Bull accomplishing what he has with these injuries is why he's the GOAT. If Fed had half the injuries he would have retired years ago. Unlike Fed, Bull plays through his injuries and doesn't run away.

IW and Miami injured and couldn’t play. Davis Cup and the rest of the clay season he played like a beast. He was saving himself for the dirt. Why not be like Fed and just admit that he’s saving himself for his favorite surface. He meets the exemptions.

All those injuries over the years and still in the GOAT debate. Most guys with all them injuries do nothing in their careers. Impressive.

The OP is yet another example of Fed devotees' long tradition of hating Rafa, it has lasted over a decade - since Rafa started to beat Fed devotees' beloved one. LOL

With a bit of luck we could have him on the tennis throne exactly one decade since the first time he reached it. And considering people were sending him into retirement for several years now because of his style and injuries which are not considered fake in that subject, that would be amazing...

Has Federer retired from a match, back problems or not?
Not once.

Has Rafa retired from matches, injured of not?
Yes, many times.

Maybe Federer's back pain comes and goes - you probably have lots of proof for this - but FACT remains:
Federer: 1400 pro matches, zero - 0 - retirements.

I have read on TTW after Fed's losses that he had back pain...

You can do this with Djoko and Murray too, only they only limp when they’re losing a set. And then all of a sudden they’re perfect again.

I don't know why he does it. He's an adult, why not simply be like Lendl did and say he's focusing on a part of the season and not go to other tourneys. If he wants to dominate Clay, skip January through March hard court. No shame in that.
Save me the Google please..... This is interesting. Hadn’t heard this. What did Lendl skip, clay? I guess he just said, I don’t like clay so I’m focusing elsewhere?
