Disappointing for Yastremska.
I know she won a tournament recently and the draw was horrible for her, but you'd expect her to at least make it through a couple of rounds.
To have a worse RG than players like Minella or Parry is never a good thing, especially if you're playing well.
I don't now how much of this faltering in tournaments after a recent title is real fatigue or just the player telling herself she's "allowed" to lose now that she's done well elsewhere, thus hindering the competitive edge that is needed to keep pushing up the rankings.

I have Sabalenka down for the final, against Bertens. Sabalenka's my dark horse choice, but my dime is on Bertens.Svitolina? Bertens? Barty? Pliskova? Who else?
Very few players end up going deep into the draw or win title in a tournament! I think she is both mentally and physically exhausted from her experience in the previous tournament and could not mustard any for the 1st round of FO!
Inconsistent ballbasher is inconsistent. That's not true, she could have won in two sets.
She didn't.
And then she collapsed.
what do you mean by that ?? she has bad manners ? or is she a college player ?This girl isn’t even a professional player that Serena is playing

She’s one of few who has multiply titles this year. So she’s ok, I think. And she’s still very young too.Disappointing for Yastremska.

she is hitting the serve harder and hitting the backhand harder than Serena at the momentTalent wise I mean. Compared to Serena lol. Match shouldn’t be close

Serena is not moving well, slipping around on the surface so she can't get her feet set. So when those power shots are coming at her, she is getting late and mistiming the ball so Ton of unforced errors are happening. LOLSerena looks like she’s never played tennis in her life. Improving a little this game

"i am gonna ki__ you" comment that she made last time,, didn't work out too well for her. so probably better to just keep quiet and play her tennis.Serena might have to use her plan B, find something to get into an oral dispute with one of the lines officials or even the referee to psy herself up, bring up she is a mom and deserves respect....etc!
It depends on how Serena is thinking about the crowd, how much the officials are calling her shots in or out, etc... Serena might hit herself on the head or leg just to abuse herself or let out a loud scream! Have to wait it out for some emotionally outburst!"i am gonna ki__ you" comment that she made last time,, didn't work out too well for her. so probably better to just keep quiet and play her tennis.

It's already over.

She's a little off-pattern today. Serena usually comes across as a seething monster in the first set, for intimidation value, and then takes a vacation in the second set, and then roars back with all her leftover strength in the third - that's what went on in the Osaka-Williams battle in the last US Open, only there she didn't have a chance to regroup in the third, and lost.Serena usually regroups in the 2nd set! I not worry since she rare looses in 1st round unless it against top 10 rank player!
and that skull head dress she is wearing is making her even hotterDiatchenko is pretty
Aaaaaand Diatchenko starts folding.
That's it for me, I don't even know why I still watch these matches.
Diatchenko is pretty
Not in Serena's book as always.
But Diatchenko probably very embarrassed over that 2nd serve.
A lot of us don't know why you post either. It's the same **** every slam.Aaaaaand Diatchenko starts folding.
