They have arrived finally. Tested them only on hardcourt for 30 mins. The comfort and cushioning is A1. Really great build quality and light too. A snug fit for sure. I am a size 12us in nike. And 11.5 in court ff asics. These fit perfect in 12us. I would say they are medium narrow fit similar to ff court 2. They look great also. The best feauture is the traction. They stick well to slippery surfaces.

Looking hard at this shoe and the Wilson 3.0. I like this review for sure. The ultra shot 2 has dropped in price (heads up). That shoe would be outstanding if it is not too wide (the first one was too roomy for me). I have heard that they narrowed it a bit. Too many choices. These D Flys might be the ticket if they breathe a bit. My zoom zeros do not. Love the cushioning but with no sole guarantee probably won't get another pair. Summer is around the corner and breathability becomes more important in the humid south.

I have the FF2 and I like it. Still a lot of money for a shoe. If this D has more cushion, I am really interested.

Hi, I can't really compare them to Nike vapors as I don't buy nike due to durablity issues, I probably could as I do not play on hard court much, majority of matches are on clay or synthetic grass, 50/50. Hard court would be on plexi cushion and that's like once every 6-8 weeks. I decided to test them quickly on hard for the cushioning test, and they passed with flying colors. As for ff2, I only tried them on at asics during the AO launch. I am a current ff court original series user, and believe it or not mine are still in great shape after 2 years LOL. For reference I play 3-4 hours a week on average. These have eveything the original FF courts have, and even better cushioning, The asics do feel a bit faster, but not by much. These are snug and I feel I can accelerate without worrying about injury. True test will come as the weather here gets cooler and night games see dew and wet surfaces. So far, these are fantastic... I use to use diadora shoes in the 90's, loved them. I think if you have a really wide foot, these are not for you.
I have a narrow/medium foot with a flat arch.

How are they size wse? The new FF2 fits me a half size down and still plenty of room. This was not the case with the originals Makes me think I wear a 10 until I try on most other shoes. The Nike zoom zero and Mizuno are really long too. I needed a 10 in both of those. Are you saying that the Diadora has better cushioning than the new FF2? That shoe feels pretty good under my foot. Not as plush as the zoom zero but lower to the ground so that is to be expected.

In my ff court ver1 I am size 11.5, with the right amount of room left for the toes, the new ff2's when I tried them on I feel the same. I normally wear thorlos or 2 pairs socks. Normally 12us in most makes, but asics run long, some of my friends even went down full size on both ff courts. They do however wear thin no show socks / ankle type. I lke thick socks. The diadoras have better cushioning than ff gel court, maybe even than ff2, but need to test the ff2 more...

I play mostly on hartrue...I assume they are good for that. I am thinking of going ahead and getting a pair just based on the reviews. I was looking at the Wilson Rush 3.0 but Granvill's review is hooking me.

At first I did not think much about the white black and orange, but it's kinda growing on me, looks neat. The green / teal and black is fantastic though.

No probs, looking forward to your test. I hardly play on HC but test all shoes there, gives me an indication of cushioning. No problems with comfort at all.
I play on similar (En tou cas) like mock clay and grass, so I think these will do just fine (i got the all court model), the traction is amazing, by the sounds of things you can't go wrong with either, the rush pro have great feedback

I Suppose I would get the all court version. I see in the review that one of the testers said the shoe was a bit wide. The zoom zero and the ASICS ff 2 are considered medium. I like the width on both of those shoes. I think my foot is pretty medium even though I loved the way the Mizuno shoe felt. I used to play the t22 lites and once I played in a shoe that was less wide, I realized what I had been missing. Do you think this shoe is in the wider side?

The asics and zoom zero are more narrow fir than medium, These new diadoras are more medium to narrow fitting IMO, These shoes are not on the wider side.

I may post this in another thread too, but since I already hijacked this thread I wanted to add that have now compared the zoom zero cushioning to the new Asics FF2 extensively...the results are in for me and the zoom smokes the FF2. I can understand why people will like the FF2 but for these 49 year old feet they were a bad purchase. I played three sets in them today on clay and the pain that I was having just below the balls of my feet (between big toe and arch)is coming from wearing these shoes. Perhaps my feet are just used to more cushioning. The Zoom Zeros are much better for me. So what if you are a little higher off the ground, they are still very stable. If they breathed more I would go ahead and buy another pair. It has taken them a while to form to my feet but they are a really great shoe (except for durability I guess). My next purchase is probably going to be the Fly 2 or the Wilson 3.0. Or hell, I may just grab another pair of the Zooms on clearance and let my feet sweat up the place....
If any of you that try the Fly 2 have also tried the Wilson Rush 3.0, that would be a great comparison.

Not sure what you mean by heel to toe drop. To me the cushioning feels uniform throughout.

People love the zoom zeros for the cushioning. If only their durability was better! You could try some king foam insoles for cushioning some people swear by them. I think it may have been @gino ang @The Big Kahuna

Looking forward to hearing your description. Let us know about width compared to any other shoes you like. I am really curious. May just buy a pair of these and another pair of the zooms and send one back.
I am a medium in width I would say. I am coming from a vapor X and a cage 3 and these fit really snug on my foot. I would say these shoes are closer to the cage in design but has more cushion and feels more plush. Also found it easier to put on compared to my cage 3s.

OK, I got mine in and have tried them on...walked around... compared them to the shoes I have and here s what I have to offer. I am realizing that I don't like shoes that are classified as "low" in the arch by TW as much. I do have an arch and I can tell this shoe does not support it as much. This shoe has great cushioning in the forefoot and has a toe box that I would consider "roomy" for my medium foot. Again, I have been wearing the zooms and FF2s which seem maybe a little more stream line. I could wear it fine but having worn my Zooms, I like a more glove like fit for my foot. I got a 10.5 and they are plenty long. I made a mistake with the Gel Res 7's ordering a shoe too long and I won't do that again if I can help it. I did not know until I really played in them. I wear 10 n zoom and FF2 and they fit. This 10.5 seems to fit good and if there is a little extra room for my toes but the width worked out, I would be fine. These have good cushioning while still being fairly low to the ground in relation to my zooms. My zooms have slightly better cushion in every way...heel and forefoot, but they do keep me higher off the ground. The cushioning in these shoes is better than the cushioning in the FF2 in my opinion. That shoe should not be considered in the plush based on the shoes have worn. It has decent cushioning but the balls of my feet bother me after playing a long time in them, on clay.
So I guess I am looking at getting another pair of the zooms or trying the Wilson Rush Pro. Anyone have a good word on the Wilson shoe?
By the way, I am trying to avoid wearing two pairs of socks but I am wondering about that.
I am going to keep them through the weekend to wear around the house. I wish we could play a match in shoes and then decide (hahaha).

I ordered a pair of the Wilson Rush 3.0 today n a 10. I am posting here because maybe some of you will be interested in how they fit. I should definitely say that I have since measured my own foot. I have never realized that my foot width (based on TW chart) is actually considered narrow, or C width. TW recommended I try the new Wilson shoe. After our conversation, they said I would probably wear a 10 and not a 10.5. As soon as I get it, I will at least post here and give a fit comparison. The fellow at TW was very high on the Wilson cushioning. I can tell all here that the cushioning on the Diadaro Speed Fly 2 is very good. If my foot was a D, no doubt I would have kept it.

Just a quick update , I have spent a good 4-5 hours in the last 3 days in these shoes. The comfort, cushioning and traction is superb! No knee pain whatsoever. I did not have to tie the laces on the last holes.
You feel very comfortable in sprints and slides, not worrying about any injury, just going after every ball hard and fast.
I have been wearing two pairs of socks of late, but for these 4-5 hours just one pair of thorlos. I still think they fit narrow/medium, which is fine as my foot is like that.
Really enjoying the shoe, been getting plenty of looks too as you don't see a great deal of Diadora on court these days...

I have given my shoes about 2-3 hours of play time on an outdoor hard court. I get a lot of traction and enjoy the fact I can maneuver myself comfortably without feeling like I'm gonna slip. The cushioning is way better than I expected - blows my cage 3s and vapor Xs out of the water. My legs and hips have not experienced any pain so far from playing in these shoes. I feel more confident with my movement without risking injury. Definitely happy about switching to these shoes.

I did not like the Wilson Rush...not for me. I wonder if maybe I need to try a half size smaller in this shoe? I got 10.5s but wear 10 in zoom and FF2. There was a lot of room between my toes and the end. At least a full thumb. How short do you all who love them have the fitting?
I got my normal size and I like the fit. Just enough room between my toes for them to breathe. Length of the shoe is perfect. I feel secure and locked in as well as I move. The only thing I noticed was the arch of the shoe was low but it didn't take me long to adjust. Overall I am loving this shoe.

I will echo what @richdvng said exactly! Just use the method of correctly measuring your shoe size and add the little extra as per guide. It equals close to a thumb, and is just right. Try a thinner sock maybe, mess around with the laces a bit, or a different size. These really fit true to size. FF courts for me are definitely 1/2 size down.
Really loving these shoes, a great offering from Diadora. If these had the Nike or Adidas symbols these would sell like hot cakes.

Thanks for that. The arch being low was the main thing I noticed. I could wear thorlos and be fine probably.

Finally got my pair of teal shoes and had a chance to try them out on court. WOW! Loving these! Been playing for over 30 years and I can't remember a more comfortable tennis shoe! They feel very stable... Not Barricade stable, but nothing really is built like those tanks. The upper hugs my foot in a very soft yet sturdy manner. The grip of the outsole is fantastic! I felt totally confident with these kicks right out of the box.
Add a 6 month warranty on the outsole and you have a no-brainer clear winner!
I will be ordering another pair or two in the near future just to keep them for when this pair has been used up!

I'm intrigued in this shoe. I'm currently wearing the Asics Court FF's and like a lot, but want to try something new that's comfy. My biggest issue in finding shoes are my toes. I bang the crap out of every toe, with the exception of my big toe and pinky toe. I'm constantly fighting blood blisters under toenails and toenails falling off. This has been happening to me for years. Anyone else have major toe issues like I do that is wearing these now?

Zoom zero. They are long in the ties but will not let your foot move forward because of how they secure your mid foot.

That is fantastic. DJ, did you ever try on a pair of the Zooms? I tried a pair of the Diadoras and they felt lil wide but they were pretty long too. I wondered if I might have liked a size smaller. My normal size is 10.5 but I wear a 10 in the FF2 and the Zoom Zero easily. I really liked the plush cushioning on this shoe so may re-visit.

The zoom zero's have great cushioning, tried them for a short while, like 5minutes. I just do not purchase Nike anymore due to durability.
I think the diadora is a complete shoe with no weakness.
