Just played with the vcore 95. Swings fast. But lacks the plow through of the 93p. Will add some leather and a bit lead to see what happens

Played doubles with the 93p and it is veeeeery nice. Kick serves on the ad side were a monster. Never had any troubles during serve.

I got into a doubles tournament where the winner will be given a wild card to the brasil open (atp 250). Isnt that awesome? Hope to get through the first round with my buddy who is a tennis instructor. He basically handles all the shots. Loool. The second round will be like playing against isner. The guy is 2.05m tall. Well one round at a time right? 93p users please send all good energy tomorrow. Lol. I will be playing with the mighty one.

And i cant wait to get the 14/18. Bought it already but only gets home on early march. Let u guys know how it plays. Btw i am a 4.0. 4.5max. Cheers

Playing a tall guy? Use that 93P energy to slice loooow, hard, and flat!

Stopped by the doctor today and asked for the new Phantoms in person......we shall see.

Yesterday, I went to the doctor, guess what he told me?
Guess what he told me?

He said son you better try to have fun no matter what you do.

I said a prince phantom pro 100 with an 18 x 20 string pattern sounds pretty fun to me.

OK, none of that really happened, except for the part about me asking in person. Did not seem to make much headway. Not Sure if Us asking over and over will help or hurt.

Oh I’ll be calling weekly and visiting either weekly or bi-weekly.

Well I went out and hit about the worst I’ve played in years at lunch today. Couldn’t serve or hit a forehand in the court.

93p is still my favorite stick of all time, but next time I won’t eat Chinese buffet before playing. All that food hurts the footwork!

I had a chance to play for 1.5 hours. I did some light hitting and doubles. I still need to get use to the smaller head size as I shanked lots of balls and also being a little lazy with footwork. I've already added 1/4 lead tape from the 3rd cross from the top, all the way until the 15th cross from the top, plus a little blue tac in the handle. I'll try to get a scale soon to get weight on it.

My Ezone 98 is around the same weight by feel, but its strung with a poly/synthetic hybrid of 62/59. For the 93P, I may up the tension next time to 55/52 for a little more control on ground strokes, but right now, i was hitting some big serves, way better than the ezone 98. I can get ground strokes nice and deep with the 93P, but i don't get to take as big of a swing as i'm use to. That may be what I need to do .
for now though until I get use to the smaller head size.

I may end up buying at least 2 more soon.

How is the comfort compared to the Ezone? The ezone already less than the DR98. Does it swing through like a breeze? The 18x20 is so whippy...

May be more of a psychological thing for the mishits and it being a new frame. The 93P is quite round compared to competitors and 3-9 distance is probably very similar to the Yonex?

Noticed the 93P 14x18 is much less headlight considering the OG is 9pts headlight strung compared to 7pts headlight. Even with less string weight there is a decent difference. I will probably get one for fun still, but the 18x20 is a beast.

The 93P is definitely more comfortable since it has the gut/poly setup and it glides through the air a better. I love the sound that comes off the 93P when you hit a good ball, very deep and satisfying.

You're right that the 3-9 distance is about the same. This Saturday, I should get 4-5 hours to hit and get use to the racquet. I should start to hitting a more solid and consistent ball after that.

I still need to get use to the smaller head size as I shanked lots of balls and also being a little lazy with footwork.

Some of that could be confirmation bias. You expect to hit more shanks because of smaller surface area so you take notice more when it happens. I actually tracked shanks between my 93p and my POG107 over a couple sets and there was surprisingly little difference. Small sample size for sure, but it helped remove that concern.

Shanks happen more related to footwork and focus than frame size. The 93p is missing most of its surface area at the throat, so unless you are getting jammed, it shouldn’t shank more than other rackets.

I think the 93P 14x18 is for those that thought the 93P had great specs but don't like tight string patterns. I personally don't think the 93P was ever meant to be more than a niche model much like the re-releases of the classic POGs.

Prince likely makes most of their money on Beast and Tour lines which follow traditional modern specs. Phantoms are for those seeking a comfort players frame which is probably a small segment in the tennis market. But sometimes finding an unmet niche and filling it makes you some more money and allows you to keep going. Its hard to compete directly with the tweener forces of nature Babolat, Wilson and Head.

Out of curiosity I clicked on the Best Sellers category within Prince on TW. https://www.tennis-warehouse.com/Prince_Best_Sellers/catpage-PRIBS.html

- Phantom 93P
- POG OS
- Textreme Tour 95
- Textreme Tour 100P (2015)
- Textreme Warrior 100

I just realized I have owned all of them, and still have three in my bag (93p, POG, Warrior) and have considered rebuying the 100P....

That's interesting. Of course maybe it helps having such a strong "word of mouth" racket forum on the website that is the sole US distributor of Prince rackets. 93P and POG OS get a lot of love from here. I have both and they are great rackets but I'd be interested to see if other Prince sellers have the same best seller list. The local shop here that carries Prince just tend to stock Beast and Tour lines and the Phantoms are special order.

Local shop that carries a "decent" tennis racket of any sort does not exist here. Local shop that carries playable rackets is 65 mile drive one way (all the way through a top 30 city for lousy traffic) charging premium prices for rackets and stringing. Thank you TW!

I've been playing with the leather grip, no overgrip. Something I never did with my pro staffs.

Love it. Highly recommend.

Hit hard for about 4 hours with leather grip. Really only fun for the first two hours. The second two hours are only fun if you like pain.

Changing my recommendation on this to "kind of recommend but make sure you have a backup with an overgrip on it ready to go."

Have to say 4 hours is a pretty long session. Especially with a firm leather grip. I find the Leather grip with one overripe really keeps me connected with the racket but even that I wouldn't hit for 4 hours with.

I only cut the session at 4 hours because I have to play again this morning ;)

I have played all of them too. I went back to my 100tours with ports for elbow. I honestly believe that playing with that stick has spoiled my elbow somehow. I loved the 93p but I can tell you the old graphite pros that I have were a little easier to play with. Open pattern is addictive. I bet the 93p with open pattern will be fun. I am also leaving my Tt100ps behind. I like their shape better than the phantoms or my tours and I played better with them than any of the others. No doubt about it. I did have them waited up quite a bit but they were very maneuverable compared to the phantom 100s or my tours. At the end of the day, I went back to my tours because of the ports and because my arm just never ever bothers me when I play with them. I am all about safety now. I know most of you are laughing because all of the stakes are extremely arm friendly but once you play with the porch for an extended amount of time I swear I think your body gets addicted to them. Maybe it’s my age or the fact that I have extremely sensitive elbows because of a health condition, I don’t know. I am selfishly interested in a text stream tour that might come out with ports but then again I would have to ask myself why I would move to that when I have these orange tours that are in good shape. Finally, I can say that I’ve been mowed several Wilson’s and several Yonex rackets and I swear I think prince is making the best frames out there by far compared to those two. I guess I’m just not a Wilson or Yonex guy.

I just bought a Prince bag because it's become silly for me to haul all these Prince frames (93P x 2, Phantom 100 x 2, POG107) around in a freaking Babolat APD bag. Advertise the frame that killed my arm instead of the frames that helped it recover. Silly.
That and 3 of my tennis buddies also have Babolat bags in the same yellow color. Have mixed them up on more than one occasion.

Time to stand out and match the gear with the bag.

Good thinking... plus it's also a good excuse to get another bag... ;):giggle:(y)

I have a tennis bag for my Mids, a Tecnifibre bag for my Tecnifibre racquets, a Wilson bag for my Wilson racquets, and my Babolat Aero bag as it has Rafa's Signature and I love Rafa.

In reality, I only use one bag and put racquets in that I will use in my rotation, all the other bags are just for storing my racquet collection... but it was a good excuse at the time... and even made sense...at some point

Hope the Prince bag serves you well... they do look very nice.

Prince bag is the best and I don't change it for nothing. Thermal special pocket for water keeping cold is a genius thing.

FWIW, VS Touch and HDX Tour at 52/47 initially felt too high, but after a while, it feels really good (I'd guess I'm more at 50/45 or lower now. Still haven't restrung it because there's almost no wear with stringsavers.
This is really a great combo - I've been using it on my Wilson Pro Staff 97 CV and both strings hold tension, and the gut doesn't get chewed up by the HDX. Seems to slide on it well too. I did string savers on the 97CV also! LOL! I have my first 93p in the house tonight, and strung it up with RS Lyon (one of my fav poly's) did it a 50/47. I usually play my PS97cv with about 58m and 54x with Gut/HDX hybrid. Both pre-stretched and I use slow pull setting (Gut 20% and HDX 10%)

Ah, the absolute reason I went from my beautiful Federer Wimbledon 2009 White/Red autograph tour bag, (Carrying Wilson RFa sticks then) to Tecnifibre sticks - and hating the TF bag at the time. Bought the Nike Court "Locker" bag and never looked back. Doesn't matter what sticks I'm carrying, love the bag. Getting 93p sticks (one arrived today) 2 will arrive on Tuesday. And excited to make the change from the PS97cv to these sticks. Which Prince Bag do y'all love?

Stopped by the doctor today and asked for the new Phantoms in person......we shall see.

My physician wrote me a prescription for 3 x Phantom 93p's strung with Gut/HDX hybrid as equipment to render therapy for my TE , turned the receipt in to insurance, and they paid for them. Gotta love affordable care act, and government loopholes. Then I woke up and went on in for my colonoscopy...great dream tho. LOL!

You had me going I was about to check into it. Haha but my buddy works for Microsoft and they pay for fitness activities. So they pay for golf clubs, tennis racquets, etc every couple years

Played a tournament last week with the 93, it had to be restrung so I was struggling, the racquet didnt play well and I couldnt get used to the trampoline effect. Won the tournament nevertheless. Bought it to the stringer and played some friendly singles with a leaded six.one95s (to arround 330 including leather/ same swingweight as 93)

The difference was huge, I could carve insane spin with the 95s ofcourse and make great angles, but I just didn't have the same pin point precision. It was easy to put the opponent under pressure but I couldnt hit flat balls. Ofcourse this has to do with the 18x16 pattern, but after a few games I started craving my trusty 93p.

Switched to a pure drive tour plus that I used to use because I was interested how that compared and I just couldn't get good hits. Obviously it's an entirely different racket but I struggled with overhitting and couldnt get the control I was looking for.

I was skeptical about the 93p for some time but when I try to switch to a different racquet I realise that the 93p is near perfect. (it's just me that needs fixing ;))

Yes sometimes you think you shouldn't be able to play with this racket and then it just hits some great shots and you say, "yeah maybe I can play with this frame." And then you try something else and before long you are itching to take the 93P back out of the bag. They say spin is addictive but I find point and shoot more addictive. My inside in and inside out FH's are getting so grooved with this thing I feel dangerous at times. If you are going CC to my BH you better not give me time to run around it.

Spin sure can be addicting. But if I miss the ability to hit a flat bomb it feels like it misses something. I have enough spin with the 93p, and a 18x16 pattern works great and when you hit it it sounds like a cannon, but the feel is just not the same. There's a list of things I love about the 95s, (the kick, the slice, the slice serve, top spin and angles).

But with the 93p I can get all of these aswell (not as crazy spin, but it's more than enough). And the 93p tops the 95s in my opinion with pin point accuracy, flat serves, volleying, and hitting flat winners.

This exact thing happened to me yesterday. I played with the TC95 and was spraying balls all over the place and couldn’t find my serve. Halfway through the first set I grabbed my 93p and all was right again. Need to give the TC95 some more time and maybe string a bit higher but I’ll probably end up selling it.

Ooh, man, love both of them! I had the 2 zipper version (6 racquets?) of the one on the left, traded it to a friend in need for a 1 zipper version (3-4 racquets?) but never knew there was a 3! Zipper version.

If you ever want to part with it, let me know!

Is that rainbow colored Prince backpack with the two ball canister compartments still available? Is there anything similar if it's been discontinued?

The 93p is definitely a gift and I would consider it cheating because it's such a nice frame. I've tried all the phantoms and the 93p is the best (although it is the hardest to use). The frames feels more unique than anything out there atm. So stable and fast for an above 12 oz stick. It's pl of 600 is very misleading though as i'm able to generate easy power and spin (using polys at 45 lbs). This stick also turned the weakest part of my game (my serve) into a weapon which is crazy weird. The control and feel of the 93p is more addicting than drugs. Definitely buying a 2nd one soon to customize (gonna try 47 lbs and replacing the leather grip with a synthetic).

Love my color block Prince/Benetton bag, it’s small, so it’s great for helping me curate what I bring to the court, but I’m back in experimentation mode, so my Wilson 15 (?) is back in the rotation. It was a thrift score, complete with autographs I can’t recognize.

Anyone know who these belong to? Wondering if I should auction this thing off?

Just keep checking the big auction site for something like "Prince vintage tennis racket bag". There are a couple of the smaller bags right now.

Yes, that’s where the one I have currently came from, and the one I traded it for.
