So, today, after playing with a chip and charger the other day, I played with someone with a different game style today, and lost again. I lost the first set, the second set it was me 5/4 where things got reversed. He began to hit moonballs over and over. I couldn't take them earlier cause I was being careful and I am not experienced much with moonballs, so I tried these: 1) I hit similar balls by placing the ball where I wanted to, I don't remember how those points ended but somewhere in the middle of the game, I remember hitting some down the line balls and winners(but it was later when moonball thing stopped by doing that). 2) I returned with high slices to the baseline to make him do unforced errors. Once it worked, but he kept hitting moonballs, nothing else! 3) I tried hitting a moonball, then going to net and taking the ball early there. I think this was the most effective one. --> but he hits the moonballs to the baseline as well so it wasn't doable all the time. These + someone who came into the court (indoor) to watch our match made me lose most of my focus, and I began to play with my head and concentration focused on that guy, like faking my movements/hits as if I wanted it to end as soon as possible, so my head was not on the balls, but how I behaved. (I know it is stupid).
So, I need tips for these two problems. I know practice makes it better, and constant exposure to spectators, or outer factors helps, too - but, I need some mindset tips for the now, and also effective shots and placements for the moonballs.
