Avengers endgame trailer 2; an in depth look.

It's out!! It's a trailer that reveals little, yet looks brilliant

my detailed assessment of things;

0:00-1:07. Various characters reminising about the past, with black and white clips from past movies shown. This is foreshadowing the time travel that is likely to be in this movie.

1:08-1:13. Captain America saying he keeps telling everybody they should move on. This indicates some time has passed since the snap. Judging by how much Black Widows red hair has grown back, maybe a year.

1:14 Quick shot of banner looking sceptical about something. This is the only time Banner/Hulk is seen in the trailer. Are they hiding that banner/hulk will have a huge role in the movie??

1:16-1:19 Ant man looking at some missing person posters, he looks confused and bewildered. Probably just escaped the quantum realm and has no knowledge of the snap.
There's a deserted house overgrown with weeds in the background, again indicating this could be a year or more since the snap. This is an errie shot, the missing person posters indicating the desperation of people losing loved ones, the overgrown house an example of how whole families could have been dusted.

1:20-1:22. Quinjet flying over Tokyo. Likely Black Widow collecting Hawkeye (who is Ronin in this film) they were seen in the streets of Tokyo in the first trailer.

1:23-1:26 Black widow comforting Ronin. Presumably Ronin has explained that his family got dusted, hense the character transformation to Ronin. Note this is on the guardians ship, so this is after Iron man and Nebula make it back to earth having been stranded on Titan at the end of infinity war.

1:27-1:28 Ronin running through an exploding tunnel. At 1:38 he's seen in the tunnel with his bow drawn, presumably there was some sort of fight here.

1:29 Rocket on war machines shoulder, in a throwback to the first guardians of the galaxy where he would be on groots shoulder. War Machine looks to have a new, more powerful suit than before.

1:30-1:34 shots of characters and Captain America saying they'll do whatever it takes to fix things, a theme of this trailer.

1:35 Thor staring at his axe. He does not appear to be using it here, maybe just admiring it.

1:36-1:37 Nebula charging at someone in a rage (Thanos??) on what looks like Titan. There's gunfire shooting past her in the background and a crashed ship.

1:39-1:43 Captain Marvel shooting at a target with a pistol at the new avengers facility. This is a strange scene as Captain Marvel clearly would not ever need a gun in combat. Captain Marvel movie proved that.

1:44 Captain America looking very grubby with his trademark Shield. Looks like he's on titan, maybe he's grubby because of the onging battle, or maybe because the ship crashed. The fact he has his Shield again indicated him and Iron man have put aside their differences. The expression on his face shows this is a high stakes moment.

1:45-1:47 Antman being ant man; using a pencil to polevault in his shrunken form. There appears to be an explosion going on around him, is this the same place where we saw Ronin running from an explosion?

1:50-1:57 Most of the heros striding through the new avengers facility, in quantum suits. To go back in time?? They have an "A" on them, indicating Tony Stark has made them and maybe upgraded them in some way. This could explain why Dr. Strange traded the time stone to spare Tonys life in Infinity war, as Tony is the only person smart enough to make these suits. The one character smarter than Tony (Shuri) likely got dusted, this is hinted at in the first trailer. Bruce Banner does not appear in this scene, though they could be delibrately not showing him in this shot. Unlike earlier in the trailer, Black Widow has cut off the blonde ends of her hair.

2:10-2:22. Thor saying he likes Captain Marvel, after his axe flew past her to him and she didn't flinch. This is reminisent of a scene in Thor: Ragnorok, where Thor did a similar thing with his hammer to unmask Loki. I suspect they'll be little callbacks like that to past MCU movies through this film.

This films gonna be epic!!

last one wasnt' very good. only fun part of last move is when 1/2 of the avengers got turned into dust. Why are they trying to bring them back ?

For me, the trailer starts at 2:10 :p:)

Pretty good strategy to drop the second trailer after the release of Captain Marvel since this one has Carol in it.
Can't wait to see it. 42 days to go.

1/2 of all guys would have got dusted too. So it evens out ;)

Could even work in your favour, in that a hot girl you fancy survives while some dhole she's fu***ing doesn't, giving you an opportunity to swoop for the kill ;)
I would be upset if Thanos got defeated in some stupid way like Antman flying into subatomic level and changing the past. Thanos should live forever, he is the best super hero in my opinion

I for one will be very sad when he dies :(

There are theories that Thanos won't be the baddie in this film, it will be something else. The trailer doesn't reveal anything.

Worst thing is if he dies in a very generic way, like Captain marvel zapping him to death.

Thanos is not supposed to die like completely die. He is supposed to be a God. and he can't be killed like in the sense that human can be killed. That is how marvel comics made him. so if this movie kills him off , then they are getting it wrong.

That is Black Widow shooting at 1.39. They keep Captain Marvel reveal until the end.

And those suits at the end are designed to take them into the Quantum Realm.

That's correct. He's a hero who deserves more movies!

A theory is that in the MCU the soul stone binds Thanos to life, which is why Dr. Strange only saw one future in which they win even though Thanos "nearly" gets defeated twice (on titan then by thors axe.) Cos if he actually did die, the soul stone would bring him back.

I don't believe Thor can destroy the stones, they can only be destroyed by their own power (which is why scarlet witch could destroy the mind stone.) Since her power came from the mind stone she might only be able to destroy the mind stone but i'm not sure about that.

May be a reason why the plot dusts scarlett witch, so they can't win simply by destroying the stones.

Awsome, only good thing about that witch was that she had a great body

I kinda hope Thanos ends up seeing the light and turns protagonist or something. There are hints of his conscience in Infinity War of course where he is in the Soul Stone taking to young Gamora and admits that doing it costed him "everything". Maybe he changes his mind and undoes it all to bring Gamora back? That's a bit predictable though. I hope they don't kill Thanos off though, he's a great character and has the potential to be a tremendous force for good.

I also don't think Captain Marvel is going to solo Thanos. She'll probably have a relatively important role though. The fact that her powers come from the Space Stone might end up being important as it was with Scarlet Witch's powers coming from the Mind Stone.

I do wonder how the others (Stark, Cap, Banner etc) will fit in. Thanos can swat them aside without much issue so do they gang up on him like the guardians and Spider-Man etc. did on Titan in Infinity War?
Obviously the Hulk will make his return, we've been set up for that. He's turned yellow after getting owned by Thanos in a straight up fight but will be back and stronger and more disciplined than ever no doubt. Banner and Stark will team up with Ant Man of course to make some sweet tech as always.

I think it's a given that the snap will be undone, no way do Black Panther and Doctor Strange stay dead as they both have future films planned. In my view basically everyone who died in the snap is completely safe and will not only be brought back but will survive the whole film. Note how most of the characters who we know are leaving survived? Exactly. The 50% killed will probably be revived right at or near the end.

Either Stark or Rogers are going to die. Possibly both. If I had to bet it will be Stark.

I think old man Rogers will probably die and unite with Peggy for their dance. But I hope Stark survives. He is a bigger draw internationally. So Marvel would not want to kill him off just yet. I hope he makes a cameo appearance in the future Spidey films as mentor figure.

Could be right actually.

They're basically setting up for a new generation of Avengers involving Spider Man, Black Panther, Doctor Strange, and Captain Marvel among others in future films.
We know Stark and Rogers are both leaving the franchise and there was that part in Infinity War where Pepper was criticizing him for still having the reactor in his chest so here's my revised predictions:

Stark himself (or at least in conjunction with others) defeats Thanos and finally conquers his own demons at the same time, and at the end he decides to remove his reactor for good and retires from the Avengers and has a child with Pepper, handing the mantle to Spider Man and the others. There is his reason to leave the team.

Captain America dies. He'll have to die for a good reason though. I was wondering if he may be how they undo what Thanos did after he is defeated, sacrificing himself (or, even better, asking Tony to sacrifice him) to the Soul Stone to bring back everyone else. Perhaps it even goes as you suggest and he reunites with Peggy in there. That would be the nicest thing they could do for him if he was to die and it would be easy to do on screen in that context.

Pepper is also leaving. So we could even have an ending with Stark's marriage where fellow Avengers are invited. That would be a better way to send off his character. It will be interesting to see where MCU goes from here with the possibility of Fantastic Four and X-Men being introduced to the MCU.

It is going to be emotional.

If Cap dies, I cries.

Here's another thought while I've got some spare time

You know how Thanos just sort of "got" the Soul Stone from Vormyr after sacrificing Gamora? Where was the thing actually being held before it was magically given to him? Also are we supposed to believe that in all of history Thanos was the only person strong enough to pay its price? There are clearly more psychopathic entities in the Marvel universe than Thanos. So if he's not the first, as is probable, why is the stone still there?

What if anyone who goes to Vormyr and pays the price as requested gets the stone, even if it's already been "taken" before by someone else? Basically it disappears from wherever it was taken to in the universe and returns each time when someone comes along and makes the sacrifice as demanded.

If that's the case, what if that's how they defeat Thanos?

--
Nebula meets up with Stark and Rogers and co, tells them of the existence of Vormyr and about the Soul Stone
Thor summons the bifrost with his new axe (remember the dwarf said he could do that with it, and Heimdall is dead now so they'll want to show Thor doing it at some point probably) and they go to Vormyr
Captain America and Red Skull meet up one last time.
They realise to their horror what they have to do, and Rogers tells Stark to do it. They finally make up and after much protestation Stark sacrifices him
Scene of Rogers and Peggy meeting up again
Stark comes to in the water with the Soul Stone
Thanos notices the Soul Stone has disappeared and realises what they're doing. He comes back from his god-knows-where to fight them. He is now greatly weakened due to missing a stone and no longer has complete omnipotence so he can be fought
He is beaten, probably with the most significant contributions made by Captain Marvel, the finally returned Hulk, Stark, and Nebula is my guess. If I had to guess, Nebula actually gets the kill after the others beat him up and the Hulk pulls the gauntlet off. Very fitting
Someone somehow wields the Soul Stone (maybe Hulk, it's a really big glove) and everyone else is brought back
Stark retires etc

How did I do?

In order to get the soul stone, you have to sacrifice the one you love, right? I think Stark admires Rogers but definitely does not love him lol.

But that's the thing, maybe he does. There are lots of different kinds of love. After their falling out that would be an interesting revelation. Thanos' love for Gamora was a lot more twisted than this would be anyway

Pretty good.

Let me give an alternative

Movie starts out with Stark thinking about everything that happens, he is Rocket's ship that the Guardians of the Galaxy had taken to Titan in Infinity War. Nebula gives him parts of her self so he can build the damaged ship after watching him talk to Pepper on that message he records. She wants to help, so Tony uses the parts and and ship starts back up again and he sets course for Earth.

Antman is falling through the Quantum Realm, and while he is trying to get out, he sees images of his daughter from the past, but now also sees her from the future. Somehow time travel and the quantum realm allowing inter-dimensional travel through the MCU microverse is revealed to AntMan. When he manages to get back out, he finds out what has happened, and sees all the missing posters around San Francisco.

Thor is with Rocket, and Thor is looking for a home for whatever Asgaurdians are left, on the way back, Rocket's transmitter tells him that his ship is coming back to Earth and that means some of his team must still be alive and tells Thor they need to intercept them. Thor and Rocket meet Nebula and Stark, and tell each other what happened on Titan and on Earth, and they need to go back.

The signal for Captain Marvel stops beeping, and Steve, Black Widow and War Machine try to start it back up again. Marvel appears and she asks where is Fury. They start to give her the rundown on what is going on, and she explains the reason why she wasn't here was that other planets on the other side of the galaxy needed her, but she is here now. Thor starts to sense that the space stone is on Earth, which means Thanos must be back, he and the others on the ship plan to fight.

Thor, Iron Man, Nebula and Rocket all try to attack Captain Marvel, she hold them all of. Rogers breaks up the fight and tells them who she is. Thor says she has the same energy output as the space stone, she is living breathing version of the stone itself. At the same time, Ant Man turns up and tells him all about the Quantum Realm, time travel and travelling between Dimensions. Stark is told of Shuri's lab in Wakanda, where she was able to understand the recepticles of the mind stone that Vision had, Stark suggests to use that on Captain Marvel to understand how an affinity stone's power works.

Plan is made then, they will use the quantum realm to travel to different areas of time and space and make copies of the stone, bring them back to their current dimension and then use them to reverse Thanos damage. Thanos himself is very troubled, Gamora's death haunts him and he keeps using the reality stone to bring her back so he can talk to her. The avengers recruit Hawkeye who is now Ronin from Japan, and make two teams to get copies of the stones....

I will leave it there....

Thanos' gauntlet will begin to light up due to the presence of duplicate stones on Earth once the Avengers collect them from the battle of New York and Age of Ultron movies. Thanos will know it is Stark. He takes his forces back to Earth to fight the Avengers, but this time they have a guantlet of their own with all the stones, and that leads to the final dramatic fight.

Black widow helps the Hulk come back out, and he along with Thor and Marvel go three on one with Thanos first. Iron Man holds the guantlet in his new suit, and all hell breaks loose.

I just learned that there've been over 20 superhero movies from Marvel! Amazing! I'm just not so into that. . . just would like to see the numbers for them all. My guess is that adults are into this more than kids.

G.O.A.T.
Test audience love it! The final theater release cut version is suppose to be 3.5 hours long. Movie theater owners want a shorter version. The director’s cut is rumor to be over 5 hours long! It is all finalized now but length is kept secret! Maybe 2.5 to 3.5 hours long!

It's out!! It's a trailer that reveals little, yet looks brilliant

my detailed assessment of things;

I am confused. Why did the dude feel that killing off 1/2 of all living stuff in the universe would be a Good thing ?????????? I don't get that., I thought Universe was Huge and there was plenty of space for all ?
