Disappointing that the fans livestreaming the matches only get to see singles lines 1,3,5. Several teams have line 2 singles with ATP points. I wish for some of the matches they would have put #2s on the court set for 3s so matches could be watched. It is ironic that MD teams only get 3 streamed courts and the BD 4 courts but I assume that is because there is a temporary stand on one court? If 2,4,6 end up being the clinching courts, spectators are out of luck. Right now there is a TB for 2nd set on court 2 with Petros/Sigouin and then a 6-5 2nd set on court 6-the closest lines are not being streamed.

Exactly.... Also this is travesty that Stanford only get the 2nd courts all week. didn't get on the prime time court even though they were high seed

Borna Gojo about to have a spectacular collapse that could cost Wake Forrest the match
how does Blumberg hit that inside in forehand so well. It's one of the most difficult shots in tennis but he rips it and right in the corner. It's easy shot if you have plenty of time with sitter but it is extremely difficult with shots coming at you at 70-80 mph

In what sense would it be spectacular? That match had been even from the start.

I don't like these two. they are both boring, big time. where is the Federer like specutacular shots ? where is the RAFA like amazing topspin ? where is beautiful shots like Wawrinka ?

Because if you were watching it he was yelling at the crowd, throwing stuff, getting into fights with the chair, etc over nothing when he blew the second set and got down in the third

But he has come back now and looks to win

blumberg had two match points but gojo got 2 first serves in. blumberg wasn't going for much on his serve, i assume b/c of his elbow. that was the difference in the 3rd set.

I think you must have been watching a different match. They're was nothing out of ordinary. It was a high quality match on both sides, conducted in a sportsmanship manner.
BTW - I do not root for either team.

UNC/Wake adds another chapter to what is currently the best rivalry in college tennis. Great match. Looked like UNC had the momentum when Blumberg led but Gojo snatched it back.

yap, exactly. It felt all the way that UNC is going to win. They should have taken doubles point - I think they were up 5:3 on court 1. Then Peck was having his way with Botzer - and all of the sudden that match turned around. Blumberg not converting those match points. Then Sigouin up 40:15 on his serve at 3:4 in the 3rd with a chance to get even and he got broken.

in the doubles cernoch had an easy backhand volley with wake serving 5 all, 30-40 but he let gojo get his racket on it and wake won the point, game, and set.

Sigsgaard is playing really well. Unfortunately JJ Wolf is playing out of his mind....

He got right back in the set there but JJ Wolf is the best player in college right now so it was always a tough ask

Looks like Ohio State will blank Texas now with the doubles point, 1st, 4th and 6th singles taking it home

Got a bad feeling that USC will also lose. Soderlund is too solid for Holt, maybe Cukierman will pull it out against Wiersholm. Nakashima is bludgeoning Jaede. Verboven might bring it against Ross after a tight first set TB, but Smith is for sure going to win. Sands is probably out, and they already lost the doubles point. Best case scenario is Holt or Sands pull it out and those who won their first sets close it out for a 4-3, but I see Holt and Sands losing, along with Jaede, making it a 3-4 loss at best.

i haven't been all that impressed with wolf during his first 2 years, especially at the end of last year. it looks like he's playing well this year but i would take petros if they were to play.

See , Virginia is really #1 team in the NCAA. No wonder they were able to beat jet lagged Stanford.

Will Wake even play Petros at #1?

Looking pretty likely Wolf is the far and away #1 ranked player when the next rankings come out

they didn't play him 1 last year and he still won the individual championship. i've always thought he was better than gojo so i have no idea why he hasn't played 1 for wake.

GOJO plays at #1 spot. he will beat wolf easily. JJ isn't really a ATP tour type of guy. Gojo might make top 150 for sure. Geller should be top 10 in ATP in the future.

Cause, GOJO is just playing better at the moment. Petros is short and he really won't be able to crack the top 200 in the tour.

another low iq post. gojo played 1 last year but petros was the better player and proved it by winning all his dual matches and then won the ncaa individual championship.

neither gojo nor petros are likely to crack the top 100 in the world, but petros is a better player than gojo.

another no brain statement. Gojo was beating guys in challengers tournaments last few month.

yet lost to cressy and had to save match points against an injured blumberg.
I think when you put a guy into team competition situation where you have to play day after day including the doubles, play and level seem to be very inconsistent. and also their schedule change day to day and training and eating habits all change and affect play. Overall, GOJO seem to be the best singles player they have. He seems like he could crack top 150 at some point in the tour.

I saw him play in the challengers and he has similar game to andeas Seppi.
It looks like he can't hurt you with anything but then he just kind of gets to you and picks you apart slowly

you must have seen a different guy play, as gojo's game reminds me nothing of seppi's. seppi is a grinder with no weapons but is very consistent. gojo hits the ball very flat and can really hurt you if you leave it short. he has little margin on his shots so if he's slightly off then he's going to spray the ball.

Gojo does have very flat shots, but he can also play a very consistent style and often does so outdoors.

If this was a full placement tournament the matches today would be..

1st: Wake vs Ohio State
3rd: UNC vs Texas
5th; Virginia vs TCU
7th: UCLA vs USC
9th: Stanford vs Columbia
11th: Florida vs Baylor
13th: Miss State vs Illinois
15th: Notre Dame vs Tulane

I guess 4 matches is a bit much to ask of all the teams.
