"Best" tennis bag (6-9raqs)

thanks. I will buy this one. 9 is good size, why I would need bigger size? What do you have in your bag to need a 12 version?
I am going to need place for 5 racquets, 1 towel, 1 shoes, 1.5L water, 2 bananas, 1 bag for wet clothing after the match, 1 bag for clean clothes. I thinnk 9 size will be ok or?The Yonex 9 is the perfect "big" size. Roomy without being huge. I don't know what you would "need" the 12 for -- even the pros who use it look like they're carrying a half-empty bag. It's veeeery roomy. What I will say is that a loaded up smaller bag is more uncomfortable to carry than a larger bag (it's denser) with the same stuff spread out. I carry 4 racquets, a load of sweat bands, some extra strings, 1-2 cans of balls, hat, prescription goggles, ankle and knee braces, towel, maybe a spare pair of shoes, tape, pain killers, dampeners, plus room for keys, wallet, spare clothes, etc. I try to keep all my tennis **** in my bag because my wife hates finding it around the house. So I keep everything in one bag. I'm using the Babolat 12 because the 6 is just a little tight. Do I get comments? Occasionally. Dumb ****. "Hey, do you have a body in there?" "How many rackets do you have, 50?" I just tell them to shut up and serve. Guys get so weird when someone else has something bigger than them. Except for cars. Big oversize trucks and jeeps are manly. Do you need tires than large to get around? You need 3 rows and 420 HP to drive to work? One guy I was playing a USTA match against last summer made a comment on my Pure Strike 12 bag. I usually get right to the point and say, "Do me a favor, pal, and STFU." Works.

I have this bag and it should fit everything you mentioned although the bag will probably be entirely full. The bag can technically fit 9 rackets but it will be a very very tight fit. Also, I may have gotten unlucky with my bag but the straps are very squeaky on mine...
Otherwise I like the bag alot
No, not unlucky. Mine squeak like hell, too. Try a little WD40 on the plastic.

Now you also know what ROC is.
I believe some of the One Strings gear comes both from the PRC and ROC.

Not the easiest to find Gosen outside of Japan. I see the brand sometimes on Amazon but always frightfully expensive.
Try Japanese online shopping site Rakuten.
For inner view when I get back home tonight will take some pictures and put them up.

is it cheaply made though (ie. the stitching)? or is it "north face bag" like construction?
When I was looking last year I went with a Babolat Pure 6 pack bag. I decided a 9 pack/12 pack was just too big for what I needed. I only carry 3 rackets so it's a perfect fit in the thermal side. The other side is big enough for a couple cans of balls, sweat bands, towels, change of clothes, and anything else I need to put in there. Also like it has a separate vented compartment if I need it.

Really, everything depends on your purpose for a bag.
I hate walking on to a court with a huge bag, my tennis sessions are between 1-2 hours so a plain gym sac works ideally for me. The issue comes with storage and travel, hence my huge rant somewhere above, and in many places on the forums. After many, many bags, I consider pretty much all the 'sports companies' rubbish, in terms of luggage. Wilson, Babolat etc don't make anything, they get factories to make them, and to me this is obvious in their lack of understanding, or even recognition what people need when travelling. Maybe its just me who's nitpicky, who knows?
Anyway, after a lot of time/effort spent on it, I'm currently using the below three bags:
On court and bicycling around: Adidas Alliance II Gym Sac
This is the best of all the gym sacs because it has a zipper and two mesh sides for water bottles etc. I've actually managed to put 4 rackets in it, amazingly.

Day trip by car in summer: Gigavibe
Svelte, sleek, carries 2 rackets, and is surprisingly roomy. It's very well designed and thought out.

Week trip by plane: Gosen
It's the best and sturdiest bag I've ever had, so much so that at times I feel perhaps it might even cross the line into being too damn sturdy. By this I mean, it should be able to take 4 or 5 frames, but somehow more than 2 gets in the way of it being pretty and tasteful etc because the sides bloat up a bit. But yeah, outside of this little nitpicking, I've never had a better bag then this one and I love it. I enjoy "locker" type luggage where there's an assigned place for everything, because I hate fishing about a bag for stuff. Clothes should be here, electronics should be there etc and Gosen, perhaps the Japanese, are very good about these things.

the ultimate hustler move.... some crappy gym bag, made by jansport or le sac.
maybe the string bags would be even better (ie. what kids use)
or just a "racquet" cover...
for local play i either:
a) for matches, do the 12 racquet tennis bag (need sweat stuff, extra racquets, grips, chair, etc...), don't want to try to remember what i need for when
b) for clinics/practice... just carry 2 racquets

Haha, I’m quite low key when it comes to what I bring on court. The mind games begin when I play the first set with the old 6.0 Pro Staff, and after warming up enough, shift over to the Angel TC-95. Gym sacs work great, I can pop by a coffee shop or a convenience store afterwards by bike and not give off the impression I’ve come off a pro match - this is nice because many times a stranger will approach you and ask about tennis, and you get to make a new friend.
Gosen is always doing interesting things, they have a huge badminton heritage in Japan. I want to buy one of their new models to see if they have a design which can replace the Technifibre on long trips by aeroplane.
I don’t really like the Technifibre because it’s annoyingly flimsy in its compartment dividers, but it’s the roomiest one out there which has well thought out access without getting into roll on bag territory. It’s definitely not North Face in its construction, the outer material won’t tear, but it is soft construction. It’s one of those bags you need to cram to it’s limits to feel things inside are secure/safe.

Also, if you’re into unique vibration dampeners and are buying that Gosen on a Japanese marketplace, try out a few of the below. They’re the nicest dampeners I’ve ever used. I’m being flippant in my post - the guy and I are just being a bit silly. They’re very good.
Shock absorbers are another gripe.
Do manufacturers really expect us to believe vibration dampening in tennis is needed on levels of earthquake planning in modern day, supertall, skyscrapers?

Overall my experience with One Strings wasn’t a positive, but I also bought a bunch of things when they first branched out from their forte of strings so they might well have improved. They don’t seem to have the commitment like Angell has when it comes to engineering, it’s more fashion applied back to tennis, which is okay for a towel or wristband, but not enough when it comes to items that need durability.

Above Gosen will definitely not work. I haven’t come across a decent 9-12 bag. I’m looking for one myself. The best one I’d come across was the 2016 (?) Babolat RG edition - but it was just too large. Also, absolute garbage for getting on airplanes.
I have to believe Gosen has a 9-12 model somewhere, the tricky part is not knowing if it’s for badminton or tennis before purchase.

Back in the day when I would fly with max 2 frames I’d carry them in my laptop bag with the ends poking out. Nowadays who knows what airlines allow in different parts of the world so I check my bag in.

Same here. I’m perpetually 2-4 months away from home. Max I carry 3 frames. The issue is I’m a bit of a compulsive racket-o-holic, and always end up being suckered into buying 1-2 and return back with 5.

Didn’t get around to trying their bag(s). Not a fan of the conventional designs in tennis bags. Beyond the colours/patterns it looks the same as every other bag out there.
I see. I'm also a racquetaholic owning 200 frames and more than 10 different bags. But always looking for something special.
