2016 was such a euphoric year supporting Andy, through the highs and lows to see him reach the top of the mountain was a joy to watch.
Was there a low that year? Three slam finals with one win, an Olympic gold, a 25-match win streak to close the year with the WTF and YE#1, 15-2 on his worst surface.

Maybe getting gonged at USO vs Kei? Or losing to JMDP in DC? The twin 3R losses at the Sunshine Double?

Losing back to back Slam finals to Djokovic wasn't really fun. IW/Miami was terrible. That's about it.

I only speak the truth.... Andy has been a great player but he is dreaming if he thinks that he is getting back on the court to win matches.
The closest he will get to handling another trophy is if he is presenting one to the winner of a grand slam. Sorry to burst your bubble.....

PS. If you don't believe me, take a look at Boris Becker....

It was funny because I had a great match tonight on Top Spin. All 3 sets went to tiebreak. Once I got the second mini break in third set, I did this first pump and my face went into Murray mode. It was great. And I won.

Is Murray going to continue his career or is he retiring at Wimbledon? All of this seems very vague.

He will continue his career if he believes he can compete at a good level. If he retires at Wimbledon I think it's more likely to be 2020 than 2019. He's unlikely to be ready to be at his post operation best at Wimbledon 2019 I think.

Wimby’19 should not be on the table...Bob Bryan needed five months to begin playing doubles after the same type of surgery and his medical advisors were of the mind he wouldn’t be 100% for another few months after that. Singles is a totally different load on the joint and will probably require more time to heal and get back into the training regimen required for covering more court solo.

Just seen his bbc interview where he says he is pain free for the first time in 18 months.

He looked so happy! He basically said he doesn't care if he can't play tennis again because he's now pain free.

So happy for him. Was really gutted when he announced he was retiring but after seeing this and seeing that he is genuinely happy now, I can also happily accept if he never plays again because he deserves to be pain free.
