Will Zverev's Laver-Cup clinching win increase his confidence?

Okay, this is yet another Laver Cup thread, and I realize that LC is just an exhibition.
But given that there is some pressure to win when teammates are counting on you, do you think Zverev's win yesterday will give him a confidence boost in slam tournaments? Don't laugh...well, you can.

Most of you are very familiar with his resume: Just 21 years old, ranked #5 and been as high as #3, won 9 tourneys, including 3 M1000s, but has only made one major quarterfinal so far. There's no good reason why he shouldn't ...soon...be contending and winning majors. Other than the continued dominance of The Big 3, right?

Will be interesting to see how he fares with Lendl on his team. If it doesn't work out with Ivan he can always hire Roger.

He'd keep shouting "RELAX, RELAX!" at him. ;)

lmao looking back I really felt Sascha. fed kept saying atleast he has some pressure off of him because novak can still win it but it was obvious as the match went on fed was like nope win this now, plus even borg was offering advice during the match, then you had fed, and even grigor iirc.

Borg SAID SOMETHING? Wow, I must have blinked and missed that one! ;)

lol yeah he got up a few times, iirc he actually said to stand back when receiving Anderson's serve, keep him guessing and fed was like yes but after that come in. that is how you knew it was serious business. he had a few people yapping in his ears, obviously roger being the most vocal. I wish there was a way to rewatch this whole thing, sure there are moments I missed.

Wake me up when he can get his mental game
Over the invisible border wall.

We know hes more than comfortable in Bo3 in 500’s and Masters 1,000 but he just does not have the mental mindset in grand slam tournaments. Its upto him to figure it out and improve on that, if Lendl can get through to him good luck

We need to give Lendl/Zverev partnership a good amount of time before they can materialize. Remember that Andy too took time with Lendl - was hired end of 2011 and Andy won his first Slam end of 2012 though.
