Fed is closing in on 38. He is not a guarantee anywhere.
Albot won a 250 last month and has 3 wins at Miami already
I haven't been able to eat or sleep since he legitimized the Diamond Age. Sickened with Federer.
I know that on paper Fed shouldn't have too much trouble with Albot but I have a sneaky feeling he might have to put in a bit of an effort to get the win and it is by no means guaranteed. It all really depends on which Fed shows up these days.
He's tanking, just as he did last year against Kokk. You can't see how blatant this is? Roger is playing at about 35% of his IW practice level. There's no injury, there's just zero motivation on his slow court for the third week in a row.
I think it’s time Federer begins to read these forums to motivate himself. He's tanking, just as he did last year against Kokk. You can't see how blatant this is? If Broadway Joe can guarantee it, certainly Fed canit is very seldom "guaranteed," especially at this precarious stage of life
Fed finally wakes up. Let's see if he holds serve now to open the third. He’s tanking so effectively he even throws in fake fist pumps (like he just did holding serve) so as to not raise suspicion
If Broadway Joe can guarantee it, certainly Fed can
Mr. Rogers outaplace, eh?
Fred Fugazi finishes....................................real battle in the locker room with the real Fed, awaiting him.Barely... miserable match from Roger.
I think he tried to lose the match but his competitive instincts kicked in during the third set.I didn't think he looked like he was tanking. Just struggling.
Doubt that. He looked to me like he was pissed at himself. He knew going in this guy was a risk and he couldn't find his range at all. I don't think he was moving well either. Just glad he won this one.I think he tried to lose the match but his competitive instincts kicked in during the third set.

He waited until halfway through the third set to get confidence in his backhand. Albot basically tried to do the same thing that Thiem did to Fed at Indian Wells, but didn't have the goods at the end. Fed finally started going down the line aggressively with his backhand at 4-3 in the 3rd, did not have the confidence to do it before then. If he had done that against Thiem at the IW final, it would have been a different match result.
He was trying that shot against Thiem and netting them time after time again as I recall. The Thiem match really was lost on backhand errors. He waited until halfway through the third set to get confidence in his backhand. Federer squandering break points again? Unbelievable! He could have won easily even if converted that freaking breakpoint in III game of the second set
New venue, new location, new surface. May take time to adjust.
From Moldova.Even now, after the match has finished, I still don't know who Albot is. Apparently he's not even from Romania, as I thought.
From Moldova.
European educationWhich I thought was a province of Romania, but is apparently an independent country.
My sister in law is from Moldova. She speaks Romanian and RussianWhich I thought was a province of Romania, but is apparently an independent country.
Just panicNo worries mate.
Moldova has named alternatively the Romanian language as Moldovan. My sister in law is from Moldova. She speaks Romanian and Russian

Notice how Fed didn't even bother to go for the FH volley in the last point?
