Will anyone be watching the Women's World Cup? Who you got winning?

Time for the USA Women to show the USA Men how it's done...again.

Stephanie Labbe is who is really to watch on Canada o_O

But yes Wambach doesn't like that

giphy.gif

Just googled her. Might have to catch a few games. ;)Hope she saves everything. Have no idea how good the whole Canadian team is though. I know we've gone through a decent stretch in the last 7 years or so dating back to the Olympics, but I honestly know no one on the team particularly well outside of Sinclair. Who's that in the OP anyway? Is it Alex Morgan?

Canada is always pretty tough. I actually won like $2500 putting a small amount of money on them to beat Germany or France in the Olympics (I cant remember who). But they were like 6 to 1 underdogs.

7 years since Fed Delpo Olympic Epic which was what created this username.

Sucks the final was such a dud since Fed had zero in the tank left.

2012 is one of my absolute favourite Federer years as a whole. The year everybody really thought he was done because Sampras retired around the same age and Djokovic was too good, and you can't beat Nadal etc etc..... and then he clowned them all at Wimbledon.

I loved all his other wins too obviously. And not just tournament wins like Dubai, Rotterdam, and IW back to back, or blue clay, but individual wins like the one you mentioned against Delpo, and the Murray SF at the WTF. I believe he played Delpo 8 times in 2012. Unbelievable.

For some reason 2012 seems like the end/last great year of a lot of good things. Maybe it's just getting old that sucks.

Video games/sports were more enjoyable for me back then. A lot more.

2012 was one of the best years in ATP history in general. All 4 of the big four (up until Rafa's knee injury), were playing sublime tennis all year simultaneously.

Top Spin 4 was only one year old and I still had not figured out how to drop shot.

The tennis games out at the time were so fun. I was still logging hours and hours and hours into Virtua Tennis 2009. Then when I finally got Top Spin 4 in 2012...

Grand Slam Tennis 2 was fun too because it had commentary from Mcenroe and Pat Cash.

Also had custom characters people made you could download. I had a Ronald Mcdonald character win the CYGS.

Same. I don't play video games much anymore. Back in 2012 I was probably playing a lot more Madden and NHL. I have a PS4 now that I haven't turned on in like 6 months. The last game I was obsessed with was GH3 and that's circa 2007.

The US women are a whole lot more fun to watch then the USMNT....sheesh, the men's team looks like they will sruggle to be competitive in CONCACAF, let alone on the world stage. Yet again.

The men's level in soccer is at a totally different level. In many countries, even slum boys can dribble at a high level. Soccer is quite different from tennis, which mainly attracts nerds from privileged families and requires money and structure. Only very very few men can ultimately stand out at the world level in soccer.

That's true. The U17 USA Men beat the USWNT World Cup winning team 8-0 lol.

I'm aware of the difference in skill levels. Like l said, l enjoy watching the USWNT more than the men's team.

I enjoyed the celebration from Parris after her penalty. England leading Scotland 2-0 at half time.

Highlights of the Brazil vs Jamaica match. Cristiane looks a crackin little player.

Wow! Something excite happened in France on Sunday with the Italian superstar Barbara Bonansea scoring her second goal of the game in extra time to edge Australia 2-1.

I put it on for a couple of minutes. How can anyone watch and not get a migraine? The screeching makes the vuvuzelas at South Africa 2010 sound like a lullaby  I’m not sure where it’s coming from.. the players themselves? The fans? **** me, it sounds like someone’s stepped on a swarm of high pitched wasps or something.

Luckily there’s India v Australia in the cricket World Cup and the Canadian GP to enjoy this evening instead.

It has gotta be Phil Neville shouting from the touchline. :p

It’s fed fans screeching after Ned cut the gap to two in slam race

I see he’s wearing Southgate’s hand-me-downs from last summer :p

Obviously the football is a bit naff, League 2 relegation level. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, mistakes and gaffes can be just as interesting as top level stuff.. maybe even more so at times. It’s just the screeching that’s too much for me.. you ever seen SAS Who dares Wins on Channel 4? At the end where they take them hostage and put headphones on playing excruciating noises to break them? I swear the atmosphere is one of the noises they play o_O

I watched the Australia v Italy match and Australia's ball control in the back 3 was nightmarish.
Also the amount of offsides and late calls for offsides was a bit of a worry, including having to go to a review system. Surely the ref can look at the lines women for a raised flag. It was only a matter of time that the Italian striker slipped through the offside trap and score.

I once bet hypothetical money on Czec Rep beating the NL when he had to win to qualify for Euro 2016. I won some hypothetical money, bragged about it, then lost the integrity of my cheekbone
