How .Do You Label Your Racquets ?

I started this thread question the other day, but it got dominated by questions/comments about other stuff.

How do you label or mark your racquets (to know which one is which)?

I have a stripe of colored magnetic tape at the top of each grip - one red, one white, and one blue.

My friend names both his racquets some girl names.

I usually don't label my racquets - I can usually distinguish racquets by their wear patterns.

I don't need to label my aeropro drive, my main racquet since I've only got one, but I have 2 liquidmetals that I string with different colored string. I use the the same type of string but one is in yellow and the other white.

my 3 rds001 mps are labeled by the unique scratches on the bumper and pieces of missing paint.

One is named William and the other Wallace. If I had a third I'd name it Excalibur.

My ncode 90's can be distinguished because one has the silver and black w bit and the other the red and black w bit.

Different vibration dampeners.

With pointed scissors, scratch a I, II, III, IV, ... on a open spot on the bottom of the butt cap.

Cut some small dots from an adhesive object like a label. Place one on the first frame at the inner hoop of the throat or in the interior part of the "triangle"; place two in frame 2, et al.

LOL--that's exactly what I was thinking. Paint chips and worn off lettering are how I tell mine apart.

I can usually tell by the marks of wear and tear, usually paint chips and scratches.

I think I might start labeling them probably. 01, 02, 03, etc.

I use a label maker and print a label with three lines of information:

Static weight/swing weight
Points HL/HH, balance point
Date Strung, string type, tension

My two RDS 001 MPs are distingushed because they came with different colored dampeners. One clear, and one navy blue.

just a question if there are any tecnifbr people here. I have two 325s and only enjoy playing with one. The only difference is the one i like is chopped down to 27....The other one doesnt seem to quite be 27.4 either. more like a 0.2" difference. What do you guys think is there enuff info here? Is a gut hybrid with gosen super heavier than biphase maybe?

Same thing here, one has leather grip and one doesnt. Another helpful thing is that one has strings, while the other one doesnt.

I usually paint the stencil different colors or stencil one not the other.

I can tell them apart by which overgrip is dirtier. I never regrip them both at once.

no, i haven't learned my lesson i probably should though... i'm geeky about labelling everything else (ie. like which wall wart goes with which electronic thingy)
i also label string/tension/date on the each racquet, so my name/# probably a no brainer thing to do

I can just tell by the leather grip. My Volkls have different makes of leather grips on them. Sadly, the one I used the most, with an old Fairway on it, has crapped out.

This is my technique as well. As well as string wear and overgrip grime.

I don't need to label my racquets normally since I usually have a half dozen different racquets. Only recently did I acquire multiple Pure Strikes, one is a 18x20, other 2 are 16x19 distinguished by string color or grip wear(white Wilson pro overgrip).

I go by dampener. Each a different color and for the lesser used ones, style.

I label mine in stacks - “TW demos” and “TE demos” haha

I haven't labelled mine, but I call my Wilson Graphite Matrix “‘Ol Grey” cause it’s grey and my PD “Ol Blue”. My XTPMP is “Ol Trusty”.

I use small round stickers that I write the tension and date strung, I then placed inside the throat near the grip. All four of my racquets are modified identically so, to me, I do need need to tell them apart, but you could use different colored stickers if you are trying to differtiate one from another.

different coloured Wilson W dampners.

Also they all have slightly different grip size (though they are all grip 4 with the same tape on...bloody wilson QC)

I assume matched same racquets. In my case very simple and as my stringer puts a little sticky label showing date he strung it. And I stagger stringing a bit for a rotation between them.
