Boycott? Bad Decision?

Dubai boasts not a single US player in the draw. After the Aussie, this is the largest men's tournament outside of Europe or the U.S. Are they offering huge appeance fees at the less prestigious Las Vegas event?

I do not believe it's good for top names to blow off big tournaments. Good neither for the ATP nor the fans worldwide. I hope US stars play the Euro claycourt season and that top Euro and South American players do not blow off the summer U.S. hardcourt season as in recent years. This is something of a crisis in my view.

I think the American players don't want to go to Dubai and back to Indian Wells/Key Biscayne in a few weeks.

Indeed. Dubai is just to close to the Masters and it is a wise decision not to go from Memphis to Dubai and back to IW in 3 consecutive weeks, with the jet-lag and all you get too tired, imo. That's all.
I find a kind of stupid from Haas to go to Dubai, but it's his decision.

yeah he will probably tank though and collect $9,500...ah the Dubai tournament..
