Ranked #66 ATP right now.

If he misses too many tournaments, he'll be playing Qualifiers/Challengers before you know it...

He might retire younger than you would otherwise think :)

Seems about the right ranking for the greatest talent on the planet.

Well, better to retire now than to tank a match and give the crowd one big nothing. Sadly, but such scenario has become almost inevitable when it comes to Nick.

Kyrgios is useless. start giving these guys $1000-2000 appearance fees and watch their snowflake attitudes change overnight. Oh you'll finally see them begin to take their career SERIOUSLY.

Thats the problem. Overpaying these idiots is only enabling their laziness. Its no different than giving CEOs and other various executives millions even if they fail. What incentive is there for anyone to succeed when they become rich regardless?

No one is going to put in any effort when they can make a few mil a year just to show up and go through the motions. Not these days anyways.

It's only a problem if you think Nick's attitude is endemic to the entire tour. But he's clearly an anomaly, otherwise we wouldn't talk about him so much.

If one guy wants to self-destruct, let him. Everyone else is working hard.

Who?? If they were working hard the results would somewhat show that. You would start seeing some different slam winners outside the 30 some year olds. Showing up for a month or two out of the year isn't doing anything for the health of the game

Having good results for only a month or two doesn't mean they're not practicing, hitting the gym, counting every calorie and watching film for 12 months a year. Some of the hardest workers are the guys you'll never even hear about, because hard work doesn't always translate to results.

But go ahead Mr. Keyboard warrior, tell everyone in the world ranked 3 through 1000 that they're not working hard enough. Smh.

Kyrgios is totally incompetent. He gets nothing. Always hurt or listless. Do not get titles. It's embarrassing.

He stated many times he kept going with tennis because it was the most profitable venture he could get.

I sincerely doubt when his body starts to break down and he's actually struggling for big money that he'll stay in it. Will likely attempt something in sales I'd imagine or if he has enough savings he becomes a land-lord and vacations. Never know though he could mature to be a club pro. Good money there as a former ATP Masters finalist.

He needs to withdraw from playing tennis altogether! He is much better at posting pictures in instagram, trolling on twitter and hanging out with drinking buddies at parties...He once said, that he didn't even want to become tennis player and wanted to pursue basketball career? well...time to do something with it...

I think he is on a mission of exposing the nowadays tennis pro life on purpose.

"Look, these people still pay me despite me giving no a single damn."

Like a good writer ... but with a racquet instead of a pen (or notebook whatever).

In a few years we will remember him as a great whistleblower in tennis.

lol

Good

The less tournaments he plays the further his ranking will drop

Soon enough he wont even be worth discussing anymore on any tennis sites

Perhaps in the former pro section when we get an arrest blotter on him in a couple years

Not yet. I want Ultron to fix his H2H against Nick the Dick. :happydevil:

He just lost at the Dallas Challenger in dubs...his best shot was smashing a cell phone of a staffer who had the temerity to take pictures of him while he was practicing his serve...but, the chorus was lined up out the door to see him play--the public loves it's bad-boys--a la Mac. Johnny sounds more and more like he's ready to retire from the rigors of commentating--maybe special-k is being preened to take his place.

Trust me it's not easy being a land-lord, have you ever been one? Special-k would be the last person I'd rent a time share from--you'd wind up in a hammock on a beach. Maybe he could hawk time shares at Cabo airport. Maybe he could work at a car-wash but I wouldn't let him touch the interior.
