Not so sure about that, but he beat everyone that was put in front of him.Pouille is ranked higher than anyone Nadal had to beat at the USO... Sock could be a slam winner!

I think Delpo will take his own slam title with wins over Fedal rather than Sock's M1000 in Paris.Tennis sometimes is not fair as Delpo deserved an ATP 1000 title more than him. Jack Sock is, at most, ATP 250 material.
this post was 250 material both timesTennis sometimes is not fair as Delpo deserved an ATP 1000 title more than him. Jack Sock is, at most, ATP 250 material.
Tennis is not in a great place right now, there are not that many big tournaments that have been won this year that have been won against especially impressive draws, the Paris Masters is rarely in an impressive state even in a good year anyway, and yet... Kyle Edmund since New York has been playing well, and usually only losing respectable matches to good players, Pouille just won a 500 last week, Verdasco knocked off the not unimpressive trio of Rublev, Anderson, and Thiem. That's not a bad draw.
Not really. Del Potro missed his best chance ever to win his first one.He had to beat Edmund, Lucas Pouille, Fernando Verdasco, Julien Benneteau, and Krajinovic to clinch his first ATP 1000 title.
Does it come more difficult than this?
It still stuns me to think how close Edmund was to stopping Sock in his tracks at the very first hurdle. He had already beaten Sock comfortably in straights in Atlanta back in the summer and seemed well on his way to to doing the same in Paris when he was 5-1 up in the deciding set. How he managed to choke away a lead of that magnitude against a guy he had already beaten comfortably earlier in the year is an absolute mystery but the fact remains he went out a 1st round loser and remains ranked #50 in the world whilst the guy he had on the ropes went on to win the event, win his 1st Masters 1000 title, break into the top 10 and qualify for the season-ending championships. Such are the fickle twists and turns of fortune in this game of tennis!

I'd give him a little more credit than 250 lol. He's a 500 now because he won a 1000 in BercyTennis sometimes is not fair as Delpo deserved an ATP 1000 title more than him. Jack Sock is, at most, ATP 250 material.
It's not fair at all, sorry to tell you mate! Someone like DelPotro who has no Masters title or like Wawrinka who has only 1 title.Tennis sometimes is not fair as Delpo deserved an ATP 1000 title more than him. Jack Sock is, at most, ATP 250 material.

You make your own luck. Sock showed up in form when many did not, and now he has a Masters 1000 crown to show for it.
