You guys are making me laugh! :)

First of all, Happy Friday!

Let me try and answer some of these questions...

YES! If we really want to get into it, and yes, it is relevant here -- I was sponsored by Prince in the juniors and used a Prince Precision Equipe LB (yea...I had no idea what swingweight was back then)! But once I got into college that racquet was discontinued and I spent my summer playtesting racquets and that leads me to the Pure Drive, which holds a very close spot in my heart! I used the Pure Drive Team + in college (2001). After I graduated, I ended up getting a Wilson sponsorship so just asked them for "whatever plays like my Pure Drive"...long story short, once I started coaching college tennis, I switched back to the Pure Drive and played with that when I first started at Tennis Warehouse :) However, I quickly started geeking out about specs and Chris gave me his PDR and that was actually the first racquet I switched to at TW, and the racquet I was using before I switched to the RF97.

Chris did in fact also use the PDR (maybe it was extended too? can't remember), and since has gone lighter and lighter :p I work out more than he does!

Ok, now that we have that out of the way :)

Demos will be coming! But probably not for a few weeks (think, early September).

We filmed the video this week, should have it up early next week (or possibly today).

Definitely would compare it to something like a Pure Drive Tour + or SW Blade 104 or even the SV 98+...it's beefy, in the best way! Not making the switch, but definitely will be playing with it more! Mark tried to take it from my desk the other day and I almost slapped his hand! I really enjoyed it and definitely want to spend more time hitting with it.

For me, that higher swingweight really helps in terms of control and then just loads the ball with so much mass! First serves were pretty amazing. I want to go down and turn on playsight and see if I can get some big serves going, I haven't done that in a while so could be fun to see where I can top out.

Let me know if I missed anything or if you guys have any other questions!

Michelle, TW
Awesome, Michelle! Thanks for the backdrop! Can't wait to see u guys at TW taking a swing at the Bisner as ppl are calling it here in the video review!!

Being a long time PDR+ user I was kind of interested in trying this one out....but again no 5/8....the logic of making incredibly heavy and high SW racquets and then having no options for the larger grip size just blows my mind. I guess I should be thankful that I don't have to waste any money, but it pretty much makes Babolat the only company I can order racquets from these days. I am sure Isner plays with a 1/4 grip lol....probably 5 1/4

We will have 5/8 on the next shipment (current ETA is 9/7 but hopefully gets here earlier). I would tell you more but I have to head to the gym :)

Hi Michelle, Thanks for early review!! :) Did you do any Playsight data - or do you have any anecdotal opinion on whether this racquet serves/hits harder than PD Tour+ or SV98+? (I'm still using - got 12 at last count - lightly (heat sleeve on handle, 3 grams each at 3 and 9) weighted Prince Equipe Longbody M/Ps lol!! Any 'ancient history' racquet comparisons/rankings also greatly appreciated.) Really want to try the SV98+ but it's not available in Australia; PDT+ is a bit stiff/undampened for me, and ironically at 100" feels - after 20 odd years of 28"/95" usage - like too much head and not enough handle lol! Was thinking of ordering an SV98+ for the slightly smaller - than 100" - head size, and maybe even extending it to 28" also for feel reasons, but sw at 28" would probably be too much; Bisner at 100" may be problematic also, but looks so good. Any idea if Bisner will be available at Tennis Only in Perth? That's only ~3400ks away and even on the same continent!

We haven't even got the 93p in at tennis only so....slim chances the Beastner will be available.

Yes we already are, so hard to get grip 5 here, size 14 shoes, nice long tennis shirts and jumpers, period homes with high ceiling ( instead we are subjected to Legoland homes and units the size of your letter box ) and sports cars where your head is not touching the roof.

100 head
27.5 length
12 ounces strung
351 SWINGWEIGHT ! YESSSSS
67 stiffness
16x19 pattern
24-22 MM beam. I can live with that.

I'm really a big fan of longbodies. Okay, so it's not a 28 but I'll be damned if we don't finally have another awesome extended length racquert that isn't a yonex or babolat (I do love the sw blade 104 but looking for an open pattern with a smaller head) maybe it'll have a little magic in it like the prince precision equipe lb midplus
Will it be OK for your shoulder and arm with the extra SW?

I'll see your grip size but raise you a shoe size to 15. Many tennis-specific shoes aren't even made in a size 15, let alone actually carried in stock. In high school I did a Wilson tennis camp that included a pair of shoes... first year my sister got a pair of shoes instead, second year they gave me a shirt and pair of shorts instead!

@jmacdaununder2

Unfortunately, we have had a broken camera on our Playsight Court. BUT, we think it's ready to go this week, so while this review didn't get playsight data, the next few ones should!

It's so hard for anyone to get their hands on that SV98+ -- it does feel a bit stiff though, so maybe you wouldn't love that feel in all honesty.

I will see if I can find out if and when it will be available at Tennis Only and let you know. (side note for our Aussie shoppers...we just expanded to Melbourne!) :)

Sorry I don't have better news!

I'm still not sure that this racquet isn't some kind of elaborate practical joke. Do you think the marketing guys didn't realize that calling it the "Beast Pro 100 LB" would be read as "100 pounds", which is roughly the swing weight? And Michelle is giggling when she introduces it in the video review. Also, first review ever where Troy didn't recommend adding weight.

Hi Chris, I know you played the PDR at one time. I am currently playing with the PDT+ and compared to the previous versions it seems to hit better ground strokes, but it just feels kind of wimpy on the serve compared to the plus versions of the original PDR, Blue PDR, or even the black one when I pull them out and hit side by side. After watching the review how does the beast LB stack up in terms of serve pace compared to the PDR+ lineage? I really like the new PDT+, but I find volleys can be iffy at times and serves are not as great for me as the older versions of this racquet.

I generally rotate between the black PDR+ and the newest PDT+, but they play pretty differently.

Hi i have a prince exo 3 tour 100 and i want a similar racquet with the same amount of effects and more stability in volleys, my play is baseliner with a semiwestern forehand and 2hbackand better than my forehand and im 15 years old and im 6.15 ft so i want a racquet that helps my serve so what yonex racquet you suggest me? or head i think in vcore 95,98 or 360 speed mp or this racquet please help

@jersey34tennis

I'll play you for them! :)

I'm so sad I didn't keep them around...pretty sure mine were pretty beat up though. I remember telling Prince I needed more after they had been discontinued and they just started sending me Triple Threats (I think...I can't remember, it's been a hot minute).

If you are in socal we can play for them or next time I'm near SLO we can play for them at the TW facility. They are the Precision Equipe Longbody 28" Oversize, note the grip is shink wrapped but once the you peel it off the new grip is super flakey because of age.

I might have one 95 longbody around. I might have to go to a menace of sorts to get the bumperguard but with some tlc and maybe a terrible attempt at dyi racquet painting i'll send it your way. gives me a little more motivation than doing it for myself.

My friend's comment on this racquet when I showed him the specs: "No wonder Isner can't do anything except serve."

It probably has more to do with his height. Even at 6'3 I find it hard to getting in position for body shots at times. We played a local tournament a few years ago and one of the teams we played against had the center of the basketball team for the local Division 1 college team. (guess he played when he was in high school) He could literally cross the court in two steps...but body serves and shots hit into his pockets at the net....not so much. He was an extremely athletic guy, but it is still hard to get that kind of timing down. I think he was seven feet one or something ridiculous like that, but there is a very distinctive reason why the tall folks don't tend to win majors and has to do with them returning serve in half of the games. I have a hard time thinking of one outside of Del Potro who was even moderately tall and won a major. Seems like six one or so is the optimum height to win a major just from watching tennis over the years.

Actually just read an article after looking this up and 1.85 meters or about six one being the magic number for the average height of major winners in the last 30 years. Although to be fair you are probably seeing nadal and [K]fed skewing those numbers.

Has anyone here used this frame extensively since it came out? I'm debating picking one up but would like to hear more from other TW members first.

I got the Bisner when it first came out a couple weeks ago. I’ve played with it twice and was grooving somewhat on serves and FH last time out. Static weight was 340 g strong with over grip and #64 rubber band. Not heavy to me but did notice the length on the BH. I’ve used the Black Drive+ a few years ago and currently been using Angell frames that are 27.25 last couple yrs. really like the feel of the Bisner and hope to make it my main stick. Will report back as I get out with it.

Yes the Bisner has overtaken my #1 slot..slice serves back to being a consistent weapon and deep topspin forehands on return of serve that facilitate an easier first volley. Think PDR+ without the hollow feel and just always looking for the next best option. Yonex+ were my best next option til now. Will purchase a couple more just in case. Background 50 y/o doubles USTA 4.0 eastern currently, former top 25 singles NC 1980s and yes used Prince sticks back then.

How does the Bisner compare to the Pure Aero plus?
Never really cared for the more open patterns of the newest Babolats, prefer the older versions of APD weighted up, and the old PDR+ and older versions of PD. I would take the new Bisner hands down over any of them. I find no need for anything as far as adding weight for the lack of weight or feel,,which I did w/ the BAB’s by adding everything from leather lead silicone blu tac and hoping for more feel better playability and never really satisfied.

Thanks for the reply. I have been using the Pure Aero plus and the Aeropro Drive plus before it for the past couple years. Always had them weighted up to a strung weight of 340g and a 340 swingweight. Really looking forward to trying this one especially since they specs are pretty close while being stock, too bad demos aren't available yet.

I am really tempted by this frame. Anyone switched to this monster full time? How’s the comfort?

I did. It’s really good racquet to play with. I have arm issues with stiffer frames, so far (2 months) no arm issues with the full bed of poly.

When will it be available in Europe I wonder?

I wanted to order one of the Bryan Bros frame, but no shipping outside the US and not available from TW Europe. [emoji849]

It was the same thing with the Phantom 93P, but fortunately that one became available from TWE. And what an amazing racquet! [emoji1303][emoji4]

Prince distribution policy sucks.

I ordered mine from TW, shipped to Australia. Don’t regret it! These sticks improved my game overall.

Haven’t had a chance to hit with Phantom 93P, not available here in Australia.

350g+ stock. Jeesh! I added 12g of twist weight to my V Core DuelG 330g stick and thought that was heavy. But then again I guess it is for a woman's racket.
