Yeah, I’m glad he isn’t American. But it’d probably be a bigger deal. I think being American really helped guys like Jordan or Tyson in becoming well-known worldwide.

Can't say I object to it. There is a rule, regardless whether it's enforced or not, and Nadal/Djok do break it

What's the point of just giving out a violation. It means nothing unless there's a point or game deduction.
What was the crowd laughing at ? The fact that its just become routine to hand out one violation even though Nadal is exceeding time on almost each and every point, even the short ones.
I think Nole has reduced it a lot, although he still sometimes does it on a critical point.

It's not only the fact that Djokovic was playing a British dude, it's the fact that he's not an extremely well-liked champion. It's not rocket science and I love how defensive his fanatics get about this subject. He's an ATG with an incredible fighting spirit which is what any normal tennis fan would want to watch but his insecure/"love me" behavior has turned off a lot of people over the years. It's not an overnight thing and it has nothing to do with his wins against Federer/Nadal(or very little for most "normal" fans.)
Also, it's not only down to his Eastern European heritage because there are many Eastern European players who are well-liked(Dimitrov, Ivanovic, Cilic to name a few.) In Djokovic's case, it doesn't help that his team members look like a bunch of unsophisticated thugs. Combine that with Djokovic's own overly aggressive behavior towards ball kids, the crowd, etc. and it's not a pretty combo.
But, having said all of that, I'd take his winning mentality over all of these other players with zero drive to win consistently, any day!

I've noticed more and more attacking of various countries on TTW. It's usually America ("Trumperica," as if we all in the USA voted for him?), but also Britain and various European countries. Really disgusting stuff. If you don't like a particular country, fine, but don't subject us to your biases or hatred. It's a tennis Forum, nobody cares if you hate a particular country or the people who live there. Keep it to yourself.
