team one bit to have lesser "real" British players out there getting demolished. You'd be singing another tune if he made the team and got them over the hump again.:rolleyes:

It just says a lot about the mentality of the guy and why Bendych has been a loser his entire career. 13-18 in finals and never beaten a big time player in any of those. I love to watch Bendych go down in tight sets and matches like clockwork.:p But even with that love, still my least favourite player on tour since Roddick left.:D
