The 2018 Jolly video review thread.

I think I got the same demo of the 100P as Jolly got last year. vibrates like it was strung at 30lbs with poly. I wonder if this is a busted frame or something. very disappointed considering specs should indicate tremendous comfort.

Very not disappointed with the Prince Beast 98 o3. I wonder how many people just ignore it because it's 98...and Rafa plays with a 100 or something. My initial impression of this thing is love at first hit. Didn't seem to have the mushy sensation of other o3s I've hit with.

That thing was a dud man.

This is exactly the review I'm looking for! I play the 93p (18x20) now, and am trying to figure out if I want to get some 14x18s.

I prefer the solid beam Beast 98 but I own an O3. I think Prince was smart to crank up the stiffness; it keeps the racquet from feeling mushy with the ports and it still has plenty of comfort. Ultimately though I just preferred the feel of the solid beam.

Did you ever get a chance to do the Pro Staff test you were planning on doing? 85 vs 90 vs 97 vs RF97 I think?

I did some hitting with an 85 but all my 90s are modified so it wouldn't be a fair comparison.

Fair enough. How about a Federer vs "Nadal" vs "Djokovic" vs "Murray" month where you do the RF97, whatever head racquets Murray and Djokovic are endorsing for this cycle, and the softer RA 2019 Pure Aero?

I played my first full match last night with it. I usually have minor golfers elbow ache the day after hitting..which is why I try to never play 2 days in a row. This morning...elbow feels like I didn't play. Would never expect that form a 69 RA.

I had the beast strung with big hitter black, which is pretty soft poly, at 52, but still. My elbow historically has not done well with full poly, even soft ones. This is one of the best serving sticks I've ever experienced, and I like the longer handle for 2 handed backhands. I was off on touch shots and missed a few sitters I'd normally make..not by much... leading to a super tie break loss, but I'm going to stick with the beast all through the upcoming USTA season. No more switching. I just need to pick up another one for back up ...preferably cheaper.

Where are all the video reviews?? Curious to see how you play with the amount of racket breakage you got going on
There are some videos of @J011yroger hitting over in his ‘Brotherhood of the Traveling Radical’ thread (there’s video of me as well, along w/ photos of my installation of hardwood flooring...).

If I remember correctly, solid player w/ a nice 2-handed backhand?

The only thing nice about my backhand is that it goes in the court.
