Received my both adjusted V3s this morning and need to string them. Happy as hell.

And played with V2 few hours ago and broke its strings (damn Signum). Borrowed Prestige MP (I think it was Graphiene XT black+red PJ) 320g/310mm and I was very surprise of its manoeuvrability. Of course, very demanding stick with quite small sweet zone.

Nice feel, very good power and very easy to play. Of course, it is very light and super whippy stock. I had no trouble with launch angle at all which seems kinda weird as its the same string pattern of the TC100. I could still blast serves with no trouble and get pretty good kick. Rip a backhand at will and forehands needed me moving forward into the hit to get a heavy ball given the weight but flat screamers were easy and felt like cheating. BBO @52lbs seemed like a pretty good choice. This seems like a really good platform 100 with power and good feel. I will play with it one more time stock before i add a leather grip and some weight.

Would be good to know if handle is pallets or moulded (think you said the latest K7 Red has pallets).

Thinking about getting one for my wife, but if she doesn't get on with it I'd probably use it. Would rather swap out pallets than build up grip (would be from a 2 to a 4). Does Paul even sell spare pallets?

Plays with the ease of the K7 although certainly not as flexy. More natural power to it stock then K7 and it does have the very uniform flex of the TC line. It is very light so at some point I tried simply blocking a shot on a volley expecting the reaction of my TC95 and ball just had no punch. Stability seemed ok but lacking weight on the ball which is understandable. It is 312g strung so super light.
That sounds really good, i believe with a static weight around 330 would play great with heavier ball anf more stability. Did you like the serve better than k7 red?

I’ll let you know in a day or two once I’m ready to add a leather grip. I’m getting new leather grips from Oehms so I want to try them out. The wife should be pretty happy with it I would imagine. If you’re buying a new stick and want an extra pallet, I think you’ll be accommodated ;)

Hi. Got a set of tour bite 18 gauge and kirschbaum pro line evolution 17 want to try one of these on my v3 tc 100 320gr 63 ra. Which tension would you recommend ?

K7 serve is pretty good but I prefer my TC95s on serve. A bit early for ASL3 to judge especially given its feathery stock weight but very promising on serve

How did your second hit go? with leather and some weight? [emoji1783]

I have tried TC100 63RA in 330g/12HL, 320g/10HL and 310g/9HL and in all configurations it was Thor’s hammer! Never tried in 300g

@topspn I am kind of torn between getting a TC100 v3 310/9HL 63RA or trying to get a lighter racquet, but still arm friendly like Clash or ASL3 - I know you have played all 3 and your answer will be most valuable.

Currently play Prince TT100P and POGOS 107 - I play better with the POG but serve better with the TT100P, so I am looking for a racquet for big serves and stability, I am mostly a baseline player 4.5+ moders strokes 2HBH

One of my hitting partners is playing Burn 100CV (300g unstrung 10.6oz) and he is hitting some very heavy and spinny balls, so I am tempted to try out some light racquet.

How does the ASL3 compare to the TC100 - power, stability, comfort - and do you think that the Clash is in the same league ?

Thanks, Toby

ok, please take what I am about to say with a grain of salt. No, I didn’t like the Clash which felt disconnected and has a silly launch angle. I hit the camouflage PJ Tour one strung up with 4G which is a string I also don’t like. I hit for 15 mins and just immediately dismissed it and threw it back in the bag and never touched it again. So very short hitting time with it but I was not intrigued.

Also, I hit with the ASL3 in stock form for 2 hours in a friendly doubles match. It had a strung weight of 312g and 2HL which is way out of my normal spec range. However this frame does have nice feel, comfort is pretty good, it has power and serves are very good!

TC100 i think in the 310g/9HL is the perfect spec. It seems to be the perfect balance of Thor’s hammer dictating with a maneuverable package and nice touch. So you are certainly thinking about the right spec as far as I am concerned.

Comfort- not a factor between TC100 and ASL3. Power wise I think ASL3 will also have it for sure, it is just a matter of getting it to a similar spec of a strung TC100. So that would be 330-333g static weight and around 7 or 7.5HL. I have new Oehms grips coming in today so will see were weight/balance is after installing it then adjust to get the frame up to the right spec. Then it will be comparing apples to apples so to speak.

Umm..i have two USTA matches over the weekend then another match Monday morning since it’s a holiday in the US. I might try it on Monday and see how it goes

We look forward to the update. Have you played the Ezone line (98/100)? I'd be interested in a comparison between those and the ASL, if you can.

For me TC100 310g version swings more natural/easy with 320mm balance (~334g/325mm strung). I was not able to use 310g/315mm version. But it might be very personal.
Burn was sluggish for me and no feel.

Thanks, I think that 335g /320mm would be perfect for me - both Prince TT100P and POG107 have a balance point of 320.

If anyone have played both TC100 and Prince TT100P I would appreciate any feedbac and perhaps compare power level, feel, stability and comfort.

Cheers, Toby

Can anyone compare the K7 lime to my racquet the head Graphene Touch Prestige MP? Also, maybe a comparison to the ultra tour?
k7 lime has more uniform flex. similar to tc95. Touch Prestige MP feels softer on impact but give you less feedback and feel. (just a preference I guess). both kinda similar stability I think. didnt have issues with either. both similar in maneuverability. k7 is slightly more powerful. Both very good racquets. Biggest difference is feel IMO and power. Prefer k7 lime but if someone is looking for that pillowy contact then prestige touch would be better. I like to feel the ball on the strings. Racquet is solid and didn't vibrate. Didnt have comfort issues either. Its got Angell's DNA in a more maneuverable package.

What you dont like about TT100P and looking for to switch?

I do like the TT100P a lot, but I seem to play better with my POG107 in groundstroke rallies (more stable), the TT100P is great for serving where I feel the POG107 lack behind. I would love a clone between the two, serving with the TT100P and returning with the POG107. I am often up against really hard hitters and sometimes I feel like I get pushed back with the TT100P and it can also be a little unstable. I tried to lead up the TT100P but always find I like it better stock form.

I hope that perhaps the TC100 could be that clone. I am about to pull the trigger on a Ver 3 TC100 310g/315mm 63RA.

Cheers, Toby

I know whats you mean played both in the past. Tc 100 will have higher sw that means less maneuverability, good control but too much power on ground strokes than the sticks you are playing now, great spin, big serve. If you make order ask for a sw that you are comfortable with, i currently play with tc97 and i am quite happy but a dr98 is always in my bag....

TT100P doesnt like much lead, you can try 1 gr total at 3-9 or 10-2 and 5gr at 7inc from the butcup, worked for me

UT with added weight can be a good stick. Good power, stability, and even spin. But when I switched to K7 Lime (also with added weight), the UT felt cumbersome in comparison. The Lime is maneuverable even with added weight and moves through the air effortlessly. I’m used to it now but at first I was hitting a lot of balls too early, particularly the return of serve.

We look forward to the update. Have you played the Ezone line (98/100)? I'd be interested in a comparison between those and the ASL, if you can.

I’d be surprised if theASL plays as stiff as the 98 ezone, found the ezone played stiffer than it’s RA and was unstable too, pretty horrible and very short play test
However I recently got back on the courts & got to hit my friends imported ezone 98+ this was completely different, solid, powerfull and played considerably more flexible than the standard 98. Amazing what a difference an extra half inch gives you!

That seems natural... the TC95 is an outlandish serving stick. ASL3 sounds like it could be very good and a popular stick for a lot of players. Now I need to read a few pages back and catch up.

I was you I would just quickly grab the handle a bit higher while serving and see if that helps. Doesn’t have to be much higher, 1cm will reduce the SW by ~14 points. You kind of move the pivot point higher and serve with shorter racquet. If that helps, your problem is SW, if not, then probably static weight.

Interesting, Ive never really considered it but when I really want to have up the heat with a first serve I hang my hand off the handle a bit... to increase swingweight. having a flared cap makes this a tad easier to pull off because I retain a good grip

Thanks. So the lime has more flex then. I added 5 grams of lead to the hoop of the prestige to get more stability and depth on shots. I string it with either hyper g or solstice power 18g at 48 pounds to get the power and spin. I just bought my second prestige but am tempted to try the lime. I’ve never had the chance to play any Angell racquets.

Yeh I do this all the time on serve and forehand/double hand backhand. Had to send my tc97’s back to have handle wobble fixed, this has happened on quite a few long term frames over the years.

I have not noticed this dead spot. Grommets are different by colour. Black ones are more plastic, more hard, white ones - tad more flexer and easier to install. Have not compared blue and green ones, but I have them at home, I can take a look if needed.

hello Any ideas in terms of string type / tension to get the best out of the K7 lime ? cheers
I am using the Weisscannon scorpion 1.22 with 45 lbs. It was a great combination of power and control. Remembering that my K7 Lime is 6.5 grams of lead on the sides.

I have a couple of K7 Lime. On one of them I use RS Lyon / Hyper G hybrid, and for the 2nd one I use Tier One Sports Black Knight, both @48 lbs. The RS Lyon set up is softer, more comfy, better feel. The BK is very good too with amazing ball pocketing though after a few hits it feels pretty firm. I might try dropping it 1-2 lbs. In short: low tension, medium-soft poly should work well with this stick.

How are the other Lime users doing?
I gave it all and took to test with an open mind. Great stick but not enough for me to switch. Will definitely need a bit of weight in hoop area as well. I'm sticking with my TC97 (I have 3 new V3 versions). I have a few offers on my Lime already. My sensor told me I had an awesome session with Lime so there's that which is keeping me on the fence about selling it. Are you looking to switch?

I feel the same way, I'm really on the fence with the Lime. Mine is up for sale but I'm still thinking of keeping it because the feel is so good and I like the pop it has with lead. Problem for me is the 93p is just better overall.

Even though my main stick is TC97, I really love the 93P. I haven't even customized my 93P and it plays so well for me. Feels nicely weighted and balanced stock. I occasionally hit with it whenever in the mood. But yeah, completely know what you mean.
