(the racquet he`s using has the orenge paintjob, like the new RDS002).

This could really be make or break time for him.

When players switch frames their game seems to either improve (Davydenko) or go down the drain (Ferrero)

With him being so low down in the rankings and switching frames, it's going to be interesting.

I wonder why Yonex likes to sponsor Spanish-speaking male players so much. Is Yonex BIG in Spanish-speaking countries?

Interesting question. Of course, I don't have a clue. But here for example, Yonex is a sponsor of our #2 player, and it didn't help it's popularity here. Nobody I've seen play, plays with a Yonex.

About Guille.....hm..can a racquet change help? I wonder if the new Yonex is more similar to the O3 thing (can actually anything be similar to a racquet that looks like swiss cheese?) or his old racquet.
And it's about time he appears on the ATP circuit, even on challenger tour.

They do? All I know is Coria and Nalbandian(if?).

Juan Monaco plays with the RDS001 too.

BTW, Coria has been demoing racquets in the pass weeks, including the new Head Extreme and Extreme Pro...but he sign with yonex finally. Maybe i can have some pics tonight ;)

We're not actually SURE if he switched FRAMES. Maybe he just switched SPONSORS, and he's back with his O3 or even the POG, but with a Yonex PJ.

Ahhh the allmighty PJ :mgreen:

I'd love to see Yonex try and hide the O3 ports AND make the head head isometric .. I wouldn't put it past them though! ;)

Hmm, i'd echo the make or break, but bare in mind Nalbandian switches from prince lb's to a 28inch yonex and it's not hurt him

i liked coria, cause his game offered something different to the tour. The tour needs more scrappers without huge weapons. He used strategy, speed, and court tactics as opposed to brute force. I love watching the less talented players who give the more talented ones tons of trouble by putting in more work, and playing smarter tennis.

Maybe prince sick of his rank and performance, and decided to let him go sooner. :D
But yeah, I always like Coria's game...and I hope he can do something good on his tennis.

Guillermwho now? Sorry, his ranking isn't big enough for me to take notice.

Uggh, posts like this really bug me.

a. Just because a player is currently ranked in the 100's doesn't mean they're not still a good player, and may indeed return to the top
b. If you really aren't taking notice, why post in the thread?

OrangeOne, isn't it sad when a player ranked in the hundreds, non the less top 100 is not considered worth much.

I know that's not quite what the poster was saying but a lot do.

Actually, Coria is really sucking at the moment. He's failing to impress anyone. His results have been terrible. And don't give me any of this 'injury' crap. I know he's been injured, but that's no excuse for being lousy at the tournaments he DID play in 2006.

Couldn't agree more. People need to go watch their "local" opens, most players winning at most opens are probably not in the top 500 in the world, and yet the standard is mind-blowing. Any pro gets my respect, and the ones that struggle in front of 1000s of people - more so.

Chill out. Obviously, I don't like Coria himself. -_-;

I never understand this either, "I don't like this player as a person", is almost how that reads. Do you know him? Have you had a meal with him? Nope? How can you really dislike him then?

Ignore list, man. It works for me.
The Grand Slam is a kid ok. Just...cut him some slack.

Coria's game went south after he switched to the O3 Tour. He switched back to his old frame and Prince was furious that their top marquee male player (at the time) wasn't promoting the new technology. He kept switching frames back and forth, confidence drops, and he is suddenly off the map...

Prince probably hates Yonex even more seeing as Nalbandian, Dementieva, Schrichapan, Hewitt, Seles were all Prince players before they picked up a Yonex...

I don't like the ignore list - I tried it, and I don't like how it works.

I have really enjoyed some of the threads by T_G_S, really have. Happy to say so. But just like I'm happy to say I have enjoyed those threads, I'm happy to say I think the posts in this thread were somewhat unnecessary....

I dislike his behaviour, and I really hate the way he cheats on the line calls.

I appreciate it, but I don't really believe I should be treated any differently than anybody else on this forum.

'Kid' is also pretty demeaning. I'd prefer it if you'd not refer to me as a kid. Everybody's equal, even on a forum.

Except for noobs.

I hate noobs. ¬____¬

a) say so

Did I not?

b) don't even reply to this thread

Look, just because I insulted a player you like, you don't have to flip out. Everybody's entitled to their own freaking opinions. I'm sorry if a negative comment was just too much for you.

But pretending Coria is some unknown player- "his ranking isn't big enough for me to take notice" (or was that attempting to be ironic?) is lame.

It was a joke. It was SUPPOSED to be lame. Geez. .__.

The posts were unnecessary, yes, but what would a forum be without all kinds of posts? ;) Nothing against anybody else. I don't like Coria, that's all.

I always thought Babolat had that title. Nadal, Moya, Gonzo, Massu, Corretja (retired), Lopez (used to have it), Horna, etc. I'm surprised Ferrero never had one. His style of play was very much perfect for it, the heavy spin from both sides, he never came to net anyway and it would've given him a little more pop on his serve. The Pure Control/Storm is the closest to his POG. But he went to a Head Radical which I wasn't so sure of because that wasn't his kind of racquet. It's more for flat hitters.
