There were plenty of clubs I was already envious of back then, even some that are rarely talked about now. Aston Villa, Nottingham Forest, Celtic, Steaua (really hated Steaua for a while), Red Star...

Luckily Espanyol were never that good for me to be worried about them ever joining that company. You had to win the league back then to participate in the European Cup. They never achieved that, or finished above us in any season that I remember. Nowadays it wouldn't bother me too much but still I am glad I was never tested.

It's weird because I consider myself an optimist but that's not enough. Who knows? lol Hope to have a good summer and see what Ole can do with the start to a fresh season. I guess cautiously optimistic is where I'm at.

Barca's treble quest ruined. Ajax fairytale ruined. Valencia's potential success on a 100 year club anniversary ruined. And Chelsea narrowly escape, winning the shootout in the same manner they did back in Munich in that final.

Rooted for Eintracht as we are good friends with their fans. What a pity. Still hope they can make it to the Champions League.

How things change so quickly. Was thinking Sarri was heading out,, he might still be, I've no idea. But qualifying for champions league through the league and another 2 cup finals to go along with it. Not bad.

Thanks for taking him, Madrid. He was useless for Chelsea the last few seasons. Kepa has been incredible the last few months, @Poisoned Slice knew what was up.

Pleased for Hazard scoring the winning penalty in his last game at Stamford Bridge. Feel for Frankfurt, you could tell it meant more to them and their fans, hopefully they keep hold of a few key players and can come again next season.

They were a laughing stock in Europe because they were too rich for their own good. But since they started bringing the best coaches in the world, everything changed as we can see now. Now, they have the money + WC managers and players. That's why Rummenigge was crying for a long time to abolish the 50+1 in Germany because he knew what was coming.

I will take that over Real Madrid having Champions League streaks that's for sure. :p As long as we sneak out a win ourselves occasionally, as I am expecting a reaction.

A Spanish victory in Eurovision, perhaps? ;) it’s that time of year again.

Sainz winning the Spanish GP in Barcelona this weekend doesn’t seem likely. You might have to settle for a pint of warm ale to toast Hamilton for that one..

Thanks, a trophy would be nice. It feels like we’ve been rubbish this season but two finals, finishing 3rd and winning the Europa League would be an excellent season. I wouldn’t be too mad if Arsenal win though, I’ve been impressed with them this season. I think they deserve a Champions League spot, personally.

Your team is ageing and you failed to replace Neymar's departure and find a decent coach since Guardiola left.
You have a lot of work to do and I don't think Griezmann and Koeman are the solution.

Just give the old powerhouses a summer and they will be back.

In France , The tax system harms the league a lot. PSG pays more taxes than all the German and italian clubs combined. For PSG to give Mbappé a salary of 10m per year after tax , They have to pay 20m. The other Ligue 1 clubs suffer a lot from this and harms their growth. Not the same Monaco (Tax haven , Only French players pay taxes) and us cause Qatar pays everything

Oh I am so interested to see what is in store this time after seeing a bearded drag queen and chicken sounds winning in recent years. :laughing:

There is still our cup final to be played in a couple of weeks, I would like us to end the season on some kind of a high and repeat the double. Plus I have been with a younger Brazilian woman for a while now, and there is a plan to travel to Brazil in about a month, during the upcoming Copa America tournament. It's the summer I am really looking forward to for that and other reasons...

If I remember well you were the only unbeaten side in Europe during the first 2-3 months of the season but then it went downhill. Could still be a very good season with Europa League title, and I would be happy for Sarri if that happens.

I am not too worried as I am expecting more than that, on top of what is a good squad already. Don't see Griezmann coming, not after how he teased everyone about a potential transfer last summer. We better get it right with the manager though. That is my main concern.

My friend swears by James Garner. Makes me think of the actor. haha. No, he still has Man Utd channel and sees more of them than I have. I really couldn't tell you much about our youngsters.

Chong seems to be the one with most hype about him. Hoping to see a few of them against Cardiff.
