Wimbledon 2004 and Wimbledon 2012 come to mind.

Wim 04 only. He was down a break in the 3rd set, that's it. (they were 1 all in sets)

Wim 2012, he had already turned the match around before the rain started by winning the 2nd set.

rain only started in the 3rd set.

The rain break isn't totally to blame for this. To be quite honest, I'm shocked that such a thing as a rain delay can throw off a player's rhythm this much. Schwartzman is missing by miles now, or into the net when he wasn't earlier. That can't only be blamed on rain or Nadal being "saved" by it. It's time for us to look at Diego and stop moaning about Nadal.
Wrong. It's time to double-down on Rafa.

I left for like 30 mins and I come back to see its 5-3 and another delay...wow didn't expect to miss that much in just half an hour

For the last damned time, they ARE building the roof!

They were stuck in the courts because the surrounding neighbourhoods were campaigning against grounds expansion but it looks like the courts have ruled in the tournament's favour.
Good to know, they have not been very clear on that point on Eurosport. McEnroe has built his whole "Commisioner of tennis" segment on Game Schett and Mats around the roof to be or not.

Schwarzman ain't got the goods people. Rain or no rain, he doesn't have the mentality to beat Nadal on clay. He caught Nadal playing bad and bagged a set. That's all. With that horrible serve Nadal can break at ease whenever he digs deep.

You missed all the bitter Nadal fans after Fed won AO 2018. :)

But he's right though. Federer fanatics/Nadal haters are too riled up and complaining about the rain. Yes it's annoying and it stops the momentum but why can't any of these players maintain their form after the rain delays? You have to be strong enough mentally to be able to do it against Nadal and none of these players seem able to do it. You can't fault Nadal for that!

He does what he needs to win. Like all great athletes.

Djokovic was screaming at the ball boys and the crowd yesterday.

Whether it helps you win the match or not, something like screaming at the ballboys shows you up as a doouche. Djokovic should get a code violation for that.

This rain delay stuff is BS. It's 2018 not 1918, the FO should move into the 21st century like the other majors.

Rafa’s luck can’t continue forever, this is an outrage.

Interesting. I always thought Rafa might struggle in the heavier conditions, but it might actually help him against this particular opponent. He just needs to keep focusing and taking charge of the points.

It's their desperation to see Nadal lose. Haters are haters, be of Federer or of Nadal. They are usually illogical and very bitter for some reason.

Yeah, it's funny. I don't like MTOs or Nadal's time wasting, those are fair game to attack but rain delay?

C'mon now, that's certainly not Nadal's fault.
