Looks like Leo had a catastrophic night after the game as well.

Selected by the anti-doping officials to do a drug test, he was left behind by the team, who went to the airport without him.

And then, some reports say that when he arrived there, some of our fans confronted Leo as he had to be dragged away by security in order for any serious situation to be avoided.

They should be bowing to him that we got this far. Of all the potential targets of this failure, they chose him. Ungrateful clowns.
Are the dark circles around your eyes something to do with the red wine? ;)
Si, wine and very little sleep... :X3:
Are you his boss? I wouldn't be teasing you now if I was in that guy's place.
Oh you would too if you had me as your boss. Being a nice guy tends to backfire, but a lot of times I can't help myself. :cautious:

Rioja and very little sleep.. you’re a barber, if I recall? I bet there’s some funny looking haircuts walking around today :p

Agree on Messi, he played well yesterday. Vidal tried to match the work rate of Liverpool, but he and Messi were the only ones who did themselves justice yesterday, for me anyway. In the first leg it was a couple of moments of magic from him that made the tie tighter than it probably should of been over the 180 minutes. Suarez was too busy trying to annoy people and get someone sent off, Coutinho went missing etc.. it’s disappointing to hear Messi is the one baring the brunt of the frustrations.

I have had that job a few times, and all my close relatives still come to me when they want a haircut, but my true profession is civil engineering. I definitely won't be taking scissors into my hands for the next several days. :p

Pretty much how I see it as well. Messi and Vidal are the only two players I feel sad for. They were the standout performers in the 1st leg as well. I thought it was very harsh subbing off Vidal last night, as he was capable of playing more. His work rate has been like this his whole career. Plus he was the only of our three midfielders without a yellow card at that point, when the tie was dead even.

Very interested to see how the squad responds in 2020. This is two collapses in a row now. As happy as I am that they defended La Liga and hopeful they will achieve that again, I hope the focus on the Champions League will be bigger than ever before. These guys are worth more than just 1 title out of the last 8 seasons.

Oh wow, two ends of the spectrum right there! Too much Rioja and you'll be building bridges in the shape of a short back and sides, and cutting family members hair to resemble the Manchester Ship Canal  would make things interesting :)

Who are the players Barcelona have been linked with? I know about De Jong and De Ligt. The Willian rumours have also started again. Not sure who else they've been looking at though. Maybe the semi final loss will lead to them reassessing things, add a bit more steel, power, work rate etc.. Although those 3 names I mentioned would definitely help in that regard. Willian is about 3 steps below anything Barcelona have, attacking wise. He still has the work rate and discipline, tracks back and gets stuck in though. That would be welcome, i'd imagine.

De Jong transfer was confirmed a few months ago, he will arrive in July. De Ligt has been linked and Barcelona seem to be the favorites to sign him but a deal hasn't been agreed yet. Wouldn't be surprised if he would prefer to become Van Dijk's defense partner in the club as well, especially after witnessing this season...

There were also links with Jovic, some young talented striker playing for Eintracht Frankfurt, however Real Madrid are the more likely destination for him. Apart from that nice goal he scored against you guys last week and one highlight reel, I haven't watched him. Other than these guys and the occasional Willian rumors, I haven't heard anything else. But it's only May.

I would like us to get it right with the next manager as much as anything. I don't want the current one to remain here beyond the summer, as nice as he is...

Other than some highlights and goal compilations, last week was my first time seeing Jovic too. Hard to really judge him as Frankfurt were totally outplayed in the second half, they hardly touched the ball. He looked good in the first half though, the way he took his goal was special. He also receives the ball in a way that separates the good from the great strikers, his body seems to be in the right position, weight distributed in the best way to make something happen quickly, there's a suppleness to him etc.. I do think Real Madrid will end up signing him, but Barcelona should see if they can do something last minute. I haven't seen Suarez much the last few years, but he looks to be a shell of what he once was, even though his goal record this season looks pretty good. Maybe he just had a couple of poor games.

Barcelona want Mata. Apparently.

United want De Ligt but he wants to go to Barcelona. Apparently. Would love to sign him. But then you hear he has no intention of joining United and I think, that sounds about right. Booo. Maguire is linked like he was last summer.

Lets go Ajax. Finish them.

Nothing to do with me. One of those how Man Utd could look on the first day of next season. McTominay looks set to be the key to it all, according to speculation. haha I wonder if Utd will be able to sign any of these players.

Mata at Barcelona would be awesome, maybe he could win stuff again. Not sure why he never plays here

I think that's one of the things I'll miss the most with the transfer ban. We aren't even linked with players! Nobody can be signed, so why bother? It takes away the joy you get in July when someone reports seeing Dybala's great aunty shopping on the Kings Road, or De Ligt's housekeeper looking for dog grooming facilities in the Borough of Kensington. You know it's a load of crap, but for that split second you have hope

It's probably a blessing in disguise though. De Jong, De Ligt, Jovic, Madrid probably trying to make a run at Mbappe etc.. The Chelsea gossip forums would probably have us linked with Ryan Fraser, Zaha, signing Kovacic on a permanent deal etc.. That would probably be even more depressing.

As for that United team? I think Alderweireld is a potential signing. The rest? Possible, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

I heard Dybala's aunt was spotted in the Trafford Centre during the weekend. Turns out it was just a lookalike. hmmmmm The plot thickens.

Mad @Tiki-Taka is hilarious btw
It's the wine talking.

Then again you said once that I am sometimes funny even when I don't try to be, so I am not sure...

This is definitely his worst season in Barcelona. Although he has scored in several big games (mostly in Spain) which made it a bit tolerable.

Even if he was still as good as in 2016 when he was the best goalscorer, I would still want a new striker. Suarez is not young anymore.

I miss the good doctor. Hope he is doing well.

Also hope for an interesting game. Yeah, we got one last night. I'm done with predictions. (for now :p) I asked Louis who will win and he gave blank stare and then started licking me. He's on the fence. Getting slagged off in the king charles community so he doesn't want to be embarrased again. Bless him. My wee bro.

Crazy to think it wasn't long ago at all we were playing them in Europa League final. We could take inspiration from them to fix our team.

What's worse is, it's less than two years since Rosenborg took Ajax out of the EL qualification.

Now, two years latter, Rosenborg is second to last in the Norwegian league (which level is terrible), while Ajax are on their way to a CL final (lord willing, knock on wood). Things change fast in football:oops:

Ajax is playing some great football. I can see them getting dismantle next season for the ones who hope this is some sort of revival , I doubt it. Already lost De Jong and could potentially lost 4 more and probably the coach too

That's why they have the now or never tag hanging above them. I guess it is good business for the club.

yeah, on the hand it's a bit of a shame, 'smaller' clubs aren't allowed to build success over time before the mega clubs dismantle them. I guess it was a similar situation with Monaco a while back. Still, it's nice to see that it's possible for a young team with great game and mentality to take it to the juggernauts, if only for a season.

The thing is that Ajax also takes talents from the smaller clubs , Nobody notes that , But sure they create good talent too and rely on them. Mónaco also poached good talent from rival academies and they're also backed by a Russian billionaire , But yeah they do create some good talent , Not at the level of Ajax and Lyon. Also Mónaco doesn't need to sell either , But their owner turned them into a selling club after his divorce. It's nice to see these clubs have this kind of seasons though
