Nick Kyrgios: I don't think there has ever been player like Bernard Tomic

Ah, these two brats. You can love them or hate them but they are hilarious. :)

Australian tennis star Nick Kyrgios had only kind words to say about fellow compatriot Bernard Tomic after their Priceline Pharmacy Kooyong Classic clash. Tomic, 26, won the first-ever clash between the two as he handed a 6-3 6-4 loss to 23-year-old Kyrgios.
The 26-year-old controlled the pace and points from the start until the end of the match. Tomic, ranked at No. 85 in the world, finished the match in style as he hit a tweener underarm serve ace. Kyrgios and Tomic's relationship appeared to be damaged after the 26-year-old accused the 23-year-old of faking illness in order to avoid playing for Australian against the United States in a 2016 Davis Cup tie.

However, when asked about the relationship between the two before their clash, Kyrgios said there is no bad blood at all between them. "I don't think there has ever been a player like BT," Kyrgios told SBS post-match, per the AAP.
Tomic hit the rock bottom in 2017 as his career appeared to be in jeopardy. The 26-year-old also didn't make a promising start to 2018 as he plummeted to No. 243 in the world in May last year. However, Tomic finished the 2018 season on good terms as he won the Chengdu Open file and returned to the top-100.

"It is great to see him back out here as I know he was going through some rough times," Kyrgios added. "He won a title last year and it looks like he is carrying a bit of momentum which is good to see." Also read: Kooyong: Bernard Tomic beats Nick Kyrgios with tweener underarm serve ace .

It's a bit slack to put Kokkinakis in the same league as Bernie and Nick. He hasn't done anything malicious... if he gets into drama it has been because he has been dragged into it.

At least they showed up and play, unlike Nadal who announced withdrawal in Brisbane but turned up on practice session the next day instead of playing tournament match in the stadium, disappointed many fans who have bought the tickets for his stadium matches.

Don't understand your post. Can't imagine someone actually wanting to see Nadal!

I played tennis yesterday against a Japanese tourist who is a Nishikori fan. He flew from Japan to Australia to see Nadal and Nishikori in Brisbane. He was very very very disappointed not to see Nadal in Pat Rafter Arena. He's flying to Melbourne to see AO.

To trash Nadal by comparing him to these two clowns, is pathetic!

Double standard much? This is 2 years in a row I witnessed many fans in Brisbane disappointed that Nadal did not play despite having his photo displayed on big posters all over the city and suburbs. I mean, he was practising hard in Brisbane DURING the tournament, but why did he not even bother to play to respect the fans? The fans would have understood if he was recovering in hotel room or hospital, but running around the court to practice and did not play the tournament? What a joke.
